Blakeney Company

I wish there was an option to not post a start at all, this rental agency is one of the worst I've ever dealt with. After several years of dealing with rental agencies in Tuscaloosa, Alabama I can honestly say (my opinion) that Blakeney Company is awful. Not only do they not respond to your problems throughout the term of your lease for days to weeks at a time, they completely ignore you at times. You will mainly deal with the son of the founder, William Blakeney, who is awful at keeping his employees (and in my opinion himself) in line. Not only does he not respond to messages until it's completely convenient for him, but he will give you a ton of attitude. He is about as ridiculous as the turnaround times for fixing problems around the house you rent from them. I'd suggest finding another rental company and not having to deal with this headache of a company for an entire year. You'll thank me later. more

WOW! that is all I can say, Blakeney has to be the worst company I have been with ever! We have had so many issues with the house and maintenance takes their time getting to you,, even if you have no heat in the winter nor running water. I believed that it was one of the top 5 rental leasors around here prior to moving in, but I don't think anyone could be worse. If you have an issue after 5, you might as well plan on staying with a friend that night. They have a number, but they will always tell you that they will be there at 7 the next day. William Blakeney, would be a great politician, he is there 24/7 if you are looking to move in, but after you move in,,, you never hear or see him until he wants to know if you want to renew your lease. He is always taking vacations, and is never in the office, and then if you need to meet with him, you might as well just go ahead and pull out your hair. I have had a few friends think about moving into one of their houses, and I have quickly deterred them, and even though I don't know you,,, YOU NEED TO JUST HIT BACK and just look at one of the other large leasing companies. Unless you just don't care about how you are treated and how quickly you want stuff to be fixed,,, then go ahead and sign with them!!
