3 things everyone should know:\r 1. GREEN SERVICE: The completely green service they provide is only provided if you specifically ask for it. Their website used to say this had to be performed monthly and was more expensive. Now they only provide it if you ask for it and it doesn't cost more. When you discover this and call to ask why they weren't providing their Green Service they respond by saying some customers don't like the strong smell, which may be true, but if I call a company called BioGuard and read about how they offer a green service and don't see other options, I'm going to assume I'm getting the green service unless otherwise noted.\r 2. 30 DAY WRITTEN NOTICE TO CANCEL: Once your contract is up, they've also included a clause in the contract that says you have to cancel in writing 30 days in advance. I just called to cancel 7 days in advance and they told me there is no way, it's in my contract. I was not aware of this.\r 3. ECOSMART PRODUCTS USED CAN BE PURCHASED MUCH CHEAPER: Most of the techs that apply their products don't apply according to instructions (some much less). They use EcoSmart products that you can buy for MUCH cheaper at Home Depot and apply yourself. EcoSmarts instructions indicate much more product should be applied and more regularly, especially after rain since it is more natural.\r \r I've had the 5+ services performed as was required in my contract, and I'm canceling my service, after I'm forced to pay $96 for 1 more according to the 30 day written notice requirement as hidden in the contract of course, and will never use their services again. Instead I will seek an honest upfront company for which I would gladly support and even pay more for. more

The worst company period that i have ever done business with!! customer service is horrible, owner/manager wouldnt even return my calls (3 calls to them made in less than 3 weeks). cancelled my contract and they said i had to pay them $109 to do so....said i would seem them in small claims court more

Salesman came to my door, rattled off a bunch of names of my ""neighbors"" I'd never heard of who supposedly signed up for their service, told me what he is going to do to my house without actually ever asking if I wanted the service, and got very nasty when I said I wasn't interested. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been using this company for over a year now. Twice they did not show up to service my home when scheduled. This last time I spoke with a customer service rep twice to find out what was going, and both times I was told someone would call me back, no one returned my calls. I also sent two email they did not respond to them either. I was left hanging all day long. I contacted the company to cancel my service, due to poor customer service and received a bill for 364.00 for an early cancellation fee. After reading reviews online I am not the only person this has happened to. A consumer should have the right to cancel service when a company doesn't provide the stated service without paying a fee. There was a time when the costumer was always right, but no more. When will this treatment of customers stop. more

pest control-TERRIBLE 1/23/2012

WORST company ever!! I have bug, spiders, and mice even though I was gauranteed non of the above. There response- Reservice!! SO to keep the pests away I have have them come out EVERY week!! Seriously?? My last pest control service came twice a year and I never had any problems!! They wont let me out of the contract even though, they didn't keep there end of the contract. I hate them!!!! more

Not worth it and terrible customer service 12/5/2011

Don't waste your money. I was promised quite a bit upfront to get me to sign up and then they did not deliver, period! They promised to spray my detached garage, nothing. They promised to come back the week after the first spraying to do my back yard that was under construction. Nothing! They promised to treat a few different places in my house and then when the tech came they told my wife that they couldn't do it. I never saw any reduction in pests. It was like they were spraying water. I treated my house with some bug spray from the local hardware store and bugs went away. I was told that they would call before they came out again. One day my wife calls me and says that a tech is there spraying our house. This is after I canceled. I called them on it, they said ""yes, they are supposed to call before they come. Sorry!"" That was it. I spent many hours trying to get to the right people and they wouldn't listen. Days after I explained my problem they sent me an invoice for canceling. I sent them an email back detailing my issues. No response. A month later, another invoice. I repeated my actions for the previous invoice. No reply. Today I receive another invoice. Still no response to my issues. Bottom line, they get to sign up with promises they don't fulfill then when you want to cancel because their treatments are worthless they want to charge you for it. Keep your money, treat your house your self, you will be better off in the long run. more

DON'T FALL FOR THIS!!! IT'S $500 JUST TO CANCEL! 10/27/2011

It didn't work, so I asked for my $216 back, and they said it costs $501 to cancel!!! They said I signed up for much more than I was told in the beginning. Not only did none of the treatments work on our house, but they kept coming and charging after I told them to cancel. They said in order to get a refund, they would have to do months of testing and evaluation!!! I paid for my old service to come back, and the bug problem went away within days. THIS IS A SCAM!!!! Don't believe the fake reviews. more

BioGuard Seems like a great company to me! 9/30/2011

I have only had BioGuard for 4 months, but for these first 4 months I can honestly say that they have done a great job for me. My home no longer has the ant and spider problem that I had prior to the service. My technicians have been very friendly and nice. I would recommend them. more

Don't Waste Your Money 9/21/2011

This company uses shady business practices to charge you extra fees and take advantage of you. I would never recommend them to anyone. Take note that your initial visit DOES NOT count as any of your contracted visits, I was never made aware of that. They schedule you for appointments without your knowledge and charge you for cancelling them, even though you had insufficient notice to try and cancel them per their ""contract"". Their sales men do not know what they are selling, and what the contract terms are. They did not tell me the true terms of my contract and I was trapped with no way out. Don't let them have your account and routing numbers because they will just take your money out. It has been nothing but a fight. And, on top of all that, according to other reviews on here the product they sell is crap. It isn't ""organic"" at all. I will never, NEVER listen to a door to door sales man again. The most frustrating thing about this all is that half of my neighborhood was conned into buying their services, and they are all going to get taken advantage of. $270.00 for 3 visits, and I could have spent $10 on my own spray at Home Depot and gotten the same results. BEWARE!!! more

rip-off 7/19/2011

I would put no stars either if i could. I used their services and while they eradicated the wasp problem I had....I moved houses and no longer needed their services. I contacted them to cancel and not only did they NOT cancel they sprayed again on an empty home and withdrew the money from my acct. Now I am having to actively pursue them for my money. I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them unless they want to be ripped off. more

At first I wasn't crazy about listening to the sales guy's spiel, but since I'd been looking for some ant spray that would not be toxic for a toddler, I figured I'd give it a try. He was very polite and friendly. The service tech was just as polite and friendly. They sprayed my whole house and anywhere else I asked them to for ants and also took care of the wasp nests we had in the eaves of our house. I've only had the first service, so we'll see how the rest of them go, but so far so good. :) more

I have really loved my BioGuard Service. At first I was a little skeptical due to a bad experience with my previous company but after getting the service I would say BioGuard is really legit. The service was good, the customer service as been great and most important my bug problem is gone. I would recommend their service. more

This is not a company you want to work with. They have deceptive contract practices and do not honor what they say they are going to do. the dirt as he digs. We paid over $100 for these 2 services. I went to the extent of having Dept. of Argriculture come to my home and collect a dirt sample to be tested. The Lab tech told me that not any of the chemicals in their pesticide were organic and could of very well made my dog ill and more than likely been the cause for dozens of dead Praying Mantis' that we were told would not be affect more

Very Unsatisfied, it's a ripoff 11/13/2010

Please note I signed up under Pest One before Bioguard bought them out. I would put no stars but the rating system won't let me. The salesman got into our home by asking for a drink of water. Then he wouldn't leave without a signed contract for service. I told him over and over we couldn't afford it right now. He assured us that we could cancel a spray anytime we weren't able to afford a regular scheduled spray. Finally we signed to just get rid of him. We canceled the second scheduled spray according to their policy and yet they sprayed anyway. Then they made us pay for the service despite calling and complaining that we had canceled. After that I requested to close the account and they are threatening to sue me for half the agreed contract. I recently spoke to their sprayer about the situation and he told me ""the whole upper management of this company are crooks. It's terrible how they treat some of their clients. I feel uncomfortable working here but I need the job until I can find something else with more honest people."" I have also had bids from other pest control companies since Pestone/ Bioguard and their prices are less than half the cost for the same services and they don't require a contract. What a ripoff and totally unprofessional this company is. What ever happend to good customer service? It isn't found here if you don't conform to their every requirement, yet they don't feel the need to honor your own requirements. more
