A dog's BEST friend 6/9/2011

I have been going to Quakertown Vet for about 5 years now. My dog has had 2 ACL surgeries done by Dr. Denardo. The staff there are wonderful as well as the doctors. Everyone genuinely cares about the animals. I once had to go in for an emergency visit on New Year's Eve and was expecting a bunch of miserable employees since they were stuck working on a day when most people are at home preparing to celebrate. You would have never known it was a holiday, everyone was very warm and pleasant, which helped me a lot since I was already upset that my dog was ill. Thanks Quakertown Vet for all you do! more

Excellent Caring Staff that give their all! 4/13/2011

I have been going to Quakertown Vet Clinic for over 10 years. I have brought my cats and dogs there and have had them treated by many of the doctors over time. The staff has gone out of their way so many times. You know that they care about the animals as much as you do. I cant say enough about Dr. Geller, who is very knowledgable and participates in studies to bring new treatments to the clinic. It's a busy clinic but they make you feel as if your pet is the most important. Thank you to all the staff! more

Highly recommended for birds 9/7/2010

Dr Clark is knowledgeable and compassionate. She cured one of my lovebirds of a severe respiratory illness many years ago, and stopped an excess egging problem in my present pet. I could not be more appreciative or impressed by her skills. more

They cared immediately 8/16/2010

We are new to house rabbits. She had been limping for days after a high jump (my fault). I called Friday night and got the receptionist who did everything she could to help and appologized that there would be an extra charge on off hours - kind of a Dah to me. Bunny was doing a little better but we kept the Monday appointment. The vet taught us so much in at least half an hour and gave us some anti-inflamatory. To make the bunny comfortable, the whole appointment was spent on the floor. We were thrilled and the appt.was very reasonable. We were convinced to have her spade. She is over 5 and we were afraid of anesthesia at her age. It seems that it was done just in time as she already had many cysts and a precancerous condition. Drs Clark and Mickley (and the surgeon) saved her life, that's all there is to it. She is happier and healthier now than any day since we rescued her. more

Great Vets! 7/5/2010

Took my sick cat there and he recieved the very best care! He couldn't walk and had stopped eating and drinking. They took the time to teach me all I needed to know to care for him at home. Dr Rupp did physical therapy on him for weeks and he is now able to walk. I never even knew there was such a service for cats. She was more than generous with her time and talent and I will forever be greatful for saving my baby! The time I have spent there I have gotten to know several other Dr's and the rest of the staff could not have been more supportive! Thanks again for saving Boomers life, you are truely amazing! Pros: Always available more

Awful experience 6/28/2010

Several years ago we took our cat to Qtown Vet Clinic to be neutered. She returned home to us and immediately vomited every food and began to waste. We took her back for IV treatment overnight- they sent her home the next day- but she continued to waste & died a day later. We called them to report this and receieved no condolence. Later we recieved a HUGE bill. I called them quite upset because I felt that our previously very healthy and outgoing cat had been exposed to something while she was there- and that I should not have to pay for the emergency visit that they caused. Their cold response was that we never had her autopsied - interestingly, they conveniently had never mentioned even a possiblility of autopsy when I called to report her death earlier- (now she was buried and it was too late!) Basically- in dealing with a mourning customer- their attitude was not careing- but literally said to me "YOU CANT PROVE IT?!" This head vet person had me in such tears- I had never heard of such coldness- especially from one who is supposed to be healiing and caring for animals! I would never recommend taking an animal there- even for an emergency- for apparently the money matters more to them than your pet. Pros: none Cons: believe cat caught fatal illness while there. more

horribe horrible horrible 3/20/2010

traveled from northampton to quakertown for sick parrot after area vets were closed & valley central had no avian vet on duty. we were seen by dr clarke who gave us three options 1. admit the bird with cash due up front of 600.00 2.take the bird home & monitor her condition. 3.let her keep the bird and she would pay its medical bill but we would still have to pay 300.00. we left and drove 97 miles to red bank animal hospital in n.j. they gave our parrot iv fluids , put her on an an antibiotic and we have follwed up with allentown animal clinic for the past few weeks. she is doing very well would not take an animal to quakertown EVER EVER again would have given minus 1 star rating if it was an option more

I have been going to this clinic for years. They are a large practice. They got to be so big because they are that good! Doctors and staff are caring and courteous, the medical care is state of the art. If you need a new vet, check this place out, they are wonderful...I am sure if all the satisfied customers posted a review on here, they wouldnt fit!........21 years of service, for my large and small animals...I would never go anywhere else! WE LOVE YOU QVC!!! XXXXX Pros: Great Service, Good people, professional care Cons: NON! more

Awful Vet Misdiagnosed my Dogs Overcharged 11/22/2009

Do not go to this vet, I was stupid enough to return. Do not make the same mistake. I had to diagnose my dogs with Bloat and arthritis of the spine and demand X-rays. They also charged me for procedures that were not done. When I complained the "personal representative" hung up on me. They also did a Vet check for a horse I bought that I had to return when my farrier told me I could not ride this horse. Also when my dog was dying of bloat the staff was laughing at her X-rays saying they looked like a bobby pillow! I would not go back to this facility if they were the last vets on earth. Pros: Non Cons: Misdiagnosed my Dogs Overcharged more

Awful Experience 11/11/2009

Took my 2 animals for an emergency visit. For my dog they miss diagnosed her and said she did not have bloat when she did. I had to insist on a X-ray. When they did X-ray her her stomach twisted. 2 members of the staff were laughing at her X-ray b/c it looked like a bobby pillow. Very cruel. My cat they charged me for a bath they never gave her. Staff is rude and they try to charge you for everything. They even asked me my budget on "what I could afford" When I complained about the above their "personal representative" hung up the phone on me. Stay away from this clinic. Go to U of Penn or Metropolitan in Trooper. Pros: None Cons: Expensive and rude more

Worst vet ever!!!!!! 10/22/2009

Incompetent vets, nickle and dime you for everything! complete rip off and they let our dog die in a cage there and screwed up my other dog's surgery and charged me to redo it!!!!! They left my dog sit in a cage for 4 days until they could get around to operate on her!!!!!!!! while she had a severely dislocated back leg!!!!! will NEVER go there again!!1 then they tried to charge me to take my xrays to my new vet, which i paid for in the 1st place!!!! Pros: None Cons: Everything more

DO NOT GO to this Vet! 7/26/2009

This clinic mis-diagnosed cancer in my dog, He will either have to have his leg removed or be put down within the next week because of the neglect of this clinic. Never returning calls, Vet made appt & then never showed up, they kept renewing pain pills even when I said my 1 year old pup was getting worse. Bad choice, They will charge you over $200 a visit and toss your dog aside. Fort Washington Vet is trying to save him...go there! Cons: They do not care, it about the money not the pet more
