i had my guitar "super tuned" at Bill's and it came back worse than when I sent it there. There aren't a lot of quality guitar repair guys in Baltimore, I had to reaort to lookin...

A Baltimore-area institution, Bill's has expanded over the years to two buildings and now also sells and rents school band and orchestra gear. They specialize in the rock instruments and have plenty of guitars and basses to try out. Nothing super-high end but they have all the big names. Often you'll get a really good price, and check out the used section buried in the back left-hand side. more

I need to tell you how impressed I was 5/30/2012

I need to tell you how impressed I was with Bill's Music. I walked into the ""other"" guitar store in desperate need of a Bass guitar. After 30 minutes of being ignored I was finally approached when starting to walk out the door. So, I took the longer drive to Bill's Music and was impressed with the stock and service! Paul was completely attentive and treated me as if I was a rock star (even though I am far from it). I left with a Rickenbacker and a feeling of total contentment and satisfaction! I'll be sure to drive the extra miles to visit you again soon! more

This place is great 5/16/2012

As far as selection goes this place is great and does have some of the occasional hidden gems. I found a Jackson DK2 eerie Dess here and snatched up immediately. THe staff has always been very helpful, through emails and in person. They have even exchanged some stuff for me that they didn't have to. more

DJ Equipment Rental 4/20/2012

I rented some DJ equipment from them and found the price to be pretty good. Everything worked and the party was a success. The store is big so it has to be housed in 2 buildings. They have everything from new to used guitars, drums, amps and anything else a musician would need. You can try out the instruments before purchase to make sure they are in working order. more

I really only looked through your guitars. Best stocked music store in the area, as far as I'm concerned...and right after Christmas, too, which was pretty amazing. This was my first trip to Bill's, but I'll definitely be back as my skill level, and desire for more equipment, grows. more

Nick was awesome!! He responded quickly and thoroughly to my e-mail inquiry (which is precisely why I came up to Bill's instead of another dealer) about the Tak EF341SC, which I had researched thoroughly on the Internet...so he didn't really need to do a whole lot...;^) I asked for him when I got to the store in the middle of a busy Saturday, and he was there to help immediately, answered all of the questions I had to ask. Sale was smooth and quick, a great purchasing experience! I'm sure Nick is one of the reasons you guys have the excellent reputation you do. more
