Robbed by Bike Gallery 2/11/2008

After spending top retail price for multiple parts, including a wheel, I was assured that the shop would install the parts for no extra charge. After the sales guy filled out my order form and gave me the estimated repair price, he added over $100 in extra costs. After questioning him, he assured me that the extras would only be added in a worst case scenario. When I picked up my bike sure enough they attempted to charge me for all of the items including $50 for bleeding my hydraulic disc brakes... Pros: location Cons: high prices, dishonest, liars, unorganized more

Great Shop. Great People 12/26/2005

I took my trusty old cannondale in for some service and decided to get the Overhaul Special. Not only did the mechanic do a spectacular job fixing up my old bike, But it seems to work better than the day I bought it. Great Job Guys! Plus, when one of my brakes went out of adjustment a month or so later, they checked over the whole bike again to make sure everything was working properly at no charge. Im Impressed!! Pros: Customer Service, Quick turn-around, Friendly Staff more

poor value for expensive service 11/21/2005

they were too expensive for the repairs made, other bike shops are friendlier and have better value. they nickel and dime every detail to the point of irritation when you get the bill. the other negative critique was accurate. i could go back but won't. try another bike shop and save yourself money and aggravation. Pros: sell one product, push their product Cons: expensive parts, expensive service, don't care attitude more

Customer service defined. 5/16/2005

The mechanics here know their stuff and are always willing to thoroughly explain the work they've done. They're also very cool about answering questions. I never get the ""I don't have time"" attitude that I sometimes get at other shops. Their parts inventory is great and if I need to order something they don't stock, they get it quickly. Most importantly, the staff here is friendly - and you can tell it's because they love bikes - not because they just want to sell you one. Pros: Friendly, Knowledgeable, Attentive more

Very Impressive 5/16/2005

I was riding my bike up by OHSU and got a flat tire. I did't have a spare, so I called the guys at Bike Gallery....THEY CAME AND FIXED MY FLAT!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. THIS is service at its best. They wouldn't even take a tip. I have always had great service at all of the Bike gallery stores, and out on the local rides (Spring Century, Reach the Beach etc) from them, but this was amazing. They seem to REALLY care about thier customers. Pros: Service, Staff, Caring more

BEWARE Cannondale owners! 2/2/2005

I paid over 200 dollars to have my Cannondale mountain bike (including head shock) overhauled at this location and was assured by the staff that they could repair Cannondale mountain bikes. During my first ride after the overhaul, my front shock literally came apart. When I returned the bicycle for warranty repair, they said that they could not/ would not repair it. They went on to tell me that although I paid for the overhaul, they had worked on the shock for 'free' and I was not entitled to a refund. Cons: customer service, technical ability, integrity more
