Big Pink

My wife and I had a great dinner experience at The Big Pink tonight. We're in Miami Beach for a few days and read some great revews about the restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try. Our expectations were not only met...they were totally surpassed! This restaurant is honest and true...no pretentiousness at all...it is what it is! Great tasting food at very reasonable prices...oh yeah, and the portions are huge!\r \r Our waiter, Eric, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He took his time and answered all of our questions honestly and with a tremendous amount of confidence...he knows that menu inside-out! Eric made our experience at The Big Pink that much more enjoyable. Thanks so much, Eric!\r \r The Big Pink serves great food at reasonable prices in a very relaxed and laid-back setting. Next time we're in Miami Beach, we'll definitely pay them another visit! more

Service was a little slow, even in the off season (we went on 8/2/12) but the food was really good. One of the best cesar salad's I've had in a long time--ordered a side and it was gigantic. My bf and I split the BBQ Chicken sandwich... good thing we did because it was enormous. Literally. Two chicken breasts, side by side, held together with thick bacon and a ton of cheese. Fed both of us and two homeless people on Ocean Drive later that evening =) Cheapest prices around South Beach, too! Full bar and a TON of selections. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch! more

So amazing to sit outside at BP and see all the showcase of hot cars driving in SB. Ferraris, Maseratis, Rolls... and all those amazing sexy people...Good lord. Oh yeah...the waitstaff is ridiculously good looking and their sweet potato fries are the bomb! Pure hotness at Big Pink! more

Always fabulous! Nice folks who really care about the little things like cold beer mugs. Excellent food and great value. Best chicken soup around. The hummus platter is delightful and the blackened grouper sandwich is wonderful and enough for two people. more

Shocked! Had the crusted yellowfin sandwich. A little pricey but well worth it. I've paid three times as much for worse. A bargain for food in South Beach. Who knew? more

I work at South Beach a lot and I have a difficult time finding affordable and good places to dine. \r \r All of the places on Ocean Drive taste exactly the same and have the same Menu. \r \r This place on 2nd Street is different. The menu is massive the food is outstanding.\r \r While the service is mega slow, the food is worth every bite.\r \r I had the french toast and it was the best I have had in a long time. The other food items are great as well.\r \r Please, take your family here, come by and eat a real good meal for a real good price in a very cool area . . more

Waitress issue: good food lousy service made this a bad experience. Waitress was slow to acknowledge, us, slow to take order, had to be prompted, waited almost 30 minutes for food in not to packed restaurant. Ordered Rye toast, served Wheat, waitress disappeared from time to time or was observed having a grand chat with friends on the side, had to be tapped on the shoulder to deliver the check!\r The crowning glory was an unanticipated 17% service charge on the check which I did not notice until after I left the restaurant leaving what I thought was a $5 tip on $90!! \r \r NEVER AGAIN!!! more

Food was great but if you're looking for key line pie in Miami this is not the place to go!!! more

Use to be one of my fav restaurants on south beach! Not anymore... :( service wasn't so great... Food was not up to expectations. Totally not what it use to be. more

Love everything on the menu at big pink wether it be nachos, a burger or a burrito love the pink lemonade and I'm such an addict when it comes to pink lemonade love the dessert, sitting outside is sometimes better considering u won't be crowded. more

Lots of options on the menu, it's almost overwhelming. Great place if you want to eat pancakes for dinner. Service is great too. Delicious! more

Upon arrival at Big Pink, we were excited. We were visiting Miami for the first time, and there were alot of good reviews about this place. We walked in, and a very friendly man escorted us to our table. (and thats were, my good experience at big pink stops) When we sat down, it took our server forever to take our drink order. Once she finally acknowledged us, she was rude as hell. I have never in my life had such horrible service. I ordered hummus as an appetizer and my friend ordered guacamole. Her guacamole came out, and my hummus was nowhere to be found. We get our entrees out and my salad was mediocre,the chicken on it was chilled which was different, but I didn't really like the change. We told the guy who delievered our food that we never got the hummus, I guess he didn't really care and didn't notify our server or try to get it out to us. Finally, after we are almost done with our food, our mean server comes and THEN asks if i want the hummus. I am a server and I realize that things happen, and servers make mistakes, but her attitude was just awful. We asked her to split our checks up at the end, which she didn't. we then take at least 5 whole minutes to explain how to split the checks up after she printed it because she didn't care enough to split it up the first time. I was very tempted to complain to the manager but didn't because I am a nice person. but over all, miami could improve on their hospitality skills. more
