Nice hangout spot with friends for good drinks and food. Got nice private spot to enjoy a good time. Would come again. Good service at our lane so not having get up.

Better Food than you'd expect...! 8/3/2011

I went to Big Al's with low expectations - I Mean it's a bowling alley right? WRONG. This place is very good. Especially for a sports bar or bowling alley. The food is far better than expected. The burgers are phenomenal, the fish tacos are incredible and everything else we've ordered has been great. the service can be slow at times but it's a HUGE place. It definately aint fast food. but it doesnt taste like either..... more

Impressive! 5/26/2011

I had heard that this place was something different for Beaverton and I decided to go with my wife and two daughters this last weekend. To say it is different would be an understatement. Not only is the building itself impressive but so was what they had to offer. The Arcade was the favorite for my girls, there must be 100's of games, but for me the Sports bar was the most memorable. I have never seen screens so big, not even in Vegas. The food was good too, I had the Near Death Burger which was REALLY different and delicious, the girls had the fish tacos which were huge and tasty. Good times! We'll be back. At last we have a clean, fun place to go in Beaverton! more

So much fun!!!!! 5/26/2011

Went to Big Al's in Beaverton yesterday and had so much fun. This is a great place for the whole family to enjoy! When we got to Big Al's we walked in and the place was amazing! They have a great Happy Hour and GREAT service. When we went bowling the guy at the front desk was so friendly he told us all the fun things to do and explained to us how the acrade worked. My kids had a great time playing all the games while my husband and I enjoyed a nice adult beverage. Thanks for coming to the area Big Al's! My family and I will definatly be back! more

This is not the place for you 4/27/2011

I have been to both of the "BIG AL's" in Vancouver and Beaverton. Let me start with my experience in Vancouver. The service is slow. We actually got tired of waiting to have our order taken by someone..... anyone that we sent one of our party to the Burgerville to get us food. We took turns going outside to eat our food. It wasn't until half of us had consumed our food from somewhere else that we had someone come over and ask if we were ready to order yet.. We handed the menus back and proceeded to attempt to order a round of drinks. Little did we know the hassle it would be to JUST ORDER DRINKS. When we got the bill there were cocktails on our bill which was over $60. WE EACH HAD ONE BEER. There were four of us. We would have been stuck with the bill if it hadn't been for the people that we met there refusing to allow us to be bullied by the staff and management. They saw who it was that had the drinks.............oh and then the server remembered it wasn't us. this after the manager threatened to call the police if we didn't pay. NO APOLOGY WAS OFFERED NOR WOULD IT HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED! My BIG AL bowling experience in Beaverton was suppoesed to be better. Turns out the employees that failed to live up to the "HIGH" standard in Vancouver we sent to the minors in Beaverton. There must be an IQ test that you have to fail in order to be employed and or manager one of these places. I compete in an annual event that unfortunately is held at BIG ALs. My bowling is paid for. I go for that reason only and pack a lunch that I will respectively eat in my car between sessions. They will receive not Dime one of MY MONEY. I advise all to avoid this business lest they experience they same loss of time and enjoyment that I did in my times at BIG ALs. Yes thats right I said times as I had mistakenly believed that the poor service I was receiving was an anomoly. Turns out that piss poor service and overpricing is the standard at BIG Als. Other than that I guess you could say the bathrooms were clean. more

The worst service I've ever had. Ever. 4/23/2011

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Here is the gist: TERRIBLE, RUDE, SLOW SERVICE. Took over an hour to to get food, only after sitting there for 30 minutes to be helped. The food is alright (price sucks for kind of food they serve). Spend your money and time else where. Myself and 3 other friends get there at 9.45 on a Friday night for dinner at the main restaurant area. There is about 5 or 6 other tables so it is not packed at all. It takes 30 minutes for a server to finally come to our table (this is only after making direct eye contact and staring them down, does someone finally come) and ask us for drinks. No apology or anything, especially considering that fact that another party comes in AFTER us and is served drinks before we even get any help!! Ok, so then ANOTHER 30 minutes later (not exaggerating) they come with our drinks. This server has the audacity to ask, "Are you ready to order, or do you need more time?" Um...exactly why would anyone need more time if they have been given an hour to memorize the entire menu?? Some time goes by and a completely different server comes out with napkins (napkins? We ordered food, not extra napkins?). She tells us that she will be our new server...uuuh...were we that difficult to serve that the other waitress (named Nicole with the shirt #30 on it, by the way) was incapable or serving us? She instead started cleaning mustard bottles. Okay. 25 - forever - minutes later. Yes, 25 MORE minutes. The food is finally brought out (only 3 out of 4 of us ordered, so it shouldn't have taken that long anyway). Our meal was alright, one person ordered a burger with gluten free buns. The check comes out, they charge us $2.50 for some puny buns?? No where on the menu does it say there is an extra charge and the server FAILED to tell us there would be that charge. I would've been happier to know that I would be paying this ahead of time, but it was rude to find this out in the check. The worst part is that it wasn't even busy. If it was I could have more understanding, but no. I will never come back. more

Expensive 4/6/2011

The staff is ok, the bowling is nice. Overall tooooo exxxpeennnsssiive!!! more

you want to charge me what! 3/29/2011

Think about that baker I wanted with the $17 pork shanks (small) and ask yourself why would you offer sour cream on a baker spud for only 99cents... Why is there ketchup on the table, maybe I would have ordered fries if you get my drift...$7 beer on happy hour taking 8 minutes to draw is a bit over most budgets timewise and monitarily as well. What are you thinkin'? The food was good but I will be sore for a long time! ~ by the way~ wife wanted your low-low priced ($22) steak, but you were out. Hmmm. She settled for the burger and had to ask for her salad when I was half way through mine... waitress could have asked if she wanted it now... as well, no asking if she wanted a refill on the Pepsi, but asked if I wanted another $7 beer... Classless act... See ya in my next life. What was I thinkin'! more

Worst. Service. Ever. 3/26/2011

Paid for 2 games of bowling but unfortunately only had receipts for 6 out of the 8 people we were with....so when we got cut off half way through the second game and tried to complain, we were told that unless we were able to come up with the other receipts, too bad. So after a large argument, we were thrown out of the place over $6 dollars. So congratulations Big Al's, I hope that extra money was worth it, we just wanted to finish our game. I did appreciate the managers smirk and total unwillingness to discuss the issue in any sort of rational way, he simply just preferred to hide behind his security. more

WOW WOW WOW 3/26/2011

I've been going to this new Big Al's since it opened and this place is amazing. The last time we came in was for the first round of march madness and it was great. Our server was super friendly and the manager even came over to check on us. If you love sports, food and great service you should come check this spot out. Only downside is they get very busy for big events so I guess get there early. more

Great food 3/24/2011

In the Restaurant area ask for "Houston" to be your server. He is the best! Good service with him average with anyone else. Fun place to take kids for the games. more

Very Rude Staff and Management 1/11/2011

I have been to 2 different Big Als and somehow end up with the worst service I've ever had, and never handles the bills right. We always make it as easy as possible and yet they still don't get it. Management which are made to build relationships with the customers and make sure nothing gets handled incorrectly treat all customers like their the enemy and are extremely rude. Went to the vancouver Big Als to watch the BCS championship and were moved to a private bowling lane to watch the football game cause there were too many people in the sports bar. We were specifically told there would be NO bowling, and then they decided to change their mind and let people bowl. Couldn't hear a damn thing. We decided to stand for the whole game in the sports bar to watch the game, but the servers kept bumping into us and saying we need to get over into the corner and stay out of their way. We told them we were going to watch the game in the sports bar, yet the servers kept on hounding us and asking "are you guys planning on paying your bill" and "we get a lot of walk outs so you better close your tab." And when we told them the situation and why we were standing and that we were treated badly from the staff, the manager was EXTREMELY rude and didn't care for a single word we said. She even said she'd kick us out if we cause any problems. We DIDN'T do a single thing wrong, HELL we even tried to stay in the F'n corner like they told us too. The manager said that we were in the staff's way and need to find somewhere else to watch the game. She even said that we were on our last line and would have us escorted out. WHAT THE HELL!!!! I can't speak anymore nice things for this place and will never recommend going there. ESPECIALLY the one in vancouver. HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. more
