A Hollywood icon, come here to part of history. Swim in the pool where the stars have sunbathed and swam. Rooms and common areas have underdone a complete renovation and are luxurious and comfortable. more

Awesome place for comfort! 3/23/2009

This hotel was remodeled a few years ago. Very contemporary, very upscale and chic furniture. I absolutely love and highly recommend the pool area. The service and the staff is great at the pool, along with the food. The newly improved Trader Vics' bar is also quite an attraction. Don't be surprised if you see a celebrity frolicking in the water. Pros: Classy, High end Cons: Expensive more

LOVELY VIEWS 8/25/2008

We had the most spectacular room. The windows to the balcony were floor to ceiling (tall ceiling). The view across LA was just stunning at sun rise and sun set. We really enjoyed our room here. more

great city weekend getaway 8/1/2008

I was surprised when I walked in at how big and beautiful it was and even more surprised when I got to the pool level. The pool is huge and there are more than enough lounge chairs unlike every other hotel I have stayed at in LA. Also cool at night you can get drinks at Trader Vics and they show old surfing movies on the side of the building! There was a gorgeous view from the room and a large balcony and everyone is so friendly!! Be sure to visit the spa, it's small but right next to the pool and has a great lounge and the services are very reasonably priced. Pros: huge pool level with a resort feel, spa, service, views Cons: between two very busy streets more

This is what neglect does to a hotel 11/7/2007

My family started staying here when I was a teenager back in the 70's and we always liked it but as time went by it really became run down. It's too bad because in general Hilton's are rather decent. (although this particular one was privately owned by Merv Griffin) I remember the penthouse restaurant in the pre Stardust days when it was L'Escoffier and it was as fabulous as a restaurant could be. In fact many people claim Merv bought the hotel just so he could always have his favorite table there. The current Stardust is not noteworthy. You get the feeling that this was a wonderful place in days gone by but it has fallen into ruin. The hotel has a shabby sense about it. Again, it's ashame because it was such a glorious place & in a primo location. If you are in Beverly Hills go to any number of other very fine, elegant hotels. This one will be a let down. Pros: Great location Cons: shabby (and I don't mean chic) more

Avoid the Beverly Hilton 10/15/2007

My expectations were not met. For all the hipe I got about the stars using this hotel I was disappointed in the hotel. Now granted, I know it's Beverly Hills, however, I still don't like to spend ridiculous amounts of money. First off there was no coffee maker in my room. The spa was really far from my room...I stayed in the standard room and had to walk by the main entrance, down the stairs, pass the restaurant and the lounge/bar and finally arrived. Now the spa...they screwed up my facial appointment..they said they only schedule one facial person at a time so you don't have the option of scheduling a facial together with a friend...I found that odd for such a large hotel. I did have a massage there and it was wonderful. Avoid the salon there unless you like are prepared to spend serious dollars...pedicure is $75 which I was unwilling to pay. \r The pros: the employees are extremely nice, the place is gorgeous, the C..55 restaurant had wonderful food, I had a leaky toilet which was fixed immediately.\r \r Tip: An alternative to ordering room service is to go down to the main level open lounge...they have a great menu, coffee and tea for reasonable prices...unlike room service prices. Cons: The pool didnt' have a hot tub from what I could see more

Attended an event here and thought the ballroom was breathtaking. Definitely old Hollywood. Wonderful place to hold a lg event. more

A Great Hotel 3/20/2006

I went there for a family vacation to just take some time off from the real world. It is a very expensive hotel but if you somehow happen to have some extra money or coupon like I did then dont miss this opportunity. The staff, food, services, and hotel accommodations are excellent. My only real complaint is the price - other than that GREAT! PROS: Everything CONS: Expensive more

I love this place! 6/13/2005

I have stayed at the Beverly Hilton twice and love it. It has a very ""old Hollywood"" feel to it and a great location right in the middle of Beverly Hills. We found the staff to be very friendly at the front desk, the lobby bar, Griff's and Trader Vic's. The rooms are well appointed. They are on the small side, but plenty of storage in the bathroom and closet. We stayed in a terrace room overlooking the pool which was wonderful. My only complaint is internet connection is $20 a day. You would think with everything else they offer, they would include internet connection. Also, would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room. There is a Starbucks within walking distance, so I can overlook this. I will definately stay here again soon. Pros: location, staff Cons: paid internet, no coffe maker more

Perfect property 6/27/2002

Stayed last night at the Beverly Hills Hilton on business. My room (644) was excellent- large, balcony, desk, king bed and very clean. The staff was outstanding. From the clerk to the wait staff in the restaurants- perfect service. I will be back. more
