Best Plumbing

My sewer backed up just before bedtime, and I was planning to head out of town for a long weekend first thing in the morning. A call to Best Plumbing gave me the option of engaging their 24 hour emergency service or waiting till normal business hours the next day. Against my conservative nature, I decided to roll the dice and wait till morning, crossing my fingers that they could respond first thing. I made contact at 0700, the Best truck arrived before 0800, and by 0830 the problem was fixed and we were both out the door. Responsiveness, professionalism, and expertise deserve these five stars! more

I could not be more pleased with their service. They came right out, were totally professional, friendly and affordable. It's nice to have a plumber you can trust to call! more

They were good natured and willing to explain and show me what was going on despite lying prone on the ground. I was so happy that it wasn't pouring rain. At the beginning of July I noticed my water heater leaking. As might be expected, I was disappointed as I had purchased a new Bradford-White water heater from the Best Plumbing showroom four years before in 1996. I had installed it myself and unfortunately lost the reciept. I called and explained my situation, and the very helpful person on the phone assured me they could send someone right over to take a look and give a free estimate, possibly replacing it the same day if I wished. So far, so good! more

Bryan, I wanted to say thank you. When my entire bathroom started reversing grey water into the house at 6am yesterday, I called a couple of plumbers close by and they either didn?t call back or said they couldn?t come out. When it finally occurred to me to call Best, you not only picked up the phone before business hours, you made sure I?d have someone out ASAP, and gave me an ETA of two hours. Exactly 2 hours later, Phil knocked on my door. He was professional, fast, and a pleasure to work with. He explained things to my husband and me, and was patient with our questions. He gave us a bunch of tips that will help us maintain our pipes ongoing, and he had some upgrade suggestions for us as well. We had a huge main line clog, and when the water reversed direction, it forced parts of the clog into the sink, shower and toilet, so he really had his work cut out for him. It took him a few hours, but he never once sounded frustrated or like he had to hurry off to the next job. He didn?t even laugh at us when we realized that my husband had snaked the vent, not the sink drain, in his attempts to clear it. I truly appreciate the fantastic service, and have already raved about you guys on the West Seattle Blog, so expect some West Seattle business to come your way. J Thank you, again, for everything! I recently remodeled my bathroom and ordered many of the accessories from Best Plumbing since they had a great selection. I was on kind of a time delay and asked if the items would arrive before my deadline. I was assured that they would each of the three (3) times I asked. Then - no, they weren't there as promised. And they weren't there the nexxt day or even the next day or the day after that. Eventually bits arrived, but not all the pieces together and in the end, my toilet paper holder took over 30 days to arrive at their location. Which meant I drove there 5 times to pick up pieces. Each time I had to wait a long time for someone to help me and everyone was really rude. I tried complaining about how long things were taking and expresssing my dissatisfaction at their failure to meet their word, and was chastized for thinking things would arrive on time -- ""30 days is what we tell people to expect for delivery."" Pros: good selection Cons: rude staff and long delivery time more

It was really hard to get a salesperson's attention from the start. We did finally find one who gave us a relatively reasonable price on the products. The they were delivered several days late. We called several times for technical information on installation, but the calls were never returned, and when we got through, the service department seemed annoyed at the question. We finally returned to the store, and received conflicting information from two different salespeople. We really expected more from the ""Best"" plumbing. more
