Best

Best Buy is a very bad electronic store with there prices and service. I returned a item and the receipt says 10 days you will receive a check in the mail if it is more then $250....

Worst

Best Buy offers some pretty decent prices for cds and other electronics. In fact, some of their sales are pretty good for picking up new computer parts or tvs. Other than that, ...

Bought a defective appliance and they were quick to assist me with the refund. Thank you so much for being such a good seller. more

The LAST place you want music lessons 5/1/2011

I have students that work at different Best Buys and they say it's the biggest joke. When Best Buy first got into the music biz, it's very obvious they tried to view lessons as mass production and decided that it was unnecessary and too expensive to have a separate sales staff and competent teaching staff. Solution: make sure to always hire people who CLAIM to play an instrument and when a customer comes in wanting a lesson, that salesman will now be your teacher even if they have only been playing a few months. They have been the laughing stock ever since but now they think the best way to fix their bad reputation is to team up with a telemarketer scam takelessonsDOTcom who basically does the same thing but just a lot more aggressive and shameless about lying about their imaginary ""staff"" of instructors. Now, if you respond to an ad because you like the bio an pic of the instructor but ""their"" instructor doesn't work at Best Buy, TOO BAD! It's the classic bait-and-switch"" You are not only going to be told, ""Too late, the teacher in the ad is filled up,"" but the ""counselor"" (salesman) will pressure you to sign up right now with one of their ""certified"" teachers at a Best Buy near your address, you will miss your ""opportunity"" to sign up at all so you really don't have time to meet the teacher first, They do not want you to meet your teacher before you pay. THIS IS NUMBER ONE OF ALL RULES OF SHOPPING FOR MUSIC LESSONS; TALK TO YOUR TEACHER BEFORE YOU SIGN UP NOT A SALESMAN. Takelessons/Best Buy has to force you to make the biggest mistake to sign up with them for lessons. All Takelessons does is SELL the ILLUSION of credibility, the ILLUSION that you need them and the ILLUSION that they are helping you, JUST LIKE EVERY CON! They know how to target people who know absolutely nothing about music. No wonder Takelessons was able to fool the head of Best Buy. But then again, Best Buy is the only company whose reputation in the music lessons field is as bad as Takelessons. more

In Store Pickup Santee 12/10/2010

Recently made a purchase online for in-store pickup to save time, BIG MISTAKE! The two "Associates" were busy so I stood for almost 20 min before being helped. Had received an email confirming item had been picked. The store didn't even have it. Offered a more expensive item which I asked for at the lower price. Everyone who could authorize the price change was in a meeting. Associate tried to cancel the online order. After 15 min on hold I told her to forget it. In the mean time other customers had to wait because other "associates" didn't know how to do returns. The call to cancel the original purchase took over 40 min. more

Fantastic electronics store 6/27/2010

Best buy, in my opinion, is one of the best electronics stores out there. They always have exactly what I'm looking for and their customer service is phenomenal. I really can't ask for more but if I could, it would be better prices so I can buy more. Pros: Great customer service more

Best Buy shouldn't still be in business 12/14/2009

I don't understand why people still shop at Best Buy. The only reason I go to this store is because I occasionally get gift certificates. After every visit, I'm shocked that they are still in business Their employees are not qualified to give advice. Their prices are not competitive with online retailers. Their return policy is a nightmare. They are pushy with warranty sales. They have a poor selection of products. If you're going to Best Buy for advice on anything you're just going to get bad advice. Geek Squad charges ridiculous prices for very basic services and has shown itself to be incompetent. more

We have always been satisfied 7/29/2008

We have always gone to Best Buy for advice, then checked prices. We feel Best Buy has competitive prices AND they at least have someone who will talk to you about the product. Really frustrating with Frys, in fact never go there as get no assistance. Our favorite, local electronics store. Thanks. more

Excellent 11/24/2005

Best buy is the place to go for cheap CDs and DVDs as well as electronics. The prices are always very fair and the customer service is decent. The workers do not really know what they're talking about though. more

Best buy... 7/6/2005

Best Buy offers some pretty decent prices for cds and other electronics. In fact, some of their sales are pretty good for picking up new computer parts or tvs. Other than that, the place gets packed on a daily basis so sometimes parking is tight. Their return/exchange policies are ridiculous, the staff is incompetent, and management is just not helpful. Steer clear if you need any help or quality service. more

Relatively Low Prices 6/29/2005

Best Buy has a very large selection of cds and will accomodate all of your electronic and entertainment needs. While the prices are low, it still is a corporation and will make a profit off of you. While Best Buy specializes in home entertainment, their large cd collection is hard to resist. For all current releases, go to Best Buy. more

Really is one of the best 6/27/2005

Best Buy is a one stop shop for all electronics. They do a really nice job with the huge amount of electronics, whether its computers, home theater, cameras, cell phones, or anything else there might be. Theres someone to help around every corner and the store is just astounding to just look around, the only weakness is the heavy lines when they are busy, but thats what happens when you have such a vast selection. more

Love those prices 6/10/2005

The best thing I can say about Best Buy is that it really does have some goo sales and special promotions. It's also convenient if you want a variety of electronics products and are short on time. Best Buy is one of my favorite places to do Christmas shopping. Even though the lines are ridiculous, it's still only ONE long line I have to stand in rather than a long line at a bunch of different stores. This particular location has lots of stuff, friendly staff, is nice and clean, and has adecent amount of parking by SoCal standards. more

Best buy 6/9/2005

Not the best Best Buy in San Diego yet it is still a good place to go for electronics. It is alot older than the Mira Mesa BestBuy however the prices are the same but the service is worse for the most part. I did have a bad experience when tryin to return something at this Best Buy, and the workers weren't as polite as the Mira Mesa workers more

wow! 6/4/2005

this place is amazing! even though im not that big on electronics, they have a lot of things that i find interesting. theres a variety of televisions, stereos, computers, video games and home appliances. they usually have pretty good sales and are always packed during the holidays. the store is simply HUGE and its hard to see everything in one visit. more

Amazing store! 5/23/2005

Best Buy rocks! This place isn't that old, but has been a great place for me to get electronics since it has opened. They have a HUGE selection of games and I love to drop by just to play them. They have everything a normal person would need, from MP3 players to personal home theaters. Best Buy is the one stop for nice deals on electronics and home appliances. more

i've been to better 5/21/2005

i remember when best buy first came to san diego, everyone thought it was amazing and blew all other electronic stores out of the water. but now that they have settled down, their prices are a tad higher than other competitors and their service supposedly isnt too great. i guess its still a good store to buy from, but my experiences with them arent exactly phenomenal. more

BEST BUY 5/2/2005

Looking for electronics? then try your local best buy store, which provides you with a variety of products! best buy offers the best brand names like sony, panasonic, toshiba. they sell from computers to music- to even blenders! they also have an online page where you can order your item then pic it up at the store. HUZZAH! more

bunch of dick heads 4/17/2005

bad service, workers dont know a dam thing, all they push for is the extra warrenty. will not pricematch and give the rebates. managers are a holes. geek squad is pretty lame, try harder best buy more

Editorial review from Insider Pages 2/1/2005

Always the best deals! And if you do find a better deal somewhere else, they will match that price for you! Always a delight to go into their stores, well lit and always fun. I can always find what I am looking for and know I can get it at a decent price or a great deal. more

Editorial review from Insider Pages 1/12/2005

Me and my husband bought our first digital camcorder here. Excellent service and we found a very big selection of camcorders. The really cool thing was that they are all out and hooked up so that you can use them and try them out to see which ones you actually like best. The salesman that helped me was very helpful, even though I felt like an idiot because I basiclly knew nothing about which brands are better or what exactly I was looking for. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of a couple different models I was looking at and we were very happy with our purchase. more
