NEED TO REDO FLOOR MANAGEMENT!! 3/16/2011

Very poor customer service! We recently purchased a 55" package deal, and took almost a month to complete the package. We spoke to managers (Julius, Alex) and both seemed to be lost with helping us. I made all the contact phone calls and phoned and them every 4th day to see if the problem could be solved. I DO NOT SUGGEST YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM THAT IS NOT INSTOCK. (EVEN THOUGH THEY COMMIT TO A DELIVERY DATE!) more

Totally frustrated! 12/7/2010

I purchased a camera for $399 cash I was not happy with it! The reason I was not happy is because it made my pictures all orange, I tested the camera against my friends who has the same one and the stores floor model, plus several hours of test printing and researching to make the camera work better and none of this corrected the orange problem. I even asked to exchange mine for the floor model based on the quality just looking at the screen. I just wanted to exchange it because it was defective. They would not do an even exchange for the same camera. So I decided to return it, by returning it I lost $60 for their restocking fee, then the worst part is that I payed cash and they would not give me cash back they made me wait for a check to be mailed to me. So...I will never shop at best buy again and if you do make sure you don't pay with cash, don't expect to exchange or return without somehow loosing something!!! more

poor overall service typed while waiting 4/25/2010

Horrible customer service as I am waiting I had time too look up this website register and write this review as I am waiting I walked around this section 3 times. No one approached to ask for help then when I asked about if I can get help, the attendant told me its going to be awhile. So I stood by the product I intended to buy. The attendant I had asked walked away then helped someone else looked at me and walked away I believe I have was passed up 5 times a supervisor training someone looked right passed me and kept walking.\r \r Update from within store Steven needs a promotion only one willing to help me throughout the whole process just to get MacBook pro 45 min more

Poor customer service 2/24/2010

This place has a great selection of products, however, the workers here don't like to help out the customer. I wanted to purchase a car stereo, but the worker refused to give me anything more than simple, mundane answers to my questions, so i knew he didn't really know much of the subject. The stereo I wanted was not available, so he stopped paying attention to me and just continued to go back to his station, no exaggeration. Some workers there try to serve the customer, but others simply just don't care. more

Lack of product knowledge 8/12/2009

The people that work here have no idea what they are talking about. I went into this store looking for a cable for my computer. I repeatedly asking several people where these cables were stocked and was told that there are no such cable in existance. I then found the exact cable I needed in the same aisle I was standing in. Finding someone to help you in this store is a joke. They either have 15 other customers waiting for them or they avoid you like you have the cooties. This place is a joke. more

I purchased a cordless phone that was bad out of box, called the store 10 times, let it ring for 5 minutes each time...no answer. Had to call corporate to get an answer to my question. I'm returning the phone and vow to never do business with them again. Trust me, don't waste your time or your money...find whatever products you need elsewhere, it'll save you a lot of stress and anger. more

I hate this store! No one answers the phone. No one seems to know that you are even in the store. I guess the hourly help have to work their tails off so the management looks good. I feel for the ones that do take pride in trying to help the customer. There is no "customer service" unless you can get in a word edge wise while they are talking about their weekends. Never will go back no matter how good the price is. more

Best Buy, best Electronic store in town!!! 2/7/2008

I have recently been a shopper at Circuit City, with the lack of respect and willingness to help I decided to try out Best Buy. Walking into Best Buy I found knowledgeable employees and employees willing to help me, unlike employees at Circuit City. I purchased a computer and the service I received was OUTSTANDING. Not only did I get a computer, that fit my needs I had Geek Squad to go along with it for all my troubles. Kirk (my salesman) was the best interaction I have ever had in retail. I will continue to shop here and I tell all my friends to come and shop as well. BEST BUY ROCKS. more

Awesome store 12/25/2007

One of the best stores for electronics. Everythiing os there for any tech guy that needs anything. If you need a replacement part fast and are too lazy to wait for an online store to have it you goto best buy to get it. The people are knowledgable if you ask them. (I dont ask them much) more

Three Great Employees - The Rest Can Go Home 12/20/2007

I spend approximately $3,000 each year at this mega store. I have found three great employees. I can recommend Orlando and Brianna. The rest of the blue shirts should stay home. They know little about their product and even less about customer service. The worst offenders are the people working in "Customer Service." I finally found one employee at their moon-shaped counter that was worth her salt. She was pregnant and running around the store to find an item I had purchased online. The folks back in shipping and receiving were to busy to help her. The complaints about management are well-founded. They are of little assistance unless directly approached. more

I dread going to Best Buy. While their merchandise inventory is huge, their service/management is deplorable. I tried to call first, no one answers the phone, on any extension, at any time. I have had to go to the television/DVD area twice and you pretty much try to get someone's attention, along with the four or five other customers lingering around. Both times I have gone, the employees in the department were hustling around trying to help customers, while the managers stood around playing/talking. Both times I have approached a manager to get service, and both times they helped me, but they give you the distinct impression that 'this is not in their job description'. It is as close as you will ever get to being invisible in public.\r I don't know if Circuit City treats their customers better, but will find out next purchase. more

I have called several times during normal office hours and get the automated directory... I push the number for whom I want to speak to and they never answer... it just rings and rings! Then, it goes back to the automated directory with the same message!!!!\r \r If I ran my business like this, I'd be left with ZERO customers! more

ID Theft 7/18/2007

I have been a victim of ID Theft that began at Best Buy in Bakersfield. Best Buy was not cautious enough to verify that all of the information provided to them for an application to obtain a credit card was incorrect. They should have detected signs such as my date of birth, Driver license number. Also how can my phone home number be one in Bakersfield when my home address is over six hours away, where we have a completely different area code? In conscience to them over looking these and other red flags, I now have two credit cards that where obtain through Best Buy and used for purchases that same day at this Bakersfield store totaling over $5,200.00 of flatulent activity under my name. I honestly think that all of this could have been prevented if the personal would have been more cautious. more

Best buy is an awesome store to buy anything from.. There products are top of the line. I love going there to look for stuff. The employees are always so friendly and the store is so neat and clean.If your looking for t.vs stereos i would reccomend going to best buys where they can assist you more

Best buy is an awesome home electronics store. They have the biggest supply and the best deals in town for electronics. I have purchased many things in here including a car stereo. I got a good deal. The employees always greet you the second you walk in the door and are always more than willing to help you when you need it. more

It was nice when Best Buy came to Bakersfield. There really was no other store like it in town. I was impressed at first, but sometimes I notice that they do not have the best prices in town. I like how the store is set up it is very easy to find a specific department, and it is always clean and organized well. more
