Bergfeld Recreation

We did alot of research on playsets before we decided on Bergfeld. Similarly priced sets we looked at were not as good of quality. The owner was very knowledgable and helped customize our set just how we liked it. The installation crew was prompt, efficient and they leveled the set perfectly in an area that was sloped and uneven. I would highly recommend. I am as thrilled as my kids are! more

Finally Received our play set... Installation was smooth, but we'll never do business with Bergfeld Recreation again, what a Circus Act! Scheduled an apt with one of the owners to come by our house and look at our yard. We wanted a fence, automated gate and play set. So, probably a pretty nice job for them $25,000 - $30,000. Stood me up on the apt, so I called another fence company and paid them the $20K. Recently we decided to give Bergfeld a second chance and get our play set from them. Play set installation date was pushed back twice and the play set showed up incomplete. When I called to voice my concern they really didn't care. The only positive thing I can say is that the gentleman that came to install the play set was great, although he is a contractor and not a Bergfeld employee. This company is very unorganized, no consideration for anyone's time and has no sense of customer service. If you can find what you're looking for somewhere else, I would strongly advise you to do so. more

I looked everywhere for a swing set that was worth buying, and they had the BEST prices around! The salesman seemed to know everything there is to know about swing sets. The sets were built better, with thicker wood and bigger bolts and it had a lifetime warranty.The Bergfeld crew that installed our set (for almost nothing) made it seem easy, but I know it would have taken us the whole weekend to do it. I suggest checking them out before buying a box of junk from a department store. I got more than I bargained for at Bergfeld, and I would recommend them to anyone! more

Just got our playset installed and couldn't be happier. It took about 2 1/2 weeks from the time we ordered to the time they installed it. The whole experience from designing it (Thank you Gary!) to having it installed has been a pleasure. The guys installing it were professional and polite and they even took the time to play hide & seek with my little boy when they were done. Highly recommended, great family company to do business with. Thanks again, Kyler loves his fort! more

We've been trying to get a swing set set up for our daughter since the end of March. As of today (2nd week of June) we only have half of it set up. Repeated calls and left messages do not get returned, and promises of "it'll only take a week" are not held up to. When we do get in touch with someone to talk to, they are polite, but I get the distinct feeling they have no idea what is going on. I don't think we are ever going to actually get to use this swing set. more

OK, we decided to buy one of the swingsets from Bergfeld for our daughter. She loves it, and they installed it for a very reasonable price. However when we signed the contract to buy the product the salesman gave us a price, and we paid if full. Then the owner calls a few days later and says no no, you owe like $200 more dollars. We argued it and argued it, but the guy pretty much said since we were only spending a few thousand of dollars, he couldn't let it slide unless we were buying one that was for $6000. How right is that? The guy told us a price, we paid for it, and had a signed contract. And they did a pretty good job installing it, except for the fact that they did not tightened any of the bolts, so everything was really loose. Luckily my husband fixed it before any of the kids got hurt. more
