GE Refrigerator Ice Maker Repair 11/10/2011

Found them in the Yellow Pages and looked them up on the Web. I emailed them and they called. The followed up with calls to me about my problem. The Tech, Lee, showed me the problem and gave me a better understanding of our refrigerator. I will use Benchmark again for any appliance issue we have in the future. Great people and process. more

Very pleased 10/29/2011

I have ordered and picked up parts at Benchmark's Parts Today for the last few years. I went in last weekend to pick up a part that I had ordered and talked to the owner, Mike, about a problem I was having with my gas cooktop. He suggested a service call and I was due for one. Lee came to my house a few days later within the time frame I was quoted. He was friendly. He checked my gas cooktop and we talked about the problem. He also checked my diswasher's lower rack and suggested a solution. Then he asked if anyone had showed me how to remove my wall oven doors for easier cleaning. I said no, and he promptly showed me. No one else had taken the time during the install. I thought the price was fair for a service call. I would recommend Lee and Benchmark's Parts Today. more

Awesome parts store! 10/6/2011

These guys are great!! After reading all of the bad reviews I was a little worried - but they are awesome. I called about a part for an archaic oven in my house - literally I think the thing is from the late 70's - they didn't have it in stock, but the part was there first thing in the morning! They were cheaper and faster than anywhere I looked online - seriously these are the people to know if you fix your own stuff. more

Service over and above! Wow! 2/8/2011

We ordered 4 dryer parts and there was a huge mess up with shipping from the warehouse in Oklahoma City. We only received one of the parts. The owner PERSONALLY came to our home to deliver the missing parts to our order. Wow! What great service. We are so excited to have our dryer working again. Thanks, Benchmark. Highly recommend to all. If a company is willing to go that far to take care of customers, I have no hesitation in recommending them to others. more

Prompt, Great Service 2/3/2011

I contacted Benchmark's Parts Today because my oven needed repair. I had checked several repair places on the web and read the reviews. I also contacted Jenn Air who recommended that I call Benchmark's Parts Today. The technician (Lee) called ahead to let me know he was on his way. When I originally called the oven door was locked so I only had the oven brochure which had 3 model numbers. Lee checked prior to coming out to make sure he had the parts that would support all models and failure codes. He quickly and efficiently determined what the issue was and replaced the part. Lee was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of my questions. I will definitely call Benchmark's Parts Today for any future appliance repairs. Thank you Lee and Benchmark! more

Great Service 12/16/2010

We recently contacted Benchmark's Parts Today for a washing machine repair (recommended by a Lowe's salesman). The technician called ahead to let us know he was on the way. He arrived right on time, diagnosed the problem and provided an estimate. We opted to have the repairs made and the technician started immediately. All repairs were completed promptly and at the price quoted. The owner even stopped by to make sure everything was going good. We were very pleased with the service, the fair price, and the friendliness and knowledge of both the tech and owner, Lee & Mike. Happy to recommend! more

Man! This crew is great! 12/6/2010

While booking my service call, the person at Benchmark at first grilled me about my appliance's problem. At first I didn't feel comfortable but I was assured it was done to make the technician's job more efficient. My service man, Lee, arrived the next morning & it was discovered that my 14 month old Whirlpool wall oven wasn't covered under any type of warranty and it needed some very expensive parts. Lee phoned his office and Scott there helped me with Whirlpool. Low and behold somehow Scott got Whirlpool to pay for it all and now it works great without the glitches it had. THANK YOU SCOTT, LEE, AND BENCHMARK !!!*** more

Very Helpful, Very Knowledgeable & Fairly Priced! 11/19/2010

I almost gave up hope of having my six year old Whirlpool refrigerator repaired after being told it couldn’t be fixed by one national company and was quoted the repair was too costly by another. Refusing to accept that news, I ventured to the local Home Depot store where those folks referred me to a guy whom they said can do it if no one else can! So I decided to try out this local parts dealer as suggested. The gentleman behind the counter, Mr. Mike, explained to me what could possibly be going on with my refrigerator. He offered to have his technician come out but I couldn’t afford another costly service call. Instead Mr. Mike directed me as to what to look for and guided me on how I could fix it. Thus my Saturday honey-do project began to gel together. Much to my astonishment along with assistance from my son, I was able to do the repair for a fraction of my second quote. My fridge isn’t dead and in fact it is much alive and even making ice again! Thank you Benchmark and Mr. Mike for your help! You were very knowledgeable, helpful and reasonably priced! You Guy's Rock 11/12/2010

I have used Benchmark's Parts Today for many years. The owner is the most knowledgeable repair man I know. He has diagnosed appliance problem over the phone and been correct every time. My father-in-law's frig stopped cooling and the sear repair man said it would cost $595 to repair it and suggested they buy a new frig. I told my father-in-law to call Benchmark. He explained everything to them and they repaired the frig the next day for $190.00. I am also a business owner and like Benchmark we try to make all of our customers happy. There are times that unfortunantely it doses not hapen . more

Whats the beef 11/6/2010

I am truely shocked by the negative reviews that are being left. It seems to me, since I have always received excellent service from Lee at Benchmark's Parts Today, that someone is just trying to "raise a stink". Lee is always prompt, professional, and commited to excellence. He has repaired several appliances for me, from Microwave, to Washer. In fact, Lee is such a find, that I followed him to Benchmark's Part Today because he has always delivered on all commitments. Each time the bill came in well under any competition. The appliance that was repaired lasted years after the repair, when other places had told me to trash it and just get a new one. Of course the other places wanted me to purchase through them. Lee, with Benchmark's Parts Today in Spring, has always delivered on the quality and professionalism promised, and gone above and beyond to be pleasant, and helpfull. Lee at Benchmark's Parts Today will continue to get my business. more

Avoid this place like the plaque ...unless you have money to throw out the window and if you do...well you may as well just do that and save yourself a whole lot of aggravation and frustration! This company doesn't seem to care about consumers...well theres actually several companies out there which have scammed me or a family member which I have vowed to make sure as many people become aware of their business practices as possible. Especially in todays economy it is important to support local small businesses, however, what about those small businesses such as Benchmark (Maytag) that $teals and uses clients for profit ONLY?? This is a DISGRACE this is 1 reason the last of the local small businesses are no longer able to hold on!! people don't trust them to deal honestly with them!! I can tell you Benchmark is NOT honest and Fair in their dealings...if they were our family would not have had to hire an attorney to take them to court to get them to honor their contract!! HELLO!!?? more

Will be back 10/30/2010

What else can I say?... Unexpected dryer problems and a lot of laudry to do. Shop was open on Saturday to pick up part for a DIY repair. Dryer is back up and going. I spent less than I would have to purchase the part online with standard shipping. I am not one to post reviews... but my experience was more than pleasant and I always prefer to buy local. I will be back. more

wonderful service 10/16/2010

Was absolutely amazed on how fast they were able come and fix my washer when i called. The younger guy who I spoke to when I called was able to get me scheduled that same afternoon and thankfully they had the part with them to fix the machine so I could get my laundry done without having to wait several days for parts. The service technician was very nice as well. Definately will be calling these guys the next time I have a problem with anything in my home. more

Better B Bureau is a JOKE! 9/15/2009

–noun, plural thieves. a person who steals, esp. secretly or without open force; one guilty of theft or larceny. I've also tried to take my complaints to the BETTER B BUREAU - they are a huge joke. It seems as long as your paying the BBBureau they don't care that companies are dishonest in their dealings. I believe this company was a member of the BetterBusinessBureau before they sold out, now the new owner is dishonest and no one there even cares as long as they keep their dues $$$ coming! costly repair did nothing 8/16/2009

I had my maytag washer repaired by benchmark, after a huge bill the washer continued to be broken. The exact same problem. I called the other maytag company out and got it fix for less than 1/2 $ of what benchmark stole from me. more
