If you are anywhere near this salon RUN don't walk as far away as you can from it! I received the worst haircut and color from a know it all guy named Dimitre. He went all Edward Scizzor Hands on my head! He had his own vision of what he wanted to do but it wasn't my vision. He had never met me before. I could go on and on it was just awful! The haircut and color was very pricey as well! The shop is not in Manhattan! There are plenty of other salons in this town to choose from. Stay away! more

This salon is ok. Nothing special. It is nicely decorated, if that's what you are looking for in a salon. I found it EXTREMELY overpriced for their services, and would not go back for another mediocre experience. more

I fell in love with my hair again ever since I have tried the new shampoo and conditioner that Dimitry the owner have offered me to try to take out the oily and frizzy look off of my natural curly hair. It was gone from the first try!!!I've been using Pantene ProV for more than 15 years and now I can toss it out to the garbage. I can finally put my fingers through my curly, silky hair just like through the straight ones. And now I'm looking forward to my first appointment to get my highlights done on my natural, curly, silky long hair. Thank you so much Dimitry!!! more

When i first drove up to the parking lot of Bellissima, i noticed the parking was acssesible considering it was a friday afternoon and the local resturants were busy. When i went inside the receptionist gretted me in timley mannor, and the staff was happy. first off i was shampoed by a lovely girl. then i was brought to a hansome young man Dimitry. We had a fifteen minute consultaion about what i was looking to achive in my long term color and cut results. I had a wondeful experince as i noticed there was alot of specials going on. I am looking forward to my next appointment. Bellissima is the next best thing in long island hair. i would recommend visiting it. more

I am an Italian girl and I live in New York City. I found Bellissima Hair Salon while shopping at Rockville Centre. I walked in the salon just for curiosity and I was so glad I did. I was changing from salon to salon trying to find my identity but the result was always the same: FRUSTRATION! Now that I found the image that I want to have, I will never ever change salon again!I - Everything is done to perfection at this salon, hair color, haircut, hair styles, and something that probably nobody talks about, THE HAIR WASH by Kenia, probably the best hair wash that I ever had in my life!, I will call it cranial-therapy-shampoo, because while cleaning my scalp, they go deep massaging the top of my head, my neck, and even my forehead, it is unbelievably relaxing! And the most notorious is that there is no additional charge, it is included in the price of all services, even when I go there for a simple hair style. To tell you the truth, sometimes I go to have the hair styled just because I want to have the cranial massage that comes complimentary with the shampoo!!! LOL? People ask me in the street to which hair salon I go, and when I said Bellissima, they think it is very expensive; it is not true, they are very affordable and compared for the top quality job, they are even less priced than the other top salons in the New York City area? I only pay $55 for my hair color which is very fair, and when I get highlights every three months, it cost me an additional $$, but not just the hair color is good by Charlene... Dimitry cuts are amazing too!!!!! more

It took me many years of going from salon to salon trying to find someone who could cut my hair the way I wanted them to! Many stylists have tried but no one took the time to listen to my concerns. One of my friends recommended Jeany from Bellisima. She sat down with me and we talked about the type of hair that I had and what would look best on me. She not only gave me a GREAT cut but she also did a GREAT up do. In my opinion she is the best that Bellissima has to offer! Pros: N/A Cons: N/A more

Honesty is the best policy and with that said i walked in and was put with a color specialist who did very well in her consultation. application was perfect .. until we came to the point where she was about to apply the BRIGHT red on my highlights, now as a hairdresser i had to put my two cents in and say "" you are going to fill before you put the color on right"" basic goldwell knowledge! especially with dealing with lifters and reds, so not only do that lock the color in but in rich the intensity of the red.. I have been going to Bellissima salon since it opened and have been happy with the service from the start. Charline is the best. I have recieved many compliments about my hair color and highlights. The staff always make me feel welcome. With the relaxed atmosphere and top of the line service I recommend this salon to anyone. Keep up the great job Bellissima!!!!! more

Highly recommend Bellissima hair solon to anyone who wants perfect hair from hair cuts to the brazillian treatment they are GREAT! They're attention is amazing, you get greeted well the minute you walk in that door. I have to say they are incredible when it comes to style your hair and their price are affordable. I am in RVC New York for the summer and desperately needed a haircut. I asked my friends for recommendations because I know hair places can be heit or miss and I wanted to avoid a miss if possible. My friend Heather who has gorgeous hair recommended Bellissima and particularly Dmitri. I didn't want to spend a crazy amount for a haircut but I am a city girl so I know that haircuts are expensive. But anyway, I called and made an appointment with Dmitri and I am soooo glad that I did. I love my hair! So I went in with my decrepid hair and told Dmitri that my bangs were a failure and not at all what I wanted and asked him to fix them. So he told me that the issue is that not enough of my hair was bangs and that if I trusted him he could fix them and give my hair some cool angles. It is so great! He made my hair asymetrical which I have to get used to but I think looks really awesome. The best part is just how perfect my bangs are now. I kept getting my haircut and hoping the hairdresser would improve on my bangs but I couldn't put into words what was wrong with them. Now I love them and totally see the issue. I posted a pictures of my hair to the pictures of Bellissima Hair Salon so you can see what it looks like (I am no creative writer...). It's a little weird to have to put on a robe and that they want you to take off your shirt (at least I got that impression but no one really explained it to me). They put a drape over you so it's not that the robe is supposed to act as that cover...it just confused me. The hair washing is also a bit weird because they massage your head for a while and it seems pointless. Dmitri cut my hair only with a razor and ceasers he took his sweet time. He built in so many little angles and then dried it and cut it some more. It is exactly what I wanted...at least I think it is. Either way, Dmitri is meticulous, nice, and good at his art. more

I have been getting my hair cut and colored at Bellissima Hair Salon for more than one year. They are an upscale salon and their prices reflect that. On the plus side, they frequently send out mails to their customers about discounts (like 2 for 1 cuts) and they have tons of stylists in the under $100 range. Neilonie does my color and highlights and it always looks amazing. During my first visit with Neilonie she explained that my old blonde highlights from another salon weren't working for me and she replaced them with these reddish highlights that are such an improvement. I'm so happy with my new color and highlights. Her services aren't cheap so I don't get to fix my color as frequently as I would like, but I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for hair color and/or highlights find two or three hours in their schedule and make an appointment with Neilonie. more

This year I decided to get a pretty drastic haircut. My hair has never fallen above my chest. So when I decided that I wanted my hair cut short, I knew I had to go to someone who would do the job WELL. This is where Dimitri and Charline comes in. First of all, I got totally lost since I'm new to the city. I ran to the salon huffing and puffing and the first thing he said to me was, ""Never run here again!"" I apologized for being late, but he handled it like it was no big deal :) So we were off to a great start. He then asked if I was sure about getting such a big change. I told him I wanted to donate my hair so he carefully tied it up, cut these piece off, and gave them to me to send to Locks of Love. Dimitri did such a fantastic job. He gave me an AMAZING bob and he was so nice. I don't have to do anything to style it. Just wash and go. All in all, I paid $75 for a $65 haircut. COMPLETELY worth it. Thanks so much for making my first ""extreme"" cut a wonderful experience for me :) I walked away with: 1) a lot more self-confidence 2) a very stylish yet low-maintenance cut 3) styling tips (should I decide to style it) 4) hair product recommendations for my specific hair type 5) good conversation about life on the West coast, and 6) an invitation to feel free to call or come in if I'm not happy w/ the cut or color more

Dimitri is really great; the consultation was very, very good...I am very satisfied with how my hair turned out. He made suggestions about my style while still considering my preferences. Everyone at the salon was really friendly; I had my four-month-old in tow and they were totally cool. The price was very reasonable for an hour-long job. more

I've been getting my hair cut and color by Dimitri and Charlen for the year that I've lived in RVC which equates to twice. That's because the cut and color last forever! It's been since January and I went in today to get my free bangtrim with Dimitri and he gave me new bangs and freshened up the whole 'do just because he's awesome! & my whole cut and color looks brand new. I love that I can come in and just let Dimitri do whatever and I know it's going to look amazing. Other pluses: The shop is cute as hell, everyone is friendly & cool, and they keep traditional and non-traditional hours so you can always find an appointment! I'll never go anywhere else.
