Stay away from Greg Penta, doing business as Bell Rock Movers. They cheated me and padded the bill at every turn, thinking they had me over a barrel. Greg's wife made a reservation for 3 men on the truck, supposedly at a discount. 2 men showed & told me there never are 3 men on a move! The 'move boss' wanted to charge me a higher rate per man. Greg Penta, the owner, was conveniently unreachable by phone all morning. \r \r The men were slow, not physically fit, and complained the whole time. They intended to milk the job. It became a game of trying to limit the rip-off. Wanted to charge $25 per item to blanket wrap and then cellophane wrap furniture! Tried to charge extra for items they called 'appliances.' Had the nerve to demand a tip afterwards, telling us 15% was the standard Massachusetts gratuity. Yeah, for waiters making restaurant minimum wages. The only thing that saved us was that we still had a few days on the lease. I stopped the job half-way through.\r \r I later hired 2 guys with a van - they were faster, cheaper, and better in all respects. After the move, Bell Rock Movers wouldn't answer the phone when I called. So Buyer Beware - stay away from Greg Penta, doing business as (DBA) Bell Rock Movers in Malden and Medford, Mass. Pros: They showed up. Late, but they showed up. Did move furniture. Minimal damage. Cons: Over-charged and cheated. Couldn't complete the job. Took twice as long as it should. more

The Worst and most unprofessional company i have ever dealt with. Beware the company on the first phone call sounds wonderful price is right...then you ring to confirm price it has gone up $50 ok still a good price...but wait they arrive with your furniture. Owner Greg Penta this furniture is really heavy (i said i know that's why i called you) ok that means i have to charge you more now, but wait i needed three guys so that's even more money so now its an extra $150...... FOR WHAT!! Can you say padding the bill! If you like dealing with dishonest, disrespectful people then this is your company...I thought Greg was bad until i spoke to Lisa together these to are match made in MOVERS HELL. MOVER BEWARE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....!!! more

They completely ruined two fine quality pieces of furniture. Greg Penta, the owner, said he would be back over to fix the damage on two seperate occasions and did not show. Not even a courtesey call. His office assistant (Lisa) is extremely rude. When told of what happened she hanged up on me. I was calm and collected until this point. Greg Penta lives at 685 Broadway, Trailer 11, Malden Ma. DO NOT USE THEM. They Moved my boyfriend and I into a new apartment last weekend. They got greese on my couch and refused to get it out. Greg the owner does snot know how to run a buisness. He sprayed windex on my couch to try and get grease out. He said he would come get it out the next day and never showed up then wehen I called to speak with him he had no excuse and said he will come that night....Once again he never showed up. The ruined SO much of our things....I am bring them to court. They are scum bags. DO NOT Use them. The owner Greg's finace got on the phone and said that they are not getting my couches cleaned ""they are older then god"" she yelled (they are only two years old)! I want this company to go out of buisness and I am going to do ANYTHING in my power to shut them down. They are MEAN, UNPOFESSIONAL and DO NOT know how to move or run a so called company. I hired Bell Rock Movers to make my move less stressful. Boy was I mistaken. The movers showed up 4-5 hours late - there was to be 3 working movers but one of the guys was hurt and talked on the phone the entire time and didnt' do a thing. The one person doing the majority of the work was exhausted and asked if they could deliver my things in the morning - I needed my refrigerator, as I had food waiting at the new apt - so they agreed to deliver the fridge and the remaining things in the morning. They destroyed the door of my refrigerator and dented the outside - I had to get a repairman to fix it. They were to show up at 8:00 the next morning but didn't show until 11:30. They used not straps or blankets to protect my furniture - they put a deep gouge in my antique dining room table - they didn't put it together completely or properly (another expense to have repaired). They broke the doorknob off of my china closet. I am missing my antique sewing kit (they thought it was a butter churn) and made comment of it. My landlord helped them bring in my daughter's box spring. They told me I would get a discount for the inconvenience and offered to take $30 off of the bill. Sat took them 4 hours - Sunday took them an 1-1/2 to unload (they had 4 guys working). - the entire job should have only taken them 5 hours tops - it took them 8 hours.\r I told them they would have to hoist the bed in - they did not tell me it would be an additional fee, I told them I had the refrigerator - another additional fee they did not tell me about; and they did not tell me about a fee for travel time. The owner had me write my check out to him personnally and not to the company. \r \r If you want peace of mind during your move - stay away from Bell Rock. I hired Bell Rock Movers of Malden, MA to move a three room apartment. They showed up on time and quickly got to work. The worked quickly and efficently without damaging any of the furniture, walls or doorways. A number of the pieces had glass panes and not one was broken or scratched.If they had a question they asked and didn't just assume where a piece of furniture was supposed to be placed. We had a problem fitting the couch through the doorway of the new apartment but they quickly worked out a solution. If I ever have to move again, and I hope I never have to move again, I will definately call Bell movers. Pros: Worked quickly, no damage, Good attitude more
