Bel - Aire Veterinary Hospital

In the annual visit, there were a couple of nails clipped in the visit of which no mention was made that a charge would be in addition to the normal annual visit. It took all of 1 minute to clips these few nails. A charge was assessed of $16 to clip a few nails. Factor that out into an hourly rate and Bel-Aire Vet charges $960 PER HOUR to clip nails on your animals. Not happy with attitude or Dr. Packard and the staff as they seem to try and nickel and dime you with outrageous charges. more

I've been going to them since the early 1990s, and I have never, ever had an unsatisfactory experience. Through everything from routine exams to emergencies to pet deaths, they've been the only people that I consistently trust my pets with. They're way out of my area, but it doesn't matter at all, as they are truly fantastic. I've been able to call and get answers to questions I have, I've been able to book appointments quickly, and I've been 100% satisfied with the way in which they've treated my pets, and my family. I've referred tons of family and friends there as well, due to the amazing (and unageing) Dr. Packard. more

Dr. Packard and her staff are EXCEPTIONAL! They have offered professional care for my 5 animals ever since I moved to Oak Ridge 8 years ago. I have never had a vet who cared so much for my animals well-being or who took so much time to explain things to me. My animals love coming to the vet and that says alot to me. They have been cared for, boarded, had surgery and groomed here. I hope Dr. Packard is around for as long as I have pets. When my beloved Gizmo passed away, Dr. Packard went above and beyond what I would ever dream of to send her sympathies to us. She even donated to a local rescue organization in his memory. She has worked with us in so many ways to make sure our pets were given the care they needed. I am proud that my dogs have Dr. Packard and their staff looking after them. more

I am sad to give this Veterinary hospital but a 2 star rating, as there was a time 5 years ago when they cared for our very ill dog and made his final months comfortable ones. However, as the Oak Ridge and Greensboro populations grew, so did Bel Aire. It seems that they care less for the animals and their owners now. The receptionist and vets all seem more rushed and disinterested. We recently brought our puppy there with an animal bite and they asked to keep him there for the day so he could be looked at and treated. So, we left him in their hands. Hours passed and we had not heard from them, so we called for an update. Our puppy had not even been looked at by a vet tech, yet...let alone a vet him/herself. We worried the bite was infected, and that each hour was causing more problems. We expressed this fear to the receptionist who was short with us. We allowed our dog to be treated for his bite, and have since move to a new vet. 5 years ago, I would have recommended Bel more
