What a clean and wonderful as well as fantastic rehab dept. this center has. I have been attending the PT rehab dept. here at this place now for 2+ months as an *out patient* for my shoulder surgery i had and i must say that my physical therapist Ivan is Da Bomb. He is an assist to this facility 100% and truly knows his craft, his profession and his stuff when it comes to the knowledge of the human body. The cafeteria is also avail. for out patients to dine in at, there is a small fee of course which i am not crazy about, but i find it fulfilling to sit with a few of the in patients at a table while enjoying a complete and good lunch right before my standing appointments twice a week at 1 pm. I highly recommend this Physical Therapy Dept. for any physical rehab needs and even as an out patient. Also, everyone in that dept. is friendly and pleasant to be around. Take it from me and my experience, it is well worth the chance to try them if you are in need of a professional to help you get back to normal. more

the place is clean and neat but the service is slow, and some of the nurses are nasty; however, I believe most of these places are second rate more

Business hours? 1/6/2012

Although this facility is on probation by the State of Florida, It makes me wonder how they ever keep their doors open. When called shortly after 4pm, no one at the facility had a clue as to what their business office hours are. Not even the Charge Nurse. And furthermore, I was told that the people in charge of billing as well as the administrator come and go as they please and do not keep strict hours. Go figure!?! We continue to receive a bill for an account that they have already acknowledged is paid in full. The only bright spot in the place is their physical rehab department and God help them if that one guy leaves... more

Tellin' it like it is. 8/17/2011

Okay let's be honest. Really, I know personally both Makayla and Alice. First off, if we are going to write reviews on this place lets be honest about it. We are talking about other peoples lives here. Alice honey, you work there. Your husband is there, yeah and care for him takes about 2-3 CNA's. Plus, If you don't write something positive, and they stop getting patients, you're going to be out of a job. The B-Wing Unit Manager really is a piece of work. Would I put my mother there? No, absolutely not. Would I put my dog in that place? No, absolutely not. I am a former employee from here, and I guess you want to know about how they treat patients, well..CNA's are the ones who answer all the lights. Nurses don't do much of anything, they're pill pushers. "Operation Speedy for the needy" only applies to the CNA's. CNA's are left to do showers, as well as care for 8-12 patients, so how are they supposed to answer lights as well? The Administrator, DON and ADON have no idea what's going more

My husband has been a patient at this nursing home for almost 3 years. He has always been treated with the utmost respect and kindness. The patients at this nursing home are always well dressed, clean and well fed. Activities are provided with individual needs in mind. His doctor visits every week and is always available for emergency care. It is a shame that one disgruntled employee can give a facility a bad name. I have highly recommended this nursing home to other and will continue to do so. more

This place is an outright disaster. STAY AWAY. 3/28/2011

My dad was transferred to the facility on February 22nd following spinal surgery. During his time there, he developed a stage 4 bedsore, 2 UTIs, MRSA and became severely dehydrated and septic. If he wasn't transferred to the nearby hospital, he would have died. No one made sure he was turned over the requisite amount of times, or that he drank enough fluids. He is a diabetic with limited use of his limbs, and they treated him like a fully self-sufficient individual. The house doctor who was on his ledger only spoke to us once, and drugged him up on Oxycodone, Percoset, Valium and Dilordid! No one listens at this place, and few care. They will try to justify their treatment of their patients, too. This place is a disaster. DO NOT USE THEM. A man who's there for rehab should NOT be on death's doorstep after a month! more

finally getting help 3/22/2011

This is an update to a past review. My husband was in Bayonet Pointe Health and Rehab Center for about a month. He went in there with a slight sore on his buttock. After a 3 week period his Stage 1 bedsore developed into a Stage 4 cepsis bedsore. In addition he became severely dehydrated because of the fact the staff either didnt care or wasnt aware of his limited movement to reach fluids. He was supposed to be turned every 2 hours to avoid more damage to his bedsore and wasnt. Any time we went to visit him he was on his back asleep or in a wheelchair asleep IN the dark I might add. Fortunately he was placed into the hopsital since they finally realized they couldnt handle the problems. He nearly died from neglect. I have also heard that this facility had been closed at one time for neglect. The place is very nice looking and clean...but what good is it if the patient doesnt get the care they need? more

long term care 2/13/2011

as a person who worked there i have to say the unit manger on b wing treats and talks to all her aid like they are scum and she the best thing in the world and she told me one day that all the stress is taken a toll on her. now the lpns and cnas are wonderful but if u need to talk to a person about ur loved ones theres i do not recoomend b wing unit manger i think they be best to fire her and i have to say 3-11 is short handed cause she fires everyone or they quit cause of the way she treats them i nurse quit cause of the way she treats her aids and i can say she sucks as a nurse she a rn and she dose nothing but sit in her office or on the phone she dose not offer a helping hand no matter how much we need it she just walks around telling us to move fastrer never tells anyone how great there doing or anything so please just think twice more

do not go here 5/2/2010

My grandfather became ill and went to Bayonet Point Rehab. they put him in a room with another man who kicked him (he was a resident there for a year and a half so I doubt this was the first incident with him) Then moved him to another room where the night nurses were very rude to him and he also got the flu. Then his hearing aid was no where to be found-I would never send him back there again!! I also feel sorry for the people in there who don't have family members looking after them more

I would not say that Bayonet Point Health and Rehab would be my first choice. Especially after their State Survey this past year (2009). The L tag that they received leads me to believe that there must be better Skilled Nursing Facilities's in the area. They have lost their Medicare funding and wont be a provider of Medicare through March of 2010.\r \r If you are looking for Therapy, check elswhere. more

Bayonet Point Health & Rehab is worth recommending. 10/20/2009

I went to the facility for a walk thru prior to my mom being released from the hospital. The staff was very welcoming and took me on an extensive tour. The facility is well kept, great physical therapy room. My mom was very satisfied with her time at the facility. more

I may be a dietary aide but..... 3/5/2009

The review posted at the top of this page is wrong. I work at bayonet point health and rehab. I may be a dietary aide but i see amazing things everyday i am there the employees are all dedicated and the doctor does his job from what i hear, he does it very well. you have to know that not all nursing homes have an assigned doc. We do. Make bayonet point your choice for acute rehabilitation and nursing services. Another fact is that we are the largest rehab and health home in Pasco county. more

Business Response 1/23/2009

The review listed above by Jackson Chapel does not appear to be related to any patient admitted to Bayonet Point Health & Rehabilitation Center. We have no record of anyone named Chapel. The one patient we did have named Jackson did not have any children. We feel this may be a mistake and not reflective of our center. more

They really help you. 10/5/2005

This is a great place to get the rehab you need. They work one on one with you, and really explain everything. The therapists are kind and considerate, and really take their time with the elderly. I can truly recommend this establishment for getting the job done, and coming home feeling that I can do anything now. PROS: It works. CONS: Can get costly with no insurance. more
