Best

I have naturally curly hair and it's so hard to find a haircutter who can cut it and keep the natural wave. Aleeza is a miracle worker! She gives the best cuts that last for mon...

Worst

So... you'd think if you got a haircut off of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, you'd walk out feeling and looking like the million bucks that the area smells of. Yeah... no. Maybe...

A great hair cut for a man in a great place 2/7/2010

Getting a good hair cut for a man especially for those of us who start to have thinning hair is almost impossible. The experience I have had at Batia and Aleeza beauty salon in Beverly Hills was unique. First this is the warmest and friendliest salon I have ever been to. You immediately feels like a part of a family. Batia and Aleeza love people and it shows and seems that the customers love them. The staff without an exception is warm and inviting. Batia took her time and gave me the most detailed haircut I have ever had. She really cares and takes pride of her work. It almost looked like I had more hair after the haircut. She is a people person and puts you at ease, and at the end of the haircut I felt like knowing her and her stuff for a long time. Pros: Best hair cut I have had more

great staff... terrible owner 11/30/2009

So... you'd think if you got a haircut off of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, you'd walk out feeling and looking like the million bucks that the area smells of. Yeah... no. Maybe not. The salon is owned by a woman, who I believe needs to throw in the towel. After 40 years of cutting, maybe it's time to retire. Batia, if you're reading this, I hope you consider this. After waiting 2 hours, to receive a 5 minute cut, which wasn't worth the over $100 bill that followed, was really disheartening. I was casted on the sidelines, as other more, 'prosperous' looking customers were treated ahead of me. This seems to be a salon where it may have, once upon a time, been an establishment fueled in its integrity, passion and true customer care, and has since developed an overconfidence which has put its customer care on the backburner and instead has become an assembly line of 'more people, more money, in less time'. It's very sad because the staff are amazing, who should step out of being employees and perhaps go into business themselves and tell their boss to f*ck herself. 2 Star Rating... 1 star to the girl who washed my hair, the other star for the guy behind the desk- you guys need to get the hell out of that place, you're too good. Pros: friendly staff Cons: owner needs to throw in the towel more

Best salon in the Universe for curly locks!! 8/29/2008

Batia made my hair do things that I never thought were possible! I am African American with curly thick hair. Batia gave me a personal consultation, the perfect cut and more great ideas on styling my hair daily. I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon this classy yet fun and friendly Beverly Hills Salon. I recommend that anyone struggling with curly hair set an appointment with Batia. She will definitely help you to find the natural beauty in your hair. The hair products have been miracles for my hair and have also improved the texture and ease in styling. I will Live by these products daily. Thank You Batia!!! Pros: A beautiful ambience with a knowledgable and friendly staff! more

The Holy Grail for Curly Hair! 8/9/2008

Batia gave me the haircut I had been seeking my entire life. Pros: Classy but casual salon with great energy, everyone was eager to please. Cons: Absolutely none. more

Best haircut and style 7/10/2008

I walked into the salon with long, thick, wavy/frizzy, shapeless hair that had a few layers. I walked out with long layered curls that actually had a shape. They get it for those of you with crazy hair. The other stylists I have gone to in the past were too scared to get in there with the scissors or if they did they made a mess and I wound up with what looked like 2 different haircuts. Batia took her time during the cut to see how my hair fell. The products are also fabulous and the gel is a must before diffusing. Pros: great stylist and great products more

Did not meet my expectations 3/6/2008

I like their product line and was really hoping that this experience would be a good one. My appointment was with Batia who cut my hair and convinced me to color my roots although I was not planning on it. She quoted a price for cut and color which I agreed to. She colored my hair a much darker color then I wanted she also covered over my highlights which I asked her not to do. Pros: Line of hair care products is very good Cons: pushy, do not listen to customers, dismissive, not worth the money more

Marco is a tweezing maverick... 10/15/2007

I have tried many, many threaders and before Marco I was never satisfied. Marco offers top of the line service. He is an absolute perfectionist, a consummate eyebrow artist. If you need someone to sculp not scalp, then he is the guy for you. I have seen Marco arch the straightest brows and fix the most impossible mistakes. I have recommended him to my closest friends and they have all come away with fantastic results. Highly, highly recommended. Pros: Marco is the greatest eyebrow threader...make up artist...professional Cons: He(Marco) is in high demand...good luck getting an appointment. more

The BEST Threading 10/10/2007

Batia & Aleeza have the best threader named Marco more

Threading is the new black! 10/6/2007

This was my first experience with this particular technique. And experiencing it with Marco was phenomenal. He is brilliant! I?m typically a waxer, I have been for years. I had planned on visiting a certain someone famous for waxing in Beverly Hills however a friend of mine highly recommended Marco. She said to give him a try and if it came out bad she?d pay for my visit to the waxing solon. So I gave it a shot. I made my appointment and got right in. Marco has amazing client service his kind and welcoming demeanor made the new experience all the better. I sat back and let the genus go to work. When it was all over I couldn?t believe my eyes i was speechless my brows were beautiful, the best they have ever looked. I appeared younger and more alive. I don?t know what I was doing before I discovered him. I?m glad I listened to my friend, I found a treasure, and he charged half of what I would have paid at the other place. I will never wax again. more

BEST EYEBROW THREADING ARTIST IN THE WORLD! 10/6/2007

I live in New York and often visit LA to see my family. I was introduced to Marco ,""The best threading artist in the world"" by a cousin of mine. Her and I agree that Marco can transform your face with his impecable technique. I've been to many shops in New York and LA and haven't found anyone better. He's truly superior. Once you've had the Marco experience, you'll never go back to anybody else. more

Also good at cutting hair 7/22/2007

These stylists are also good at cutting hair. If you want something beautiful, yet conservative, go to Batia. She excels at this. If you want something super modern, go to Aleeza. She seems to know what the next ""in"" look is even before anyone else does. Pros: Clearly know what they are doing and clearly love doing it. Cons: Not all of their staff is as talented. more

EXCEPTIONAL EYEBROW THREADING ARTIST!!! 7/17/2007

For those of you who do not know what ""threading"" is, you must go and find your way to Marco at this salon. Marco has recently joined Batia and Aleeza and I have personally followed him to every new venue. He does increbile, and magnificent shaping of your eyebrows with thread, I know, you have to try this!! He has a supernatural way of perfecting his art. He desires the best for his client and you will be amazed with your new look, just by the way he shapes your brows. I also have full face threading, and the years I used to wax, I must tell you this causes no pain, and inflicts no harm to your skin. I think over time that the pulling of the skin can be very harmful. Marco is very sweet and charming, and you will be awaiting your next visit. He also does fantastic makeup for those special occasions. You will not be disappointed! more

Great Salon... Wonderful Experience! 4/17/2006

After being on the lookout for several months, I do believe that I have finally found the one I love this salon! Batia and Aleeza seem to be a very fun pair and the entire staff was extremely friendly, stylish and attentive. Batia really listened to what I was looking for and offered her expert advise. The results were fabulous! The most surprising part of this visit; Its the first time that I have actually looked GREAT when leaving the salon. Like many curly heads out there, although I was blessed with gorgeous hair, it has taken a lifetime to learn exactly what styling regimes do and dont leave me looking like a frizzy mess. Even the best, most expensive hairdressers cant get my hair to look the way I can until today! Thank you to all the lovely ladies at this salon you will definitely be seeing me again! Pros: free parking, friendly, skilled more

DON'T GO!!! 12/21/2005

I found this salon using the internet; I wish I'd paid more attention to the bad review about having bright red hair! EXACTLY the same thing happened to me - I was supposed to be getting my subtle strawberry blonde hair touched up at the roots, and came out with PINK roots. This was after THREE attempts to get it right. Batia is certainly friendly - however, she is also dismissive and pushy (as were all the staff; one tried to sell me earrings!) She has no interest in listening to what YOU want, until you start having to complain about the hack job they are doing! At one point my hair was even bright orange. I paid $200 and was kept waiting for 30 mins before they even began. Just don't go! Cons: Pushy and dismissive more

real not pretentious salon friendly 12/5/2005

I have been to the best salons in LA and Ny and I had the best haircut here by. .Batia and beautiful blonde highlights by Aleeza. I look like I walked out of Vogue magazine. I also got my eyebrows waxed and tinted by a girl named Marie that used to work at Anastasia on Bedford. Shes amazing, quick, and I dont have to wait an hour. I highly recommend this salon. Pros: friendly good work, parking, cappucinos more

THE BEST 3/30/2005

BATIA you are the best, my hair newer looked better and the GEl its magical. Pros: Best hair cut, THE GEL, Very good atmocphere more

Spectacular 3/12/2003

I have always known about Batia & Aleeza, but was afraid to spend a lot of money to get my hair styled. I was about to finally give up trying to get my curly hair done right (in NY too, I've tried!) I went to Batia & Aleeza. Batia was so warm, and nice to me. She layered my hair, gave a few Henna highlights, loosened my curls with her gel and diffused them. The cut was spectacular. But now, I can still get the look she gave me in the salon, because I continue to use the gel! I feel so great about myself now! Pros: Expert styles, Friendly, Good Parking Cons: can get crowded, no real waiting area more

Flowers, Art and Hair 10/9/2002

I've never felt so calm and at ease than at Batia & Aleeza. They seemed to get overlooked by the media, which is better for US (the clients) because we get to get in faster and really get to know everyone there! Batia & Aleeza are truly inspiring. Lilit and Sable and Yanai and the whole crew really make you feel comfortable and give you the best look for your face, body and mind. Pros: Warm, Loving, Inspiring more

Our World needs more like them! 9/9/2002

I live in NY, but come to LA for work almost 10 times a year. I stopped going to my favorite salon in Beverly Hills, because they pushed their hair straigthening system on me too much. I found Batia & Aleeza on the internet from a ""curly hair"" search. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff, and a beautiful woman who was so kind to me. She didn't know, but knew me at the same time. As if we had always been friends. I felt instantly comfortable with her and her salon. And then she gave me a cut, style and treatment that matched ME. Aftwards, she didn't push anything on me, but gave me some coffee and a hug and wished me well. Our world needs more people like Batia and Aleeza. more

The Curls Girls 8/28/2002

Wow. These sisters are something else! I got my dull, aging hair dyed - to a warm reddish brown. Then Aleeza framed my face with the perfect style. And she applied some of her sculpting gel to my hair, and WOW my curls seemed to pop out of my head. I was so impressed with the whole experience and how they made my curls better looking, I've decided to call them the CURLS GIRLS! Pros: Friendly, Clean, Stylish more
