Bartow Animal Hospital

I was told to arrive at 10:30am for my dog to get an ultrasound on her heart. I arrived at 10:30 and called the number on the parking spot sign. it went straight to a call queue and after 5 minutes of waiting on hold I noticed that texting was also an option so I texted that I was in the parking spot and my dogs name. two minutes later I get a response text stating that they will be right out. 30 minutes later some one shows up to the car to get my dog. I had to drive 45 minutes to this particular office because my usual vet needed the expertise of the vet on staff for the ultrasound. I told the person who came to get my dog that I will do some errands and check back with you all because of the drive I do not want to head home and drive there again and back home that is way too much driving time. She said it usually doesn't take that long unless they have to sedate my dog. I sent a text message at 2pm if they could provide an update because after 3 hours I ran out of errands to do and I would not like to drive all the way home if my dog would be ready soon. They responded an hour later that my dog is ready. I was just down the road so I was there in 5 minutes and I texted that I was in the parking lot. They immediately ask for payment, my wife paid on the phone one minute later (an over priced charge for a simple ultrasound). 35 minutes later they come out with my dog; and while I'm waiting people who arrived after me had already gotten their pets and left. They were johnny on the spot to get their money and that was it. I will never go back there, if I have to see a specialist for something I will use another vet. This particular vet is in a network of vets that I usually see in Acworth, I used to think they were slow until I had the unfortunate experience of having to go to this office and they are by far the worst and slowest Vet I've ever been to. more

Terrible disinterested customer service. I'll never take my pet to this vet. more

I do not know how to do this i have a puppy in pain. and blood every where i just need help if you can call me at 770-548-4241 pizz i do not want to lost me puppy i am only 16 year old pizzzz help me :( more

Dr. Carl White is the best vet I have ever had. He is very caring and compassionate. He is always patient and friendly. I have used him for 15 years and he has cared for my animals as if they were his own. Would recommend him to anyone. more

I wouldn't recommend the groomer, Holly Smith anyone!!! She did a butcher job on my poodle. I have tried to using her several times and everytime I end up very unhappy with the grooming. I have to have my dog in there 1st thing in the morning and she is NEVER ready before 5 o'clock in the afternoon!!! I will continue to take my pet to see the vets @ Bartow but I will never take it back for grooming, the animal hospital should consider finding another groomer because I know I am not the only person unhappy with the grooming services. more

Have used Cartersville and Acworth...Acworth to busy to be efficient. Drive to Cartersville and have never been disappointed with care or service. Will continue to do so. You have my five stars. more

My sister and I have both taken numerous pets to Dr. Tripp over the last 25 years and we love him. He is very caring and compassionate even with the time restraints of his very busy practice. He is the best vet I have ever used and wouldn't take my animals to anyone else. more

Good: The shape of the ears after ear crop surgery.. Bad: Everything else. Dr. Tripp would hardly speak with us even though we had 6 puppies out of our litter of 10 taken there for ear cropping. His staff was rude and incompetent. All the invoices billed were different amounts even though the same exact procedure was done on all puppies.. Improvements: Hire people to work there that actually "like" what they do and train them on simple math. Dr. Tripp needs to be more concerned about his patients and give the owners of his patients the time of day. We are the reason he stays in business. If not, maybe he should try a different profession that doesn't require people contact.. Other: Will not return to this vet again. The fact that the office is so busy is surprising because we had a negative experience as well as the other people we had go there with their puppy. The only thing I can figure is that this vet is the only one in Cartersville and so residents have to go there if they don't want to drive far.. more

We had a five year old black lab that had surgery on his tail before the holidays. It didn’t go well the first time, so we had to re-admit him to have yet a 2nd surgery. We decided to keep him there during the holidays so that he could relax and get the proper attention he needed. An hour before we were supposed to pick him up, the vet called to inform us that he had passed in the night from "bloat." Dr. Tripp was extremely impersonal. I have never seen a place more interested in money and not animals. Not only was he impersonal, he was cold and non-sympathetic. When we pulled around back for our pick up of his body…..the vet didn’t even help to load him in our vehicle. He had two “thug-like” kids roll him out on a cart. I have never witnessed such a COLD-HEARTED place in my entire life. Our original vet in Columbus, GA loved Charlie. In fact, Charlie was talked to more than I ever was when we had vet visits. I would NEVER take one of my animals back to Bartow Animal Hospital. Now I know why people call it a “meat market.” Sadly, we had to find out the hard way. more

Dr Montgomery,Dr Trip,Dr Potts and staff are very helpful and most caring for the consern of the pet and client. I do recommend them to any pet owner. They will do whatever the clients wants with consideration to the pets dignity and health. They are as close to perfect ad you can get. more

Dr. Dwain Montgomery and associates are very caring vets and their prices are reasonable. The times that they had no answer I was quickly referred to a specialist and I appreciate that. more

I HAVE TAKEN MY 9 YR OLD JACK RUSSELL THERE SINCE SHE WAS 8 WKS. OLD. MY DOG IS MY LIFE AND SHE HAS BEEN GIVEN THE VERY BEST CARE. DR. TRIPP IS SUCH A GREAT VET....NO FLUFF....HONEST & TRUSTWORTHY. I WOULD NOT TAKE ANY PET OF MINE ANYWHERE ELSE...JUST BE PATIENT WHEN YOU CALL THERE......THERE'S A REASON THEY ARE SOOOOOOOO BUSY!!!! more

We have taken our dog there for a year. The Vet Docs are all great and know what they are doing. They are always busy there so calling sometimes can be hard to do. The prices are wonderful and Dr. Tripp is great! They do not push you into anything and are very sweet with our "baby". Our only concern are the kennels. We boarded there once but will not do it again..... I don't think we will board anywhere ever again. Nothing against Bartow Clinic, just not worth it to us. I can not say enough good things about the team they have at Bartow Animal! They are more than happy to take a look at your pet ( we were first time puppy parents.. the slightest thing wrong we brought him in!) I can count many occasions we were not charged for the visit! Not many places do that. more

The vets at the Bartow Animal Hospital are really great. We took our three cats and dog here at the recommendation of a neighbor and were very happy with their services, the treatment of our pets and their prices as well. We never had to wait long to be seen and even appointments with four animals went pretty quickly and smoothly. You can trust that your pets will be getting good care here. more
