Review content:
We had a five year old black lab that had surgery on his tail before the holidays. It didn’t go well the first time, so we had to re-admit him to have yet a 2nd surgery. We decided to keep him there during the holidays so that he could relax and get the proper attention he needed. An hour before we were supposed to pick him up, the vet called to inform us that he had passed in the night from "bloat." Dr. Tripp was extremely impersonal. I have never seen a place more interested in money and not animals. Not only was he impersonal, he was cold and non-sympathetic. When we pulled around back for our pick up of his body…..the vet didn’t even help to load him in our vehicle. He had two “thug-like” kids roll him out on a cart. I have never witnessed such a COLD-HEARTED place in my entire life. Our original vet in Columbus, GA loved Charlie. In fact, Charlie was talked to more than I ever was when we had vet visits. I would NEVER take one of my animals back to Bartow Animal Hospital. Now I know why people call it a “meat market.” Sadly, we had to find out the hard way.
