This is the worst moving company every. Not only were they 2 hours late to start ,,,they are sloppy and irresponsible . Things were lost, broken, and damaged in the move. Chris the owner has a bad attitude.. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! more

These guys did another great job for me. I had them move my house about 9 months ago and last week they moved my office and they did another outstanding job!!! This move was fast & efficient and most important it was stress free so thanks guys for a great job. I would also like to thank Chris in the office he was very professional and very helpful. more

I called Chris last minute to move items out of a storage into my new place. Changes were made many times. Every time he was easy to get a hold of and accommodated each of the changes I made. The men were careful and efficient. I have already recommended them to friend and they were equally as impressed. more

Last month we had Chris move us to Point Loma. It was my first move and I wasn't sure what to expect.Chris came to our place beforehand and gave us an estimate and went over the process with us. Before I moved I asked a few friends about moving and two of the three told me that they had used them and had a great experience. All I can say is that they took great care with my furniture and the were extremely kind and courteous. I will definetly refer them in the future. more

My fiance and I had a great experience on our move during a stressful time. Chris was very polite and friendly on the phone and he gave us a great price for our move. The guys got everything moved and in place so quickly I didn't even get a chance to help! I almost went with one of those ""starving college students"" places to save a buck, but I'm glad I didn't. The knowledge and professionalism of Bartle Brothers got us moved fast and made me confident I made the right choice. Plus, it didn't cost any more than the ""other guys"" had quoted! Great crew. In August 2009, my husband and I moved using the services of Bartle Brothers Moving, Inc. Choosing this company was a horrible mistake, and one I continue to regret. The carelessness of the moving team caused significant damage to many pieces of furniture. They ran over a dining room chair with the truck and then blamed us rather than accepting responsibility. They nicked, gouged, and scratched at least half of our belongings. The foot board from a bedroom set, along with all the hardware, is missing. They caused significant scratches on the walls of the house we were moving out of causing many areas to have to be repainted. The service recovery (or lack thereof) offered by the owner, Chris Bartle, did nothing to ease the situation. He did pick up the broken chair for repair; however it took almost a month to return it. Appointments were made for him to return it earlier only to have him “totally forget” about it, or reschedule because he was tired. We did finally get it back, although the wood putty was a completely different color than the chair’s finish, and there were still many gouges in the wood that were not addressed. He had shown an initial interest in looking at the other damaged furniture however when he was scheduled to drop off the “repaired” chair and look at the other damaged pieces; he left without alerting us he was on the doorstep. When I called to discuss this, he not only was adamant that the chair was beautiful and I had no idea what I was talking about, but he became extremely defensive about the entire situation. Overall, throughout the entire experience, he made it very clear that our damaged furniture and poor experience were not a priority to him. If you value your belongings, I strongly recommend that you do not use this company. Pros: Seemed nice at first. Cons: Half of my belongings are scratched and broken. more

Let's see, where to begin. When Tim and Steve arrived to help load my items on an ABF trailer, they appeared to know what they were doing.... I believe it was Tim who loaded the truck, and he mentioned placing the furniture on first to build a base to stack the boxes. Sounded great to us. Little did we know Tim didn't have A SINGLE CLUE how to properly load a truck. While unloading the truck... -- We found our 6-disc Onkyo cd changer wedged in BETWEEN our washer/dryer which were stacked on top of each other. The box was crushed. The cd player was packed in the original box and included the foam padding... neither of which could with stand the weight of the washer. -- We found a $250 Oppo brand dvd player wedged UNDER the sofa -- We provided blankets to use on the furniture --> we found one blanket wedged in between boxes... and another covering speakers. -- We provided extra plastic tarps to protect stuff like the sofa/mattress... not all of them were used. -- Tim placed a lightweight desk (that simply had four legs and was not a solid piece of wood furniture) upright, and then proceeded to place heavy items on the desk .... causing the legs to bow, and parts to break. (He should have flipped the desk upside down on a sturdier piece of furniture.) -- We had a glass front wood tv stand which we directed to be place UPRIGHT! -- it was on it's side, the glass is permanently etched, and pieces of wood are missing from the front side. -- And they loaded the solid wood bedroom set on LAST!!!! after stating it would go on first to provide a base to stack boxes. Virtually EVERY piece of furniture is scratched and at least two pieces of electronic equipment were ruined. I wish I'd never called or hired this company.
