Barry Kaimakis

Every time I've gone they're they've found a way to make me pay extra. All I ever wanted was the basic cleaning/evaluation which is 100% covered in my plan. Not once have I accomplished this. And they never explain this / ask you first if you want the more expensive procedure. It's just what you need. Don't get me wrong, the staff are all very nice people, good at their jobs, etc. Just a little too good at the job of relieving you with your money. Unless you're rich and have money to burn, I wouldn't go to this dentist. more

Dr. Kaimakis seems like a nice man. I was told my teeth cleaning would be covered by insurance but when I got there, they said it was a special cleaning that was not all covered so I decided not to have it done. The receptionist looked at me and said "when you finances turn around, come back and see us." That is a word-for-word quote. After explaining to her that what she said was quite rude, I told her to let the doctor know I wouldn't be coming back. She said "we figured that". I didn't bother teller her that I had planned to come back until she insulted me. I'd rather use a dentist who understands that I am the customer. I'd already spent thousands of dollars there, but no more. I'm sure I can find a dentist with a staff that treats me with respect. more

If your looking for a office that always runs on time this is the place. You are never seated late. The doctor is gentle, kind and quick. He is a guy who gets right to the point. His staff is great and friendly. I like how the staff is always smiling and greets me by my first name. They bill my insurance and do so in a timely manner. I really like that I know what my out of pocket expense is at the time of service. This is a great family practice. more

I have been going to Dr. Kaimakis for some time now and have always had a good experience. His staff is very friendly and his office is so efficient, I have never once had to wait in the lobby. He always explains all of the different treatment options for me and he lets me ask lots of questions without getting irritated or annoyed. I have recommended many friends and family members to him and will continue to do so. I hope this helps you choose a dentist! Pros: Very patient and kind dentist. Cons: I do not have one bad thing to say, there are no downfalls. more

Similar story... I went in for a cleaning and he said I needed two crowns. I also believed he was a professional and knew what was in my best interest. I went in for the prep work and he CUT MY TONGUE 3 times!! I could not eat or speak for exactly 7 days. I was taking regular pain relievers those days so I did not feel the pain of my prep work. Once my tongue healed enough to no longer require on the clock pain relievers I started getting EXCRUCIATING pain in my teeth. It actually wakes me up in the middle of the night. He is not a dentist he is a butcher. He does not spend much time with his patients to fully explian the procedure, or answer questions. For me it felt like he wanted me to get me out of his office as soon as possible. I will never go back to him, and I don't recommend anyone else to either. Turns out I could have gotten a filling instead. I think he was just making money off his client. more

I went to Dr. Barry Kaimakis 's office for a cleaning. When it's done, he told me that I should replace my old crown if I don't want to have any serious problems later. I took his advice...after all, he is a professional (I was naive, I know, I know). It cost me more than $1,000. But I thought it was worth to pay for my “future”. After the treatment, my gum was sensitive and sore especially when I had something cold/hot. One month passed and I was still in pain. What was worse, my pain became unbearable at last...I couldn't eat nor sleep any more. I had to go back to his office. After his hygienist took my X-ray, he smiled and guaranteed that my pain would be gone on that very same day. I was relieved and happy to hear it... until I found out his “solution” was just to send me to the endodontist for root canal. He just told me “Unfortunately, it often happens”, even though he never mentioned the risk of it before the treatment. Then I visited the endodontist to stop this excruciating pain (do I have any other choice?). Instead of root canal treatment, the endodontist adjusted my new crown (which Dr. Kaimakis replaced, needless to say) little bit and told me to come back if it didn’t work. Guess what? It worked! Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! My tooth was never sore or sensitive prior to Dr. Kaimakis’s procedure. I may or may not have serious problem later, like he freaked me out. But what makes difference to have horrible pain NOW instead of “LATER”?? I can’t trust Dr. Kaimakis and his clinical skills any more. I will change my dentist and NEVER visit his office again. Btw, his office is fancy and his staff are very friendly and helpful. more

I recently switched from Dr. Perry Jones to Dr. Kaimakis. Dr. Kaimakis is very nice and a great dentist. His office is conveniently located downtown and it is easy to get an appointment. His hygienists are very friendly and helpful as well. Overall, I have been very pleased with my visits. They also have a great new office. Dealing with insurance has been easy. I feel that Dr. Kaimakis and his staff are well informed and intelligent and I trust them. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kaimakis to my friends and family. more
