Caring, compassionate and great value! 10/23/2012

I have been bringing my 2 dogs here for a couple of years now and really have been impressed all around with the quality of care and compassion here. Their wellness plans have saved me a ton of money and most importantly they really care about my dogs! The female vet even gets down on the floor and examines them because they get nervous on the table. She always coos over them (even though they shed and slobber all over her) and is thorough. The assistants are also kind and the front desk always gets me in when I need- I'm kind of a worry wort pet parent and they just are accommodating. They never try to sell stuff I don't need either which is nice. I'd recommend them to anyone! more

Banfield pet Hospital 9/12/2011

I have three dogs and a cat and use the Banfield wellness plan as well as the banfield Latham and Clifton Park office. Everyone is always professional and helpful! I love the program and the discounted rates. My Jack Russell has excessive allergies and the staff at both locations are used to seeing us on a regular, my Pit Bull goes every 6 weeks to have her anal glands expressed. The cost for these services elsewhere are high! i appreciate both the convenience of the hospitals and the wellness plan! more

Wellness Plans 1/28/2011

Banfield is great and the dr's are very considerate and try to help out in any way possible. I see reviews complaining about the "insurance" banfield does not have insurance they have preventative care plans so people should take that into consideration that insurance is totally different before they start complaining. The brochure they give you about the wellness plans tell u everything that is included its right there in writing.I have always been happy going to Banfield and will continue to recommend them to everyone. I have saved a lot of money bygoing to them. more

I LOVE BANFIELD. 11/1/2010

I was shocked to read the couple of bad reviews about Banfield. I LOVE them. Unfortunately, you don't get to hear the good stuff all the time; only the unhappy take the time to spread their misery. Banfield was there when my dog, Jax, needed surgery. They understood that my pet was my family, and didn't toss words at me like "well, you have a financial decision to make" when it came to my pet's life. Each and every one of the staff members were professional and were happy to see my dog each time we came by, and they worked with me on surgery costs, medicines, and special diets Jax required. I recommend them to everyone I know and I always will. more

Great improvements 5/16/2010

I have to say I really like the new staff they have there. I called on a Saturday to see if my dog needed any shots. The person on the phone was very nice and said that yes she did need some. I asked if I could take her in that same day and she said yes. I took my dog in when they said to take her in and they saw her pretty much right away. The girl at the desk was very friendly and acted like she liked her job. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised with the improvement. I am happy that I have the Banfield Wellness Plan, I have saved thousands of dollars. more

DO NOT GO TO BANFIELD 6/13/2009

When your cat is ill and old and you are facing a decision about euthanasia, I strongly recommend you DO NOT GO TO BANFIELD. They ABUSE high cost technology and exploit the attachment and grief of the owner. They will recommend high cost technology without consideration for quality of life of the pet or resources of the owner. Presenting symptoms and history are not considered against what the pet will go through with the testing and whether the testing will add any benefit other than validating the vet's opinion. Even when the test information will add very little value to the decision making for care, they will recommend it. They will not only recommend it, they will offer no alternatives and give the pet owner no decision-making power for the treatment. My cat is 15 years old, skinny, losing weight, lethargic, and exhibiting significant loss of muscle tone. The vet believes it is cardiac disease. Rude and make you pay for things even though you have insurance 8/16/2008

My dog was excessively licking her anus, so I decided I'd call Banfield and see what I should do. They said oh bring her in, and asked what time I could bring her in. I brought her in at 11:15 like they said, and they made me wait an hour. Then when they finally came to the room, only after I went out into the lobby to see what was going on, it wasn't even a Dr. It was one of the vet tecs. She did emptied the anal sacs in about 30 seconds. Then I had to pay $27, even though I pay every month $26 for the "wellness plan." You'd think this would have been free but no, I had to pay even more. She justified it by saying the office visit was free, just the emptying of the anal sacs was not covered. She was very rude to me...I wouldn't have minded waiting, it's just at that time there were no other dogs waiting, it was just me and no one was doing anything. They were just all hanging out probably having lunch or whatever, and I even told them I was in a hurry. It was a very bad exp more
