Best

Very good Italian restaurant in the west metro. We had the bruschetta, fussili lunghi, and tortiglioni rossa, all very tasty. The service was excellent. Prices are on the high ...

Worst

Nicely done interior, interesting artwork and murals, but a bit noisy. Good food, but very small portions and not a good value - I will not return, as there are many better option...

WATCH OUT FOR THIS PLACE!!!! 3/13/2012

I had a lunch there on Saturday at 1 pm. Half way through our lunch manager informed me that someone broke into my car and passenger's side window was crashed. This upscale restaurant doesn't have security cameras in the parking lot. Safety of guests and their personal belongings is not the top priority for them. A police officer informed me that this type of crime happened at Bacio's parking lot in the past. I am quite shocked that management team is not proactive about it. more

Bad Experience, Bad service, subpar food for the price 5/1/2011

A horrible experience. We went to celebrate a Birthday and the restaurant was understaffed. Waited 15 mins to get a drink at the bar. The waitress was apparently had too many tables. Waited 10 mins for the first visit to the table. The food is OK but well overpriced. I think Bacio puts on the ""face"" that they are a fine dining establishment however a LOT is missing including service, portion size and overall taste. Of course this is just my opinion upon a single visit however in this economy restaurants better start measuring up to their supposed ""stature"" or they will be out of business. Hope your dining experience is better than ours. I for one will not be back. more

Save Yourself the Drive Downtown 11/11/2008

Very good Italian restaurant in the west metro. We had the bruschetta, fussili lunghi, and tortiglioni rossa, all very tasty. The service was excellent. Prices are on the high end, but you will have a good meal. Highly recommended. more

Great atmosphere and service. 5/28/2008

I meet up with a couple friends for dinner and drinks. The sky light in the center of the dining room really grabs your attention. Other decor and service was also very nice. I had the chicken parm, which was good but nothing spectactular. Overall, kind of an average blah suburban restaurant. Pros: Nice decor Cons: Food wasn't that exciting more

Great food, great ambience, great service 6/28/2007

I really cannot complain too much about this place! Great food consistently over several visits - go for their seafood selections and they have fabulous salads. The service is professional and better than most places around town. Ambience is awesome - you can get a booth in the bar even, or a nice table in the restaurant. The tables in the bar area are good for a small group meeting out for drinks. They have a nice little outdoor patio as well though it's facing the parking lot. Highly recommend this place. Cheers! more

perfect for a graduation dinner 6/13/2007

Bacio combined the elegance my dad wanted to treat us to with some food my teenagers could recognize, though we did convince my 14 year old to try the calamari and he liked it , as did the adults. The decor is beautiful without being intimidating; we took a bunch of pictures. Everything we ordered was delicious and carefully prepared. As an environmentally and nutritionally conscious person, I appreciated the use of local , organic ingredients and a light hand with the salt. Service was very attentive. We did have to wait a bit for the chocolate Budinos at the end, but I could see why when they arrived-I'm sure they are not making these ahead of time. I wish I had had room for more than a taste off my kid's plate, but I was full of yummy calamari, tangy salad, crusty bread and perfect fettucini. Pros: ambience, food, service, parking Cons: pricier than I can usually afford more

Fun, good value 8/5/2006

Affordable & good. Great service, quality of food is consistent. Although patio looks out on a parking lot, the wall is high enough that you don't notice while seated. My kids enjoy it as well. more

Disappointed! 5/1/2005

Overall, we were very disappointed with Bacio. Our server was horribly slow and confused. Our entree's were brought out at the same time as our appetizer followed by our drinks! The food was middle of the road at best. My husbands steak was closer to well-done instead of the requested medium-rare and my pasta entree was cold and bland. We will not be back. Pros: not busy Cons: bad service, mediocore food, over priced more

Highly Recommended 5/20/2004

This was a first date and a first time to Bacio! I had been to Zelo and loved it and it is refreshing to have a new place out of the downtown area ""close to home""! The Sea Bass is wonderful and cooked to perfection as was the 16 oz. Prime Rib my date ordered. Our server was attentive, but not in our face and knew the menu which helped us pick the perfect meals! I could make this place a staple in my diet! HAH! Pros: seated quickly, knowledgeable staff, good martinis more

Nice ambiance, average food 1/22/2004

I will agree the ambiance here is very nice. It does not make up for the poor service and average fare. I am not opposed to high prices, if it is worth it, but I tell you the prices on dinners are outrageousfor the average quality. The ""Bacio"" salad of mixed greens, pears, walnuts and gorgonzola was entirely unorigional. I first had this salad at Black's Ford in Wayzata six years ago. It has been copied by many since, and is better at Blacks' Ford. The cheesecake was the best part of dinner. Wait staff needs more training, especially on wines. Pros: ambiance Cons: expensive, parking more

outstanding! 6/5/2003

I had lunch at Bacio's with my parents who were visiting from out of town. We had great service and the food was outstanding! My parents comments several times on the beautiful ambiance and the tasty food. I will definitely recommend Bacio's to friends who are looking for a nice restaurant for a special occassion. Pros: ambiance, menu, memorable more

Better than Fine ... but not Spectacular 3/20/2003

A nice addition to the Minnetonka area. I've been there about a half-dozen times now and tried some of everything on the menu. Stay with the fish specials which are quite good. You'll find better pastas, sandwiches and pizzas elsewhere in the Twin Cities. The food appeals to the Minnesota palate and the service is good. If anything it's a bit pricey. I still prefer the sister restaurants of Zelo and Ciao Bella from an atmosphere perspective. Pros: Safe Menu, Good Service, Fish Specials more

Advanced 3/17/2003

Over priced Getting seated was a problem. Ambience was the best thing about this restaurant. I will be back to give them a second opportunity. Pros: Location, Atmoshere Cons: Price more

Stephanie 3/11/2003

Our boss took us out for dinner. We were horrified with our service. He ordered a bottle of Dom Perignon and the server did not know what it was. He physically had to write it down. He interrupted us 13 times to ask us if we were ready to order dinner. When we said we were not quite ready, he grabbed our menus and put them on the edge of the table. I have no idea why. Spent over $300 for 3 of us, and we will never return. more

Incredible!! 2/18/2003

We have had several incredible dining experiences at Bacio. The service is unbelievably wonderful. They provide black napkins if you're wearing dark colors and each member of the wait staff is very knowledgeable about the cuisine. The food is spectacular and the trendy atmosphere is very fun. I would definitely recommend Bacio for dining or even just for drinks in the fabulous bar. Pros: Incredible Food, Wonderful Service, Trendy Atmosphere more

Excellente 2/11/2003

Great food, wonderful surroundings and super service. A place to take someone special for a meal to remember. Pros: Eclectic food, neat surroundings, attentive service more

Excellent all around 2/9/2003

We went to Bacio based on reviews from this site and we were not disappointed. We were both in the mood for meat . . . I had the NY strip and my fiancee the filet mignon. Both were tastey and cooked exactly as we asked. Both the Bacio and Ciao Baby salads were excellent and great values. With dinner we had the '96 Caymus, a great wine that I could tell was well cared for (check out the wine storage units in the back) and the mark up was reasonable. When we asked to eat at a leisurely pace the server kept in touch with us but let the food settle between courses. The flourless chocolate cake was great! Pros: great vibe, good wine list more

Nice atmosphere....bad desserts 2/5/2003

The service and atmosphere were great, but the food was overpriced for the quality. The soup was much too thick, pasta was o.k, and the desserts had untasteful combinations. more

Incredible food 1/13/2003

This out of the way place is wonderful and romantic. My fiance took me here for my birthday and it was unforgettable. We started out with the Calamari - certainly one of the best, if not THE best, we've had. Dinner consisted of the Bacio salad - organic greens with pears, walnuts and gorgonzola (Very good!) and the Linguini al Nero - with shrimp, mussels and salmon in a light saffron tomato sauce (flavors you must savor!). We had a delightful Sangiovese wine that perfectly complemented the meal. Lastly, even though we were quite satisfied with our meal, we splurged and ordered the Budino for dessert -- WOW -- this chocolate cake is crisp on the inside and is filled with soft chocolate inside - served warm with a delicious vanilla gelato on the side. We closed our eyes with each bite while our taste buds danced in joy. Pros: fabulous food, excellent service Cons: expensive, tucked away more
