I'm so glad I was referred to you. We needed to change vets due to the distance I was driving. My previous vet was great and I was very particular about who would see my kids! \r You guys are fantastic, did everything I asked and I was surprised to see Dr. Bachman crawling on the floor with my pooches and giving them a very thorough exam as well as explaining treatment options. By the time the exam was over, my dogs voluntarily went to Dr Bachman for petting and scratches,,, that is behavior I have never witnessed at the Vet with them! THANK YOU! more

This place is wonderful! We adopted a kitten from here last year and have been taking her and our older cat back ever since! The staff and doctor are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and VERY affordable- they have discounted shots every Thursday evening and Saturday. They even saved us money by going out of their way to call an airline we were flying to find out what was needed for the cat to fly. I can't say enough good things about them- there are plenty of vet offices closer to us, but we will continue to drive the extra 25 minutes to go there. more

I took my dog here for the first time last week to have him borded while we were gone for the Thanksgiving holiday !! I called as soon as we got back and they told me everything that they did to my dog. The staff was super friendly and Kudos to Erica for being so nice. I will definetly take my dog here agin over the Christmas Holiday. If you are looking for a good vet and a very very very affordable cost please check out FMA animal hospital you will be glad you did more

Amazing service! I am so glad I found FMA and Dr. Bachman. The first time we had an appointment, I was impressed that Dr. Bachman met my dog on the floor for his exam, instead of making my dog feel stressed on the exam table. But I was even more impressed at Dr. Bachman's depth of knowledge and willingness to take the time to share it. I have never had a vet so willing to make sure I understood all options without making me feel pressured to choose a specific one. Everyone on staff is respectful, helpful, friendly and seem that they really love their jobs. This is the first time I have ever received a call back from a Veterinary office to check on my pet after our visit. The Bachman's and staff really do make you and your pet feel like family. Hands down, the best vet experience I've had in Kansas City. more

There are plenty of places in the city that will try to rip you off. This isn't one of them. Every time I take my Shi-Chon there he absolutely loves it! He doesn't even care when I leave. That's how good these people are. Everyone is very friendly and they do a great job with grooming/vet needs. Best kept secret in the metro! more

Dr. Bachman is the best veterinarian I have ever visited. He is incredibly knowledgeable and wants nothing but the best for your pet. He will absolutely go the distance for your little one. I would seriously trust him with my own care!! The entire staff is amazing! They are helpful,. and infinitely compassionate. They are never too busy to help and work long, and hard for the well-being of your critter. If you're looking for the right vet...this is the right vet. more

I received a coupon in the mail for a spay/neuter for my dog. I called around to get price estimates and looked for reviews. I didn't see a whole lot of great reviews for FMA, but just average. However, a lot of the vet clinics around the city were way higher on this service than FMA. So, I decided to go with FMA and they were great!!! They did a great job with the spaying of my little Shih-Poo. They made only 2 stitches and gave me a pain package to make sure that my dog wasn't in any pain when I brought her home. I was planning on taking her back to get groomed, but when I called, their groomer had quit and they hadn't found a replacement yet. So, I went to the Elegant Canine in the brookside area. It was nice, but I felt very rushed at Elegant Canine and I didn't think they did a very good job with what I wanted in the grooming. So, as it is starting to become summer, I needed to get my dog a summer cut. I called FMA and asked if they had a groomer, which they did. they were great a scheduling me the very next day! I have to say, i was soo nervous at cutting my puppies hair soo short for summer and was a little worried about they way she would look, but i LOVE her little new do! It is adorable and they groomer was awesome and took time to listen to what I wanted for my dog! I would highly recommend FMA to anyone! more

Our first visit turned into a tough one. Our dog is about 11 years old, and we took him in to have his teeth cleaned and to get caught up on his shots. They were going to have to keep him through the day b/c they had to anesthetize him since his teeth were so bad. We got a call about an hour before we were supposed to pick him up. They told us he had not responded well to the anesthesia and they wanted to keep him overnight for observation. We probably called them 4-5 times throughout the day to check up on him and they were never rude and they always knew just how he was doing. When I called for the last time (20 minutes after business hours) the vet answered and I appologized for calling so much. He said to me, ""Of course you're calling, he's your baby and you're worried"". They had someone call us the next morning half an hour before they opened to tell us he was doing great and we could come get him before the start of business. \r \r All of our dealings with this vet and his employees have been as stress free and informational as anyone could want. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for someone to take care of their baby. Pros: Caring, Knowledgable Staff Cons: None so far more

I have been using this doctor for nearly fourteen years. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always takes the time to talk to each of his clients. He is very empathetic and has sometimes taken care of little things for my pets free of charge. He never tries to sell me anything I do not need, his prices are very reasonable plus- Dr. Alberti is a super hottie. Best vet in town! Pros: Cleanest vet ever, caring staff, great atmosphere, cheerful ppl Cons: never had a problem more

I've been there twice and both times they were readily available. That should have been first clue. First time the vet never even came out to meet me. Second time, the assistant was giving trimming my dogs nails, which my dog wasn't happy about. Imagine that! Anyway, I was helping and so was the intern. She told my dog to behave or she would have 'mama leave the room and that will take away your comfort zone"". Not that my dog understands English and knew what she was saying, it's that she said it, and out loud in front of me. I went in there for a rabies shot and nail trimming and was there for 45 mins. They kept me in the room and were talking about moving the cars around in the parking lot.\r \r Just complete jerks and many in town have told me similar. Pros: Can get in fast Cons: Wait forever and rude unfriendly to humans and animals. more
