Beautiful decor, even better food 11/25/2008

The lobster ravioli in champagne butter sauce with caviar is something to dream about. Almost as good was my fiance's bbq shrimp. We will remember this meal for a long time. Very romantic. Great everything. Don't skip this one. Pros: Amazing food, atmosphere Cons: I hurt myself eating too much more

Fabulous! 10/25/2007

My husband I had our last lunch before going to the airport to return home. The mussels are the best I've ever had, to die for! We sat at the bar and had a great time with some of the local patrons. Julie, the bartender was great - very friendly and helpful as to the menu items. more

Great Brunch - Try the Bacco Shrimp! 6/7/2007

Fantastic ambiance, service, and presentation. The Bacco shrimp was the best thing we had during our visit to New Orleans. I also enjoyed the crawfish omelet. Definitely not crowded for brunch and an overall excellent dining experience. more

Romantic 3/19/2007

I took my girlfriend for Valentines day. Great complimentary valet parking at the W. Staff is very friendly. Food is excellent. The salmon and lobster raviolli were delicious. Entrees range from $20 to $30. Great place to take a date or for a special occasion. Pros: Food, parking, atmosphere, staff more

Highly recommend 11/27/2006

My girlfriend and I had a excelent experience on Bacco Novemeber 25, 2006. After frustrated experience on Galatoires (poor services; For Example: Galatoires required dress code they provided me a jacket with a hole on it and the waiter threw out the napkin or table cloth on the table front of us meanwhile he was cleaning the utensil ( it was ridicules to pay so much money to receive these mistreats) . On the other hand, the food and services on Bacco was amazing. The table manner from the Bacco staff were perfect; For Example: serving the food from the right side, the tasting of the wine, removing of the unused utensil by every course of the food, etc) I will say Bacco has very well trained people. And we were very pleased with the Bacco and I would like to recommend to everyone who visit New Orleans. Pros: Service and Food Cons: Location more

Great service. 9/4/2006

On a Sunday night, my wife & I had an hour before our Bacco dinner reservation and wandered upon the Chart Room next door. It was a cool dive with a great juke box in the back corner with selections from Frank Sinatra to Roy Orbison to the Allmand Bros. and many others. It turned out to be a romantic diversion and a great place for a drink & people watching before dinner. Bring some cash as they don't take plastic. At Bacco, we were seated promptly & the wait staff was excellent & friendly. My wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli which she considered one of the best meals she'd ever had. I had the Tuna but it did not compare to my wife's fare which I tried; it was delicious. \r \r more

Great gourmet Italian in the French Quarter 3/18/2006

Post-Katrina it's prompt seating with no reservation. Brought 2 guests and everything ordered was excellent. The calamari appetizer with feta and marinara was very tender, done to perfection and seasoned correctly. The house special salad was very flavorful and unique. My entree was shrimp ravioli with lobster sauce, the best I've ever had. The raviolis are hand made and thin -- not too starchy or doughey. The filling was all shrimp & the lobster sauce had several good sized chunks of real lobster. I ordered a molded chocolate pudding type dessert (can't remember name) but it was to die for. My guests enjoyed their entrees as well. Good wine selection, but the decor doesn't say Italian unless you're a Modigliani fan. Service was very attentive altho one server seemed a bit snooty presumably because 1 of my guests was in a polo shirt and jeans. Pros: Immediate seating, great food, Good service Cons: Pricey, difficult parking more

10 cent Martinis!!!! 9/11/2003

At lunch this restaurant has 10 cent martinis-- that alone is worth the trip. The antipasto and salads were delicious. The food was good, but it wasn't over the top good if you are a foodie. Service is outstanding. 10 cent Martinis is too much fun !!!! more

Beautiful 5/29/2003

Refreshingly different from the otherwise taudry side of the french quarter. When you have had enough of the frilly antiques, this place is a nice tuscan refuge. The food is wonderful and almost worth the price. The wine list is overpriced, but offers great choices. I would go again simply to enjoy the beauty of the place though. more

This is one of the most overrated restaurants in the city. I went three times and experienced mediocre service and mediocre food all three visits. the wonder is that it is still open, I guess tourists will believe anything and eat anything Cons: overpriced, mediocre food more

Worst service of all Brennans restaurant 5/18/2003

Though the food was amazing, they could deliver the food correctly, had to get our own menus, and was treated like second rate people. One expects amazing things from the Brennan family, but this local was amazed at the lack of service. Pros: Good food Cons: poor service, expensive, bad parking more

TOURIST TRAP 2/23/2003

We had one of the worst lunches. My food was cold and my wife's was not what she ordered. more

Outstanding and a good value! 2/11/2003

Had the lobster ravioli nothing short of excellent!! Service is solid and the atmosphere is nice. Try the shrimp pizza appetizer it's also great. good wine list and reasonable prices. more

Never Again! 11/26/2002

I chose this Brennan's eatery for it's quality reputation and family name, expecting the same service and finely prepared cuisine of other Brennan's restaurants and was sorely disappointed. Not until 45 minutes after ordering our wine did it arrive at the table. Food arrived in shifts, leaving half our meals cold while we waited, not to mention mediocre at best... My ravioli were undercooked and stuck together. The manager was less than accomodating when we brought our concerns to his attention. This Quarter eatery won't last long. NEVER again! more

Best of the Best 8/26/2002

Bacco is just a all around outstanding place to dine. The service staff there couldn't be more attention to detail orientated. Not to mention the food that is second to none! Pros: Good parking, Great staff, non smoking more

Bacco's food is GREAT!! I enjoyed the atmosphere, employees and most of all the food. I would recommend this above all other restrauants in and around the Metro/New Orleans. more

O.K. I'm not a truffles fan, but the service is outstanding, a staff that really understands the restaurant business. The food is great! and if it's not it's fixed! Pros: Great FOOD!, Superlative Service!!, Validated Parking more

WOW! Gotta geaux back! 7/23/2002
