I have been very impressed with the care that the staff demonstrates to my animals. Once, when I found an injured stray cat, I was told they would help me with it, and they did. The care was obviously motivated out of concern for the animal and not money. more

Excellent Personal Care! 4/1/2012

We've taken our Boxers to Averill and wouldn't go anywhere else. From quick ""what's this?"" questions to in-depth care to boarding, the staff at Averill are the best. They treat our animals how we want them to be treated - always explaining things, and asking what we'd prefer. Dr. Nelson is an amazing vet, and has treated both of our Boxers well (who both had/have very different health). We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else, and we completely trust them to board our dogs too. We love Averill! more

None Better 3/17/2012

I have had miniature schnauzers most of my life and have lived in multiple states. My exposure to vets and staff have generally been favorable. However, this vet clinic is truly awesome! The staff members from front desk to med techs to R&B handlers are friendly, knowledgeable, caring people who obviously love helping clients with their pets. The physicians (Dr. Averill and Dr. Nelson) really listen to your concerns. Their handling of my ""dog children"" is gentle and thorough. They explain options for treatment and potential testing so that a lay person understands what can be involved. They followup with you to make sure treatment is resolving medical issues. I have been a client for at least 10 years now. I have seen staff members finish degrees, marry and some have moved away. But the caring quality of new staff members has remained constant. I repeat... there is none better than this group! more

Caring Staff 3/16/2012

Not only are the Vets fantastic at Averill Animal Hospital, but the entire staff is very caring. Friendly smiles greet you along with great attitudes. Rescue animals are usually available for adoption, they meander around greeting you along with the staff! more

Marietta's Best Vet 2/25/2012

We have used Averill Animal Hospital for 10 years and all 3 of our pets have received nothing but the best care. (2 cats and 1 dog). If you are looking for a vet that really cares about your pet's health .... Averill Animal Hospital is the place to go!! more

Good local vet 2/22/2012

We've been taking our bassett hound to Averill since we rescued her in 2009. They are a very good local vet - which I prefer over ""chain"" vets - and have always taken great care of our girl. She's had everything done from teeth extraction surgery to basic nail trims and the staff has always treated her with great care no matter why the reason she's there. more

I've been using Averill for many years and am very happy with their service. The staff is always friendly and the doctors take their time and explain everything clearly. They never fail to make a followup call to see how your pet is doing. Their hours are convenient and they actually stay open during the lunch hour, unlike other vets I've used. more

Best Vetininary Care in Marietta 2/18/2012

We have lived in West Cobb for 12 years and have never used anyone else. Dr. Nelson and the staff are the best. They are all very caring not only for our four legged girls but for us as the owners as well. We have been through good times and the loss of a pet as well. I cannot imagine taking our girls anyware else. They know us and our girls very well. It is very comforting to know that we fully trust Dr. Nelson and the team to take care of our girls. I know without a doubt that Jimmy, Sara and the rest of the team love and care for our girls !!!!!! Thanks so much for everything you do for our family :) more

Excellent Pet Care 2/16/2012

Best place in West Cobb to have complete care for your ""pet""! We began boarding our pets with Averill Animal Hospital after searching for the nicest environment for them. After the first stay we transferred our Vet services as well and have only been completely overwhelmed with the ""docs"" and the the staff. We feel completely confident when they stay with them. Very compassionate with the animals and their human families. more

Averill Animal Hospital 2/15/2012

We have been taking our pets to Averill Animal Hospital for many years. They are soooo good to them and know them by name. Lynette and Jimmy are amazing at calming the scared ones and handling the grouchy ones. They both have a true gift and love of animals. The ladies that work the front desk are very kind, helpful and professional. And last but by no means least, Dr. Averill and Dr. Nelson are so compassionate and good with the animals. They will do any and everything within their power to heal any animal. It is with great pleasure that I write this review. My pets are my children and I would not take them any where other than Averill. more

Our family has been going to Averill Animal Hospital for a while now. They have been with us for the happy and the sad times. Regardless of the situation, they have gone above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to the care of our pets. Dr. Nelson and Dr. Averill as well as the rest of the staff show compassion towards our pets and have extensive knowledge of the type of care needed for our pets. The customer service is outstanding! I completely trust every staff member with the care of my pets and although there are several other animal hospitals around, we only consider going to Averill Animal Hospital! more

    Averill Animal Hospital strives to obtain a warm and informal atmosphere where the client and their pet(s) feel at home while still providing state of the art diagnostics and treatments. We emphasize a strong relationship with our clients and their pets and really consider them part of our family, making their visit to the practice as comfortable and personal as possible. Through this strong relationship with our patients, we always want the best and most current treatments to be offered, and therefore are continually adding the most current diagnostics and treatments available. We also stress proactive vs. reactive medicine and strive to push the ability to diagnose disease before clinical signs become apparent and prevent infectious disease both for our patients and for the community.
