Great people, great care. 1/22/2012

We've been taking our dogs to Averill for 13 years. We couldn't ask for better care. Buster and Rose aren't just pets to my wife and I. They are our family. Dr. Nelson and the staff at Averill treat Buster and Rose like cherished family members. They have my complete faith and trust. more

Only the best for my two! 1/21/2012

We've been with Averill Animal Hospital for several years. We have two dogs. One has had major hip surgery performed my Dr. Nelson. I can't say enough good things. The Drs. and staff could not be any more caring and compassionate. My dogs love them and trust them. Trust was quite an accomplishment with one of my dogs! Dr. Nelson is just the best and Jimmy is the dog whisperer. I have referred friends and would do so again. more

Caring Vet in West Cobb 1/19/2012

I've been taking my various pets to Averill Animal Hospital in Marietta for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. Drs. Averill and Nelson are both very competent and caring vets. Their techs and office staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate to recommend them for your pet's needs. more

I have been taking my cats to Averill Animal Hospital since 1984! The doctors are very caring, professional, and take great care of our cats. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend taking your animals to Averill Animal Hospital to anyone looking for a vet. more

All the doctors as well as staff are genuine in their dedication to and compassion for their patients. They are honest, caring, wonderful people, who run their business with integrity. We've been going here for 6 years now and am very pleased with the staff and with Dr Nelson and Dr Averill. They are caring, personable, kind and treat us like family. I never feel rushed when they see my pet and they don't make me feel silly about my concerns with my pet. If you are looking for a great veterinarian, here you are. more

Great pet care 12/19/2011

I have been going to Averill's for about 25 years. The doctors and staff there are so caring. They know you and your pet. They follow up with a phone call if the animal had been sick or had surgery. 10 years ago I moved from the immediate area and still travel the extra distance to go to these doctors. It is worth the trip. more

Wonderful place to take your sweet precious animals! 12/19/2011

Love, love these people! They were so good to my little poodle (Pierre) When he passed away Dr, Averill spend time with us and treated us with respect. Dr. Averill sent someone to my home to help buried my sweet Poodle. Recently our other dog Sandy got very sick, and Dr. Nelson stepped up to the plate and took good care of our precious Sandy. And Sandy is doing really good now. Like both doctors and the staff are super! more

Terrific care for our furry family members! 12/14/2011

My husband and I have been going to Averill Animal Hospital since 2008 when we got our first kitten. Now we have added a dog and another kitten to our family. The doctors and staff have been wonderful and very caring. We had to put our first dog, Abby, to sleep a few years ago and this was a very difficult time for us. The doctors at Averill spent alot of personal time with us during this period. Most recenty, our youngest kitten tore his ACL and was at Averill for over a week recovering from surgery. The surgery was tricky, but Dr. Nelson was amazing! Now, Prancer is running, jumping and barely limping! I believe Dr. Nelson saved his life! I will not take our pets anywhere else! more

Appalled 8/20/2011

If there was a zero rating this animal hospital and how they handled my situation deserves a zero rating. We purchased (and had purchased several cans before) of the ID dog food in a can. Our last purchase was less than 2 weeks ago for 6 cans. Sadly our beloved wheaten passed away this week. We took the cans back expecting a refund and were told we could get a credit. It was explained what had happened and handled with very little sensitivity, what the heck am I going to do with a credit? An attitude was also quite apparent. Not wanting to make a scene as others were in the room I left with my cans and will donate to a dog organization. I am truly amazed at how this was handled -maybe if I bring the euthanasia report they will rethink it. Interesting enough, we had also purchased dog food in a can from Red Bandanna and NO PROBLEM no questions asked were able to return it for a refund. more

Super Friendly Animal Lovers & Vets 7/24/2007

My dogs LOVE going to this place! The people are very friendly and pay extra special attention to my dogs when we are there! The veterinarians are very patient and caring and explain everything very well! They also have a fantastic boarding facility right there on site!! more

    Averill Animal Hospital strives to obtain a warm and informal atmosphere where the client and their pet(s) feel at home while still providing state of the art diagnostics and treatments. We emphasize a strong relationship with our clients and their pets and really consider them part of our family, making their visit to the practice as comfortable and personal as possible. Through this strong relationship with our patients, we always want the best and most current treatments to be offered, and therefore are continually adding the most current diagnostics and treatments available. We also stress proactive vs. reactive medicine and strive to push the ability to diagnose disease before clinical signs become apparent and prevent infectious disease both for our patients and for the community.
