Single Process Color 11/10/2011

My hair coloring was great. I was greeted immediately, I sat down, chose my color and was started within minutes. The student was efficient, and I would definitely go back to her. more

This was my first and my last. My experience was very rude and impolite. 11/3/2011

I was very impressed up until the point when it was time for the student to dry and style my hair. She was called away from her station and another student was told to finish my hair. I was completely turned off at this point because Lynn was professional, polite and when in doubt she consulted with a teacher. Lynn suggested that instead of a free manicure could I get my hair flat ironed because blacks' hair could not just be blow dryed with a roller brush. The teacher did not tell me what was going on, Lynn was called away and I did not like the idea of another student was told to finish my hair, she was not introduce to me and no one ask if this was okay with me to take over. The other student was told in front of me to flat iron my hair. I wanted to leave, then Lynn returned and helped the other student finish my hair. more

Facial 11/2/2011

The facial was very relaxing and made my skin feel wonderful. I experienced skin irritation around the folds of my nose later. Perhaps, whatever was used should have been cleaned off better or maybe it was just my skin. I will be back as I enjoy most of treatments. more

Less than impressed 11/1/2011

As a client of Aveda in Lafayette I had become accustomed to a certain level of professionalism. I did not experience that same level at the Aveda in Metairie. The person who did my hair not only complained the whole time about being ready to go home but also took her shoes off while working. She mentioned to another student more than once that if her instructors saw her that she would be sent home and that was okay with her. Her cell phone also went off twice while she was working on my hair. I love Aveda and the experiences I have had with the school in Lafayette as a client for over 4 years, but after two negative experiences in Metairie I believe it is time to find a new place to go. It saddens me that the two locations are so drastically different. more

Great Experience. Hairdresser that colored and highlighted my hair took her time and wanted a great result at the end, which I did get. Thank you for your service. Also instructors was very knowledgable and worked with the student giving her approvals and opinions. more

Had a cut and color. Student was very attentive and the end results were great, however the service took four hours to complete. Very reasonably priced and a good experience if you have the time! more

I had another great experience at Aveda! I always love going to the institutes wherever I am living, and have loved the Aveda Institute again! The student was very professional and did a very great job with my haircut. I would always go there - great cut for a great price! more

First time customer 10/13/2011

The student who did my hair couldn't have been nicer. I had color and it came out just as I had expected. It took close to 3 hours, which I thought was too long and she really couldn't style my hair. I wear a short bob with bangs swept to the side - so nothing fancy. Because the price was so reasonable for hair color ( which is what I really went to Aveda for) I will be back. more
