i had read reviews on line & saw that this restaurant had high marks & wanted to try it out. my companion was hesitant since the restaurant IS located inside texas station casino & that didnt seem like a likely place for an upscale restaurant or a fine dining experience. it didnt start off great. we got there at 745pm & the hostess had just gone inside to show someone a table. she never came back. we waited at the entrance like idiots for 5 minutes & that s a long time to just stand around in front of an empty podium with no promise of anyone helping us. finally, a waitress came over to seat us. but our waiter didnt come by for another 5 minutes, so we were sitting there without menus that whole time. we were, as you can guess, a little irritated at this time. my companion even wanted to up & go to the treasure island steakhouse instead. our waiter finally came over & after this little hiccup in the beginning, everything was EXCELLENT. we had 2 waiters waiting on us, another bringing us break & water (the bread basket was very unique) & many others stopping by to ask if we were all right & recommended wines. their wine is very reasonably priced, not much higher than retail prices. we had the steakhouse salad (do share one since they re huge), the surf & turf (includes a lobster tail which was humongous & a 12 oz filet mignon) & also the 16oz filet mignon. for sides we got spinach & mashed potatoes. we should ve just gotten 1 side or no sides becuz the entrees were very generous in propotions. we couldnt even finish the sides. for dessert, the chocolate decadent cake was sooo good. overall, i LOVED this place. the ambiance was great, the service was beyond excellent & the food was great as well. it's a very romantic place to take a date. you would definitely get props for it. we ordered a bottle of dom perignon (195) & splurged on the more expensive entrees, so our dinner came out to be 400. but you could easily eat here for 100 or so. go there. u wont regret it.
Pros: ambience, great food, service, reasonably priced wines
