I wish I had saved my money. Bought 2 packages of underarm and brazilian laser hair removal. 11 sessions later, I do not have any less hair than I did after the first one. I could have bought many waxing sessions for all that money I wasted. Facility is clean and the people are nice, but the laser does not work. more

I previously had a laser treatment at a dermatologist's office, which was only semi-successful, so I was hesitant to give laser hair removal another try. A friend of mine and my sister’s had successful laser treatments at Aura and suggested that I give them a try.\r \r It only took one visit to Aura Laser to make them earn my trust. Katy is very skilled-- definitely a perfectionist too. I've almost completed my first round of hair removal (I need 2 more sessions) and already the results are great. I have very very thick hair that had become coarse from shaving (particularly underarms), and I actually can't believe how much of a difference this treatment has made.\r \r The other bright side: Their spa is super clean and super hygienic. This is a great, well-established, reputable business, NOT some sketchy laser clinic. The staff is trustworthy and professional (They really cared and took their time when treating me). I purchased their groupon for 3 ipl treatments with 3 microderms back in July. They started me on the microderms to prep my skin and just last week I started on my 1st ipl fotofacial. The dark spots on my face are less pronounced already so I am happy so far about the outcome. I am hoping to get rid of all of them by the time I am finished with my 3rd ipl. The technician who treated me was very professional and explained to me how the treatment works. The pain level was very tolerable and I am booked for my next treatment in a couple of weeks. I have a friend who is getting the same package deal with Aura and she is satisfied with the service so I thought I’d post this review to share my experience with the public. more

This is the WORST PLACE I have ever been.(Kirkland) Poor customer service, front dest employee Katie is very unprofessional she is annoyingly talkative... and unprofessional technicians. I have visited many places for the laser hair removal. I have never been treated like they did. They are running this place terribly and somebody needs to stop them. They need to treat people nicer. I HATED!... and never go back again ever...\r Well I have read the many positive feed backs as well. If you have never been treated really nicely before, yes you might like these people... but no, just go ahead and compare Pro Sports Club SPA if you have ever been there... they are more educated and professional in many ways. Seriously, if you have unwanted hair or wrinkles, this is your place. Don't wait. I came to Aura Laser Skin Care based on a friend’s recommendation. Getting a little older, I noticed some new wrinkles and sun damage (H2Ogirl, need I say more?). I wanted them GONZO! I called Aura Laser in Kirkland and made an appointment with Katie to give me a consultation about what to be done about these spots. She was super sweet, remembered me from a few months ago when I came in with my friend and was really attentive to my needs, wants, don't wants. She recommended a 2 microdermabrasions and 2 ipl laser treatments. I did the microderm in that moment. It was awesome!! I scheduled my laser treatment and was on my way with a fresh face.\r \r She also recommended a prescription tube I forgot the name, wrinkle-rid (that's what I call it) and moisturizer as well as an Obagi line called exfoderm. As someone who has used Olay Moisturizer my whole life (thanks mom for ruining my skin), I was open to trying something new. This stuff is awesome. Sure, it's pricey by comparison to the Olay/Neutrogena stuff I've been using, but I can feel the cleanser tightening and see results.Subsequently, I've been back for my first laser facial treatment. It didn't hurt at all and I can already see some spots fading AND my 11 (between my eyebrows) is noticeably smaller. \r \r I love Katie. I love my face. I’ve been to a number of spa’s in the Seattle and east side areas, but none that compare to Aura Laser Skin Care in a variety of ways. I just purchased the groupon they have for the 3 ipl and 3 microderms. I first started going to them back in december of last year and have been ever since. Their facility is very clean and staff is professional and capable. They also care about their clients and do not rush through the treatments or force a sale. One particular example that comes to mind is the fotofacial treatment, which I had last year helped my skin tremendously. The sun spots on my face were reduced and bacame hardly noticeable and my skin looked and felt younger.\r In addition, it’s important to me to not only trust the spa staff who perform the treatments, but to feel very comfortable in my surroundings. The technicians at Aura not only put your mind at ease, but they also go to great lengths in answering all of your questions and concerns. They are very knowledeable and they share that knowledge with the customer. The spa is a very welcoming place very clean, tidy and nicely decorated. \r Dr. Garcia, their medical director, is always available on site to answer any questions or address any concerns I have. He spent a great deal of time with me on my first visit, offering expert knowledge on everything offered at his spa. Further, he’s a very pleasant man that has your best interest at heart. He and his staff are proactive, inasmuch as they share necessary information with you and ensure your understanding, with regard to your treatments and services. My dad gave me a Groupon for 3 microderms, and 3 photofacial at Aura Skin Care Kirkland for my birthday. I booked an appointment 2 month in advance, and less than 24hrs before the appointment they called me and told me that my technician ""had an emergency"" and they had to reschedule my appointment, and the next available date would be in one month at an inconvenient time for me. Just like other reviewer said, I later on realized that the assign the technicians the same day of the appointment. (Yeah right.....technician emergency my tush!) \r \r The front desk staff was rude if you're lucky to find anyone there, most of the time I had to wait until any technician got out of a treatment room so they could check appointments. I tried to book another appointment after my treatment and there was nobody at the front desk, a technician suggested to go and look for the receptionist or manager at the starbucks next door. I ask Katy the manager what was their system to keep track of appointments, I've been to other spas and some do punch cards, others keep track by marking their file at the computer, anyway....the manager laughed at my face and told me in a very rude sarcastic way: haha....What do you think we are? an icream store? punch cards.....ha..people....*then she looked at me like if a was mentally challenge* and walked away. I felt humiliated, it was a simple question!. Since she walked away annoyed by my question, I want home and then called the spa to make another appointment because my groupon was for 6 appointments I didn't want to loose the money. Nobody answered ( I guess they were at starbucks.....). I kept trying to call every other day, until finally somebody answer the phone just to put me on hold for 10 min. \r \r The treatment was ok, not that great. The technician was a male that kept asking personal questions and talking about his personal life....I just wanted to relax.....oh well. So far most of the technicians I've had at Aura skin care are fresh out of the esthetics school ( I kind feel like a guinea pig, because sometimes they don't know what to do, so they go and look for the manager so she can tell them what to do next) \r \r Please don't waste your money at this awful place.\r \r more

I've purchased this Groupon for my wife at the end March 2012 (at that time there were mostly positive reviews here). She has experienced bad customer service including:\r \r 1. Getting an appointment rescheduled by Aura for no apparent reason (when she had booked the appointment a month in advance, they rescheduled it to an inconvenient time weeks from the original appointment). Four days before the appointment, they called about rescheduling claiming that the technician had an emergency, but my wife later found out they don't assign the technician until the day of the appointment.\r \r 2. Ineffective treatment (My wife noticed that the treatment does not hurt a bit - but it should, she had asked the technician if she could treat a few areas on her leg that she did not notice any improvements in - so she brought up her concerns to the technician)\r \r 3. Rude handling of customer's questions (The receptionist told my wife that she was being too demanding/asking the technicians too many questions and said to her ""Why are you asking all these questions and telling the technicians what to do? Do you want to know how to operate the machine? Then you have to get a certification. If you keep asking these questions, we will terminate your services."" She said this in a condescending manner while raising her voice at my wife in front of another customer). This was right after she had a friendly conversation with the technician during her appointment.\r \r We feel that Aura is purposefully doing these actions to get Groupon customers to cancel so that Aura can keep Groupon customers' money without having to do further treatments.\r \r Having read many other Groupon customer's negative reviews, I have reported this business to Groupon and I urge you to do the same. \r \r 1. Oh my god! Worst place ever.. Do not buy their groupon! The staff is rude, service is awfull... They almost make you feel like they are doing you a favor by scheduling your appt.. If they really do need my business why do they have groupons running? Pathetic experience, specially with Katy on the staff.. She can't be bothered with scheduling.. Should have read reviews before buying groupon.. I am canceling mine for sure.. After reading reviews below, just glad my scheduling did not work out, so I can cancel! more

Beware - Do Not Visit this Spa! I received a laser treatment for my face at this clinic which caused permanent damage and scarring. I followed up with the clinic to schedule an appointment to remedy the damage, and the doctor would not even take my visit. I've spent and additional $1000 out of my own pocket to try to fix the mistakes this technician made. Very unprofessional service (including the front desk). Save yourself some money and do not go here. more

I was extremely happy to see Aura Laser has a groupon today. This is the third groupon I am buying for my laser hair removal with them. I look forward to start on my Bikini treatments. Julia D more

These guys have done these Groupons 3 times in just over a year, talk about a cash grab...,and this time they are increasing their 6 sessions to 8....hmmmm, looking for more quick cash from unsuspecting.\r \r The Laser they use does nothing...the laser itself isnt that great (check reviews), thats why they say for any skin type...but on top of that I dont think they are changing the tips. I bought 2 - SIX session packages for them...that is 12 sessions for my legs...guess what...nothing has changed! I have had the pleaseure of going there for over 1.5 years.\r \r I am not a virgin to laser hair removal...and I have the perfect skin type for it. Had my bikini done a few years ago, better laser, Better place...bikini free and clear. I purchased the co2 fractional face and neck area.\r I scheduled a consultation and met with the dr. I found him very sincere and informative. I received all the pertinent information regarding the outcome and my expectations. \r He described the process step by step and i never felt rushed or brushed off as i had many questions and concerns and worried about scarring.\r \r I am scheduled to have the treatment they called in all my prescriptions and an anti anxiety to help with my nerves on the day of. I was told i would need to have a DD=designated driver to take me home on the day of my procedure, i told them i didn't have anyone as i live alone and don't want anyone to know i have had anything done.\r \r They arranged for a taxi to pick me up and take me home.\r \r i am really impressed so far with the care and follow up i am receiving. I had been searching for a reputable laser hair removal facility for my legs, when I came across Aura Laser and all of their awesome reviews online. I was getting ready to contact them and decided to sleep on it, and you can imagine my surprise when I woke up the very next morning to see a Groupon deal for them in my inbox! Bought it immediately! At the time of my first treatment, the technicians were very professional, extremely nice and made me feel very comfortable. I had 3 treatments since February and have 3 more to go. I have only had to shave a few times since then. I was shocked at how amazing the results were, only halfway through the series! Next week is my 4th appointment and I actually decided to go ahead and add 2 additional areas for next time. This place is really the best in every aspect. more

I won't be using the fotofacials for sometime as i will not need them for a long time. The treatments don't expire and i can save them until i am ready to use them at my discression. I never felt pressured at this clinic to buy anything extra. I felt everyone is genuinely interested in their field of work. They have a very nice upbeat and clean place it is an extremely busy place each time i have been there i see at least5-10 people coming and going in and out. I did run into my coworker who was having the same thing done. I also ran into one of my daughters friends moms...ha ha so if you don't want to run into people you know i would suggest going to another place. Aura Laser Skin Care has earned my trust and will always have my business. I love the way my skin looks and feels now. I am very happy that they only suggested one skin product to maintain my results and a skin wash and SPF. All other clinics and spas i have visited are always selling a hundred different products to put on my face of which zero made a difference and it was a total loss of my hard earned money . Misrepresented what was offer all the way to the end. I was getting laser treatment done for my eyes at a well now cosmetic surgery enter when I saw the Groupon for there CO2 laser treatments. I chatted on line with the head nurse who informed me that the eyes where included with the face treatment. So I bought it. When I had my consultation with the doctor he concurred that the eyes where to be done too in that procedure. At the time of my treatment, he had my chart in his hands, he knew that I was using the Groupon. He was well aware of the areas on my lid that I was wanting fixed and he had said that he could get them ( in my consultation). All he had to protect me eyes from the laser were some patches that I didn't feel confortable with. I confirmed with the nurse previously that the eye protection would go in my eye, but those hadn't come in yet so all he had where these eye patches. I decided to let him do rest of my face and he said that I could come back later, after the right kind of eye protection came in and he would do my eyes. I confirmed with him that there would be no extra charge. When It came time to scedule my appointment to finish my eyes. They said that eyes where't included in the Groupon, that the doctor made a mistake. I talked with the manager who was very rude and would let me speak. I had her on speaker phone so my faimily could hear her too. putting us on hold 3 times she came back and said that she had wasted 20 minutes talking to us, that the doctor wouldn't see me and she hung up on us. more

Absolutely horrible, starting with the front desk, I walked in stood in front of desk while the receptionist talked on the phone, no eye contact, I sat waited for 10 minutes for her to acknowledged me. I have been there 2 times for laser hair removal and still have not actually had the treatment due to their screw ups that they refuse to admit. I would strongly discourage wasting your time and money on this place, not worth it!! more

Front desk is atrocious. She ignored me completely, while talking to a coworker making fun of a customer who called worried that her laser treatment was ineffective. This girl was immature, made fun of the client, in front me myself and another person being ignored in the waiting room. People don't want to know that private procedures are being made a joke in front of strangers. I know I wouldn't. Not to mention, the place is SERIOUSLY FILTHY. These people are performing professional services on you and your skin, I would expect the place to be clean. Machines are dusty, and greasy. Technicians have food and other random crap hanging out all over the room. Floors are dirty. I was given an appointment with a girl so sick she didn't even have a voice. Would you want that person 2 inches from your face? The sterilization equipment they use is the same stuff you or I would buy from Safeway. I will not be returning to finish the remainder of my groupon treatments. This place is disgusting. more

The gal who did my first IPL was very nice and did a good job, which is more then I can say for the front desk women.I sat in the waiting room about 15 minutes~and listen to her put call after call on hold just to ""chat"" with whom ever was around about her life. In spite of her I made another appointment. The women at the front desk made an error on my appointment card, so I called and left a message to this, NO ONE called me back... When I called she instantly put me on hold when she did come back and I was able to explain she said SORRY it was an honest mistake (Which is was) but then she told me I had to wait an additional MONTH for an appointment. I was in mid-sentance three times and she cut me off and put me on hold. She said she would call me back and never did, I had to call again! VERY RUDE! I had waited a month to get my first appointmen and I think it was because of the coupon which I feel is UNEXCEPTABLE. Don't give them out if you can't sched. I gave this place a 2 star only because Crissy did a good job. A supervisor should have a stren talking with her about CUSTOMER SERVICE..Because she has none. more

Today was my first day into this clinic. I was greeted by a very enthusiastic front desk. although she seemed very busy she never made me feel like i was enconviencing her by asking questions. i was really nervous because it was my first time doing an photofacial. She simply put the calls on hold and let me know she would be able to answer my questions shortly. after about two minutes she directed her focus on me. All of my questions were answered and my service was amazing. My opinion of this clinic is a five star for customer service, a sterile environment and a staff that seems very educated with skin. more
