I've dined at quite a few ""hot"" restaurants in L.A. and Asia de Cuba exceeded the hype. The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS and the staff, from the hostess to the busboys were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Even after requesting to move twice, our hostess, Stephanie, was a sweetheart. If possible, procure seating as close as possible to the windows, which offer amazing views of L.A. We couldn't read our menu because the wind made it impossible to keep a burning candle, so we relied on our server's suggestions of the shrimp skewers (to die for!), butterfish (melts-in-your-mouth delicious), and lobster mashed potatoes (interesting and tasty. My date and I lounged on the patio after a few strong drinks and enjoyed our entire evening. A wonderful location with beautiful views and decor, and scrumptious food. And you've got to love the huge pots of trees.
Pros: food!!!, decor, location
