This is my 2nd dog I picked and have been extremely happy.

The puppy we purchased had fleas and the Animal House did nothing about it claiming it was our fault, because from the store to our home she became infested with fleas. When asked...

DO NOT BUY A PET FROM THIS PUPPY MILL 9/22/2009

My husband and I visited Animal House 12 years ago in search of Jack Russell Terrier puppy. When we entered the store, the overwhelming smell of urine and rank was ALMOST enough to make us run out the door. BUT - animal lovers that we are, we then felt we should look, and SAVE a puppy from this horrible place. We did indeed buy a female jrt, who upon her 1st visit to the vet for inoculations went into shock and almost died. She had a heart condition, and would have seizures whenever she was inoculated or was ill. It was concluded by several visits, to several vets - her health conditions most likely were from over-breeding...the casualty of a puppy mill. PLEASE do not purchase animals from this store. We loved our Jack her whole life of course, but she struggled with health problems, and that's just not fair. Please do not buy pets from them - help close their door - and the cruel treatment to animals they perpetuate. Pros: Cheap Pricing- which denotes POOR quality usually Cons: Our dog had health problems entire life / place was a sty more

2 dogs..NO problems 5/26/2009

My mom had bought a puppy from there some 7-8 years ago. He is the sweetest thing. When my family and I were ready to purchase our first dog we went here. Our first dog is now 6 years old and is the sweetest thing. He is a toy poodle and definitely a lap dog. A year after we purchased him, we went back for a companion for him. We ended up with another great score. I have nothing but praise for this place. I would purchase from there again :) Pros: Friendly people, prices more

They do not disclose medical issues 2/28/2009

Animal House - Quakertown, PA I bought a dog from there a few years ago and got him home and he was very sick for the first month I had him - the vet said he was def. from a puppy mill and wasn't treated properly. That place should be shut down. Pros: cheap prices Cons: sick animals more

Who would BUY a kitten? 10/17/2008

Reputible breeders NEVER sell through pet stores. This place is nothing more than a puppy mill profiteer. Do some research and NEVER buy from a pet store. Pros: None unless your making a profit Cons: cruelty for greed, zoonotic diseases, genetic problems, impulse buying more

Love my Dog 9/21/2008

I got a sweet mixed puppy from there. She is loyal, loving and wants to sit in everyone's lap. They even gave me a free vet visit to have the puppy checked out within the first week I bought her to see if everything was up to par. Now she is 13 and I'm not going to have her much longer. I plan on going there for my next pet. more

Buyer Beware 8/3/2008

My husband and I purchased an Akita puppy from these people with the assurance that both the parents and the puppy that we got were in excellent health. We have had nothing but health problems with him since we have had him. He has chronic ear infections, allergies and now we have to pay roughly 4,000 dollars to have corrective surgery on his back legs. According to our vet, he was born with a genetic malformity of his legs and they need to be surgically corrected or he will lose his ability to walk. Had these people bothered to have a check up done prior to selling him, they would have quickly known that there was a problem. I do not recommend that anyone purchases any animal from them. They do not care for their animals the way they should and they place these puppies in small cages so that consumers can walk in there and feel sorry for the puppies for being in cages and want to purchase them. Pros: Cheap prices Cons: Pay alot more once you bring your pet home, they lie about health more

Puppies for $99.! 6/17/2008

This store really cares about their puppies. They put two puppies to a cage so they are not scared and alone. Dogs are pack animals, they need company. I bought a pure-bred Yorkie there with papers for only $599. She is now ten years old. Only weighs four pounds and I have never had a problem with her. She is the most loving dog and actually smiles when you talk to her. I went in there last weekend and they had a Morkie (Maltese-Yorkie cross) for $399. I have never seen a Yorkie mix in there for over $500. They do not price their dogs like other stores. If you are looking for a mix, they sell them for $99. - even the rescues charge more than that. They feel these dogs needs homes and would be dumped or abandoned. They barely cover their costs on these dogs. I highly recommend this store. more

They keep the puppies locked up in little crates sometimes with 2 or 3 other puppies at a time!!! 5/31/2008

My wife bought what was labeled as a ""yorkie mix"" puppy back in August '07 from this place for $695. Turned out another big-time pet store realized right away the puppy was not yorkie, but CAIRN TERRIER! Since then we have had vets tell us our puppy is none other than a mutt, without any yorkie. That was mistake #1, the 2nd was the puppy's agression level is through the roof. He has bittten me at this point 6+ times. Vet says there may have been something wrong with the puppy's parents. And mistake # 3 is the umbilical hernia-which the vet also informed us is a sign of bad breeding. We have spent well over $2,500 in intensive training and vet bills! We love our little guy to pieces, but we tell everyone we know not to buy from this place b/c they obviously don't know what they're selling. Go to a reputable breeder, or adopt. The pet store near our house had a female cairn, exact markings as our male, and she was only $650- the male they were selling was $600. My wife and I got ripped off and we'd hate to hear about someone else being treated this way. Pros: Selection was varied. Cons: Dirty, smells, no a/c downstairs, puppies stay in tiny crates more than one to each crate, overpriced compared to their competitors in the area. more

Great Customer Service 4/29/2008

I bought a kitten from this store and she is now 17 years old. Has always been healthy. These people try to place mutt kittens in good homes. No Body breeds mutt kittens on purpose. How can you say someone bred a domestic short hair kitten on purpose? The animal shelters have to euthanize 300 or 400 kittens a month and are overwhelmed. People should get their cats fixed so there are not too many kittens. This store has had many animals dumped in boxes on their back porch and has always found homes for them. Pros: They really care. more

BAD BAD BAD DO NOT BUY HERE 4/14/2008

I just bought a kitten this past weekend and had her taken to the vet to be checked out, sadly they determined she was positive for feline aids (FIV) and I could not keep her in the same house with my other cat for risk of infection. She was only 9 weeks old, the poor baby. Which means the breeders they got her from bred infected cats. She had a brother that was sold too so those people might have an infected kitten too and not know it. They gave me a shot and test record, but they were not tested for FIV or FeLV, the 2 major cat diseases. They gave me my money back for the cat, but that does not compensate for the heartache and the vet bills as well as the risk to my cat at home. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE!!!!! more

Avoid cats here 4/14/2008

We purchased an adorable kitten here 2 days ago. Although the kitten had ear mites, we were assured that this common problem was easily treated. We learned the worst today from our vet that the kitten is infected with feline AIDS - the FIV virus. Apparently neither Animal House nor the cat "breeder" bothered to confirm that they were selling a healthy cat. The vet said that the FIV virus is passed from the mother cat to the kittens. The Animal House contract states "We offer no guarantee and are not responsible for any veterinarian bills." Thankfully, when we returned the kitten, they refunded the price. I would never buy another animal here. Cons: They sell sick animals more
