Angelbare

After years of overplucking my eyebrows, I was left with very sparse brows. Then, as I began to age the color faded. Eyebrows are the picture frame of our face. Without them your face has very little definition. For years I used eyebrow powder, but on hot summer days this would wear off rather quickly. I always had to be careful not to wipe my brows, or could not get my face wet if I went swimming. I was very self conscience of this, but didn't know what to do about it. \r Through a friend I heard about Shahla and Angelbare. My daughter and I decided to get our eyebrows tattooed. That was a year and 1/2 ago. We go about every 6 mos. For a touchup. The discomfort is minimal and Shahla always makes us laugh. People cannot tell that my eyebrows are tattooed. When I tell them they can't believe it. I wish I knew about this procedure years ago. I realize that people have bigger issues than their eyebrows, but I'm a firm believer that if something makes you feel better about yourself, you need to take care of it. This is one of the best things I've done for myself. I do not know how I lost my eyebrows. Over 15 years ago I bought my first eyebrow pencil,and once my friend said someone in Newton was very good. I felt very relaxed talking to Shahla. I did not want to go to somebody’s house or a tattoo parlor, so I choose Angelbare because it is a private office and therefore I feel more comfortable. I love the way she did my brows. She practically gave me an eyebrow lift. I look much younger and keep looking at myself in the mirror. Before leaving Angelbare, I said thank you and gave her a huge hug. I was recommended by my Doctor from the Mass Eye and Ear. I have been thinking about permanent eyeliner for the past three years. At my age everything is starting to fade. I was thinking about getting eyeliner for so long. I move around a lot and sweat, so my eyeliner starts running. Shahla, the instructor at Angelbare, gave me a demonstration, which I loved, and showed me that I only needed lash enhancement (basically adding color to the base of my lashes), not eyeliner. Shahla was very patient with me and explained what she was going do to before she did it. I finally felt more relaxed when I realized she was more concerned about making me look good, than making a quick buck selling me something I didn’t need (lash enhancement was cheaper than what I came in for originally). The treatment was relatively comfortable, but totally worth it. I really love the way it looks. I’m just so glad I found her, and highly recommend her work! more

I am 19 years old and am busy with college and work. My eyebrows are thin and I started using pencils to fill it out since my sophomore year of high school. I found out about permanent makeup through a friend and searched and found Angelbare. I love the way they came out. I feel a lot more confident and everyone really likes it. Getting tired of listening to me complaining about the time and poor results of penciling in my eyebrows my sister gave me a gift certificate to have them ""tatooed"" @ Anglebare. I was very skeptical; however after reviewing their web site, talking on the phone with Shala and a lot of prodding from my sister and my friends, the appointment was made! Yes, I was a nervious wreck; however, it truly is an easy proceedure. Shala works with you to make sure she understands what you are looking for and what your expectations are. She makes every effort to achieve those results and explains what she's doing and why. Also, she will tell you if she thinks your choice of color or shape may not be best suited for you. The proceedure is not terribly uncomfortable and takes less than 30 minutes. And, believe it or not my sister hopped right onto the salon bed and had her's done right after me. The recovery is painless but you must be prepared to follow instructions, ice for the first day and keep the area vaselined. (Doing so will prevent any potenial scabbing which could result in loss of pigmentation). It did take me a while to get use to seeing eyebrows and to get thru the first few weeks of what I preceived as intense color. It's been a few months now and I am very use to the look as it seems to have softened and it definetly looks very natural. Love it ..... so much so both my sister and I had Shala line our upper and lower lids and now my sister just had her lips done. Well worth the effort and minor discomfort for the end result. Lips and eyes just pop right out looking natural and not made up. And, such a time saver! Of course finishing the look by enchancing it with a little foundation and blush will only take a few minutes for perfection! GO FOR IT LADIES!!!! The only negative thing that could be said is Shala definetly needs an assistance to help out with the administrative end of her business. more

I used to have big bushy eyebrows and when I was in high school I would pluck and shave them down. I kept doing that up until last year when I noticed them becoming very thin. Eventually it got TOO thin so I made a rash decision to shave them all off because they were growing back so unevenly. I?ve heard about permanent makeup to fill in the empty spots so I started researching, my main goal was to find a nice shop and NOT a tattoo shop. I found Angelbare and I saw the difference between the usual tattooed eyebrow and the work the owner had done. It was so realistic when looking at the pictures. I decided to go ahead with the procedure and have my eyebrows done and WOW! I loved it so much that I jumped up and gave Shahla a big hug, it was kind of funny, regardless I left with a huge smile, and once again have to say a big thank you to Angelbare! I am 58, when I was 16 I had an overly prominent brow. As I plucked them to shape it better, I removed too much. I let them to grow back, only few came back and I start using eyebrow pencil for 35 years. Color was off and most of the time my eyebrow shape was uneven. One of my friends suggested getting eyebrow tattoo, I did not want to go to tattoo pilot for my face. I searched and found Angelbare. I've been having Shahla do my eyeliner and eyebrows for a several years now. Since my skin and hair it very pale I have to have a touchup every couple of years. I was a little nervous at first, but through the process, I realized she knows exactly what she is doing. What I like most about her work is her attention to detail and that its doesn't look like my brows are ""painted on"". They look very natural. She has a large portfolio of before and after pictures to look at and really took the time to demonstrate to me the most beneficial look. I had been penciling my eyebrows for 15 years and feel uncomfortable about it. I was not sure I looked good and not even after having spent a good amount of time on it. One day my sister said for me to get my eyebrows done. I looked into it and found a place with the most experience. I am very happy with the shape and color. I look younger and prettier. It is very frasturating to see places like the ""Angelbare"" are still open to the public.Poor service , uncleanliness,unorganized !!!!!! simply it is just a place that u cannot trust .I hope that people who are in charge for that kind of matters will take the right decisions and shut them off!!!! more
