During the fall of 2007, we took our just recently fully restored boat to this company to have the engine inspected for damage (cracks) due to water expansion as the boat wasn't winterized on time before weather freezing temperatures arrived. We were provided with a quote of just short of $5,000 to have the engine block and 2 new manifolds that were cracked replaced as well as full winterization and storage of the boat during the winter until spring. We provided them with a $3,000 deposit to have the service done and left the boat there during the winter season as they have suggested, with the remainder of the agreed price to be paid upon retrieval of the repaired boat in the spring. On the spring when we went there to pick the boat up, we discovered that the boat wasn't covered properly (shrink wrap) prior to storage and water was present in the interior of the boat. In addition to the cabin interior water damage (mold, mildew, stains) the window hatch was broken due to improper handling. After several unsuccessful attempts to have the water damage and window repaired by them, we have agreed with the store manager (Dave) on May 4th 2008 to have us perform the cleaning of the mold/mildew from the carpet and upholstery on our own with a corresponding reduction in price of the remainder payment that was due. The agreement was also made that he was going to personally order a new window hatch to replace the broken one (value of approx. $400), which has never materialized. Innumerous follow up calls and visits have been made to the store (in excess of 30) in the last 4 months to check the status of the window hatch order, and even today (Sep 3) Dave continues to promise that he is working on it but hasn't receive it yet.\r
Not to mention that they crashed our trailer and damaged the side light during multiple attempts to deliver us the boat with water inside!!
Cons: too many to list
