don't waste your time, they are great up front but when something goes wrong they want to charge you $129 service fee to come and check it out, even under warranty, should have listened to the other reviews before doing business with them, won't make that mistake again. more

Purchased a gas fireplace insert from them in 2000. Have had lots of problems with it. Call for service. They make an appointment, and then don't show. They show, and supposedly fix the unit only for it to stop working a couple of days later. Will never purchase anything through ANC again. Cannot have anyone else service it because it is too old now and no one else can get the parts. Will be getting a new unit...from someone else. more

I recently had some work performed for my relative as I was unable to do it myself, of which I was quoted $100 as I had the part.Once the job was done, the bill was $300 more then I was quoted. I was told that there were parts that were needed, which I know were not as I am the one who installed the entire system. Then they charged my relative over $150 for a thermostat, something that I could have got from lowes for $29. I called ANC and spoke to managers and the owner only to be told that I needed to wake up, that costs are not cheap anymore. I said I do not complain about costs when they are fair. I said I was the one who called in the work and I should have been consulted, not my relative. That did not matter to them, all I got was that the repair guys should have been told no or that the price/work was not agreed to, again no one called me. So a job for $100 was now $400 thanks to this place. I get that services cost, but well, you be the judge. This is not just about cost, it is about how you treat those who you service. this run around was not warrented and ANC did nothing to accomodate in any way. Just the attitude that 'it is just the way it is now a days'. more
