We had to fight so American Family would use the good parts in our new car. Heather took four days to call us back on this. Why should we have ti fight on not having them use reconditioned parts? We gave them over $10,000 the last few years and we had to fight with Heather and this company so they wouldn't use re-conditioned parts more

I had called and called because my home in Ashtabula, Ohio went up to $890. Heather told me she could raise my deductible to $2500, but my loan company which is the US Government wouldn't allow that. Good thing because I went to Hastings Insurance and they were three hundred per year less on the home and they gave me four times the auto coverage and it was still less money. I called several times the beginning of April before Heather called me back. Good riddence! My house payment dropped close to $30 per month to get rid of them. Pros: Dont go there Cons: $$$$$ Price and Service $$$$$ more

My rates went way up. Heather never called us to tell us in advance that we were having a rate increase on our cars and our house. It increased a few hundred a year. I recently had my truck towed to a shop to get it fixed because I was paying for road service on my policies. The shop couldn't fix it and it was in a really bad neighborhood. I then decided to get it towed home so my truck wasn't stolen. Heather complained to us after we drove 40 minutes to her office that we made a tow call. I thought that is why we bought insurance! I was sick of Heather's attitude. We are supposed to pay her so she can treat us like dirt. She should have picked up the tow reciepts from us. She also has a really bad reputation in our community. When she made us mad we started calling other companies for rates. we found better coverages for one half the rates. We saved $1100 per year to get rid of Heather and her high bills. There are a few reviews listed here that are very unfavorable for my agency. Although I am unable to remove them, I believe they were generated by a disgruntled ex-coworker and they are untrue. We treat every client with respect and always take care of their requests in a timely manner. There may be times when rates go up but we do everything we can to notify our clients well in advance and look for options to bring them back down without reducing their coverage. I called Heather to ask her to cancel my policy and she refused. I then called the company and they patched me over to her managers office. They assured me it would be taken care of. (I saved $990 per year to leave this company with two cars and a home policy). Heather then sent me a rude nasty message because she didn't do her job and I called the company because she didnt cancel my policies as I requested. The last time I ran into her she was in the grocery store and she was drunk. She is immature and nasty. I can't believe she is in a management type of capacity after the ways she has treated us. She tried to double my rates after my agent gave me what I had asked for in coverages. My agent quit American Family and they gave me to her secretary, Heather. Heather told me that I had to have more coverage and told me that she needs me to drive to her 45 minutes to review my auto policy. I quit this women who thinks she can just up my rates for her private pocketbook! Cons: EXPENSIVE more

THESE WOMEN ARE JUST RUDE. I ASKED IF I COULD ADD MY GIRLFRIEND TO MY POLICY AND RACHEL NEVER ADDED HER. HEATHER WAS SNIPPY WITH ME ON THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED ABOUT RACHELS ATTITUDE. ISN'T THIS WHAT THEY GET PAID FOR? THE HORRIBLE PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT THEY ARE MY THIRD AGENTS THIS YEAR WITH AMERICAN FAMILY INSURANCE! AGENTS ALL QUIT OR GET FIRED WITH THIS COMPANY AND THESE TWO ARE BRAND NEW WITH THESE ATTITUDES. I FOUND INSURANCE FOR HALF THE PRICE AFTER CALLING AN INDEPENDANT AGENT DOWN THE STREET.
