Carl provides a great service with great equipment, highly recommend. And for Mr jay Carson and his little crew of misfits, carl's boat did in fact break Down and jay was referred to us, boat was in great condition when it left and came back broken, tore my boat up, and had the audacity to say it was not their fault, didn't want to pay for damages and was a real piece of crap!!!! People have an option of renting from another company.. Good luck getting a boat last minute. Aloha is a great service... Great guy and very hospitable, accommodates to the best of his ability, and provides customers with a time to make great memories with their families and friends. more

This company is NOT closed! We needed a jet ski and pontoon rental this weekend and they are open and available. Not sure why this site says they are closed. Company is right outside of the park. Thank you Carl, not only did my wife and I have a great time and great experience with the rental, when we decided to buy jet skis of our own he directed us on the types and where to buy from. After our rental we were on the lake on our own jet skis, and my wife lost the car keys, Carl kept me company, offered us water, and allowed us to use his cell phone while we were waiting for the locksmith. He also helped me secure the jetskis while we waited and gave me tips on how perform maintenance and where to go to get parts and service. While I was waiting I watched him interact with a family that had never ridden a jetski before and he was very patient with them and taught them how to ride it. They seemed to have a blast. We rented a pantoon boat and right off the bat the ""boss"" was rude, mean and threatning. Although they appear cheaper, they will make up reasons to charge your credit card extra. \r We got on the boat and ended up dropping anchor about half a mile out off of the ramp. People took turns riding the jetski and we were just hanging out for about 3.5 hrs of our 4 hr rental. 30 min before we were supposed to return the jetski broke and we had to tow it the half mile back to the ramp. When we got back to the boat rental place, they guy said he was going to charge us $250 for having and extra person on the boat and towing a jetski. FYI, the law says that you have to help a stranded boater who is in distress. The owner ended up charging an additional $50 to the credit card based on his made up rule. \r We will file complaints with the Lewisville Chaimber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau and calling the credit card company to dispute an unauthorized charge. Save time, money and head ache and rent from a reputable source. This place is NOT cheaper in the end! Made up fees is how they stay in business . more

We had a great time this weekend at Lake Lewisville. It was our 25th Wedding Anniversary and our daughter wanted to treat us to a ""first time"" jet ski excursion so we headed out to Lake Lewisville. With no reservation, she called Aloha and they were so friendly and allowed us to rent from them without a reservation. It really made our day. Our husband and I will never forget this weekend. My family and I went out to the lake Saturday morning and rented jet skis from Aloha and had a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not only was the staff friendly but the equipment was very nice and seemed to be brand new. We will definitely be back again very soon. Thank you for making it a fun experience. more

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!! This owner, Carl, is shady and unprofessional. He will try to tell you that he is the lowest priced on the lake and has the best boats and equipment. WRONG! I rented with this guy, Carl, and he forced me to pay for a driver, which I did not ask for. He also got us out on the lake 20 minutes late and still charged us the full 4hrs. Then, after I decided not to tip the driver for being late, the Owner, Carl, called me the next day and chewed me out with disrespectful comments and said that he was going to just take the tip from my credit card that I had provided for the rental. Just ridiculous, this guy. His operation is terrible! Let me save you the headache. I've been looking at his reviews here and on Google and Yellow Pages. It seems obvious to me that he is padding his overall review ratings with 5 star reviews to offset his negative feedback. more

Go to facebook and seach Aloha Hydro Sports you would be suprised what you may find.... I know I was\r \r to read all the post that were left about these people and how they do business... They are scam artist that just want your cc info or cash deposit. Yes an occasional 4-5 people might get on per day but they will definantly bump you for tha next person, especially if they already have your payment secure!!! Just watch ouit... Me and my 3 children ( on of which is blind and has anoxic brain damage) were out for a fun filled labor day.... looking forward to getting my babies out on the lake for the day.I contacted this company Sunday morining and asked if he had a SKI Boat avaliable and he said... Yes I do @ 4 oclock. I explained to him that I did have a daughter with special needs and it would be really hard to have her out all day and into the night so could he guaruntee my reservation. I also inquired about the all day rate and he told me for $550 cash he could bump the other person and just tell them something came up. I said no... that is ok and just stayed with my 4 oclock although by now I was questioning his character. Anyhow... wanted a fun day so I pack up my babies and we drive 1 1/2 hours to get to lake lewisville... We arrive @ around 12 and the game plan was going to be play @ the beach for a couple of hours then go get in the boat... NOPE ... they had another plan. Get my cc info, bill me , and never show up....Anyways so when we get down there I call and speak with a young lady and just explained to her that I had a bad feeling and just wanted to reconfirm the reservation I had just made 1 hour ago. She confirmed and recomfimed that they had me in a SKI boat @ 4 pm and to meet them around 330 for paper work. @ 3:15 he calls me and says can you take a Poontoon Boat... I said No, I could have gotten a poontoon boat anywhere ... I wanted a ski boat... I explained the importance in this as the normal prep time for our family is a little different and I expressed this to him on numerous occasions. so they call me back and say that the boat is not going to be avaliable anymore today... but were willing to work me a deal on anther weeked... this is 30 minutes before my reservation... So because I knew how important it was I asked about jet skis... He said yes ... he would bump someone else and give me a jet ski for 2 hours.... R U SERIOUS!!!! What TYPE OF BUSINESS IS THIS???? Now he took my money and didnt give me a boat, jet ski... and then told me ... Write a bad report I dont care... You are only one person.... Well Mr. Aloha... I am one extreemly driven woman with nothing but time on my hands. I will personally make sure you upcoming weekends suck as bad as you made ours suck!!!! We wanted to go out on the lake on Memorial Day but were on a tight budget, so we were delighted to find Aloha Boat Rental. They were prompt, on time, provided clear explanations, and made the entire rental process very easy. The owner runs the entire operation by himself, so if you want a boat on a holiday or weekend be sure that you set up the reservation ahead of time, because he may be to busy to do spend a lot of time on the phone on the day itself. i was looking to rent a boat for memorial day weekend. i called about a month a head of time and the owner told me that someone else had wanted to use one of his boats, but he hadn't been able to get the time locked in yet. he said, ""go ahead and let me know if you want the morning or afternoon, so that you will at least have a reservation""...and i did so, and was told to meet him the next week so that i could pay for it up front. I didn't hear anything for a week or so and finally called and was told, "" we might have a problem. right now i don't have a boat for you"". he then told me that, ""his business partner had written the other guy's time down wrong and that was the mix up"". after talking to him for the 4th time it was pretty clear that this is a one man shop, and that a reservation doesn't mean anything to this guy. do not use this guy. he is unprofessional and doesn't seem to know how to run a business. net-net he basically bumped me for a D-list country singer, who i've never heard of (and i listen to country), but he somehow thought that i would be impressed that i was bumped for this non-famous singer. if you're looking to rent a boat, i would recommend anywhere else, but this guy. I recently rented a ski boat over memorial day weekend, and had the time of my life! Seriously. The kind of day that takes you a few days to remember lol! So above and beyond the great service and communication I recieved from Carl. He went the extra step by calling me back to remind me I had left my damn shoe on the boat! Carl is very easy to work with, and he is always trying to give the best deal. He is dependable and is always willing to work out any potential problems you may have. We have rented from him several times and have never had a problem. He always gives the deposit back right away and never charges more than he says he is going to charge. We ignored the reviews and rented the boat for couple of hours and thats when we realized our mistake \r \r We made reservations on phone and he mentioned it is going to be $150, howvever when we gave our credit card he charged us $200. He told us that he'll give us back the rest of the money afterwards. Needless to say that he never did that\r \r The boat stopped after sometime in the middle of the lake and we had to get someone's help to get it to the gas station. \r \r This guy doesn't really know how to run business. We had rented a pontoon boat for memorial day on lake lewisville with another agency. After we were out about 1 1/2 hours the guy came up to us and told us we had to go back because it looked like something was wrong with the boat. After going back he told us we wouldnt be able to use boat and had to find someone else to rent to us. We found aloha and the guy there got us into the water on a boat fast. He also told us the best spots on the lake to go and gave us rides to our vehicles. Great customer service. Pros: quickly got us into water more
