Randy ordered my stove and said two weeks. Arrived on time. Delivery men were excellent. Had to have a gas valve installed and so they could not put in that delivery day but came back and did a great job if installing and uninstalling the old stove. I had a lot of stairs and wood floors. No scratches. more

Great selection, great service, and price pretty darn competitive with the big box stores. Next day delivery and installation for most of Anchorage, twice a week for Chugiak where I live. The prices are marginally higher than the big stores I was looking at but they had a huge selection in stock. I would have had to wait a couple weeks for delivery from anyone else. Not what I needed with a broken dishwasher! Will definitely be looking at Allen & Petersen for my next appliance. more

Allen & Petersen sold us a couple of appliances with a determination to be more competitive than the big box stores. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Overall, it was exactly the sort of experience I'd hope to get from a local company versus the larger generic stores. more

I went in to buy a dishwasher in the Anchorage store. The salesman was very helpful. he showed me only dishwashers in my requested price range. He did not pressure me into a more expensive model. He was very knowledgeable about the options I had to choose from. more

I was very pleased to discover all the cooking supplies that the store offered. It was my first time in the store and I was there to purchase a replacement filter for the refrigerator. The store was out of the filter I needed. The manager instructed me to return the next day and she would have the replacement for me. I made purchases that day which allowed me to leave my contact information. I returned for the replacement filter and the manager said very nonchalantly 'oh, i forgot' and kept her nose buried in the computer. They had my contact information from my previous purchase and I thought it would have been a great customer service opportunity to give me a call and say 'sorry your replacment filter isn't in'. The gentlemen was very apologetic when I returned and offered to call me when it did arrive. I thanked him but informed him that I would find the filter elsewhere as I had already returned to the store for no reason. The next day after we picked up the range we found we needed a piece to fill a hole at the back of the range. I went in to see if this was something you offered. I gave the girl at the counter every bit of information about myself and she could not find my paperwork. I walked out. It was very disappointed to special order something, pay over 1,000.00 for it and then within 24 be a nobody standing at your desk. I probably would not return and purchase again unless I had no choice. I used Allen & Peterson Cooking & Appliance Center for the first time, and Randy, the salesman, is the most knowledgeable person I've ever met on appliances. He was like a walking text book! I ordered a double oven from them, replacing a single oven. When the installers pulled out the old oven, they found the junction box was below the limit of where the double oven could go in. The installer was great. He spent 5 hours relocating it, and he was polite and courteous. He cleaned up after himself, and you can't ask more than that! I told my friend not to go anywhere but there! more

Any time I need either a large or small appliance I check out A&P first! They had what I wanted and matched the big guy's offer from out of state. They are knowledgeable, and are up on the ins and out of shipping in the State of Alaska. What a wonderful place to have in our city! more
