The Alexander didn't have my date available but I used their other location Cappella Court. They really helpped me plan my wedding from out of the country. I thought planning my wedding from Italy was going to be overwhelming and was happy to find a place that took care of so many of the details for me. They made my planning easy with tons of emails with photos and drawings and a long meeting with the coordinator and owner when I arrived back in the country just days before my wedding. Everything was amazing from the food and cakes to the coordinator and the little details. Their owner Sandra helped with a lot of the details and designing, their dj Tom made the reception fun, their coordinator Diane organized every minute. When I walked into this place, I called my mom and told her I was in love. It is beautiful and perfect for a wedding. I got so many compliments after my wedding!!! I had an overall good experience but unfortunately wasn't totally satisfied. There was A LOT of miscommunication with the coordinators and the owner with my mother and I and caused a lot of problems in the planning.. Not only that but the owner took down my cake order and the cake was not the way I wanted it for the wedding. I was SO excited to get to the venue and see my cake and when I saw it, I didn't have the ""omg it's beautiful"" feeling that I hoped for. The colors of the cake were all wrong. So that was disappointing but I didn't let it ruin my day! Not only that but during my wedding, we told the venue there would be 140 guests and they were not organized and ready for that many people. There were only 120 seats put out so as people showed up they were having to bring out more chairs. Also, my coordinator started my ceremony 20 minutes late which put us way behind schedule when it came down to it we didnt have much time for partying and dancing and she was very rude to my family bc some of them could not make it to rehearsal and she also kept arguing with my DJ during the reception about what order we were going to do things which really pissed me off bc instead of being able to enjoy my reception and talk to friends and family I kept getting pulled aside by my DJ and coordinator to tell them what i wanted even though it was written on paper.. We paid to be able to be there until 11 PM and my coordinator was trying to rush everyone out at 20 til. more

MY WEDDING WAS WONDERFUL! I just got married at The Alexander Mansion a week ago and just back from my relaxing and exciting honeymoon. I just couldn?t believe how the staff at The Alexander made all my wedding dreams come true! Everything was exactly as I had imagined it! I booked my wedding with them because they have a beautiful place and the best prices for everything they include, their alcohol was 25% lower than anywhere else I looked, so I was expecting less than perfect, but my wedding and reception looked like I spent thousands more than I did! The decorations were beautiful, the food was amazing, the DJ kept my guest on the dance floor, the coordinator was on top of everything and OMG the cake!!!! I just had my wedding there and I have nothing but wonderful things to say, I am troubled that this one bride on here just keeps using other screen names to cover and to slam a wonderful business. THE ALEXANDER HAS WONDERFUL COORDINATORS AND STAFF, and at their request every Bride that has a wedding there is being sent to this website to give true actual facts about the experience and the way they were treated, I was treated like a Princess from the time I book until the time I left their facility. HONESTLY these websites should be helpful but as you can see by reading them they can also be used in a revengeful way, ATTENTION ALL BRIDES TO BE< BE YOUR OWN JUDGE AND REMEMBER THERE ALL ALWAYS TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY!! The confused bride in all her false posting can not be taken to heart lets face it she's angry and out for revenge don't let her revenge keep you from a very wonderful wedding and at a very affordable price..you owe it to yourself to get a first hand view of the staff, I did and they are nothing as BRIDZILLA describes sometime certain people just can not be please not matter what lengths you go to.. summing this up I had a wonder experience and I would not have wanted anything else they were absolutley GREAT!! I have read the last review that someone wrote and to be honest...I got married there not to long ago and I WOULD NOT recommend this place...I WOULD NOT want someone to go through what I went though with this place of business. I have read the reviews posted and find it obsurd that one disgruntled bride would use this forum for her ""OPINION"" and her lack of respect for all other Brides to be able to read factual information not just one bride posting the same 'OPINION' over and over under differrent user names, obviously again did not read the terms of this website as it appears she did not read the contract the facililty provided either. As a bride that was married at the Alexander I am offended that you would continue your personal issue over a public forum for information about a facility especially the facility that I just got married in. The Alexander Mansion and staff was nothing more than the best. They attended every need, always willing to lend a hand answer questions and as a Bride, there are always questions, I think I called them every other day, never once did I recieve ""crappy service"" they went above and beyond to make my wedding the perfect one! I loved the place and it was absolutely stunning the night of my wedding, I had the best coordinator the facility had she did everything in a professional and very courteous manner. I am not sure who this one bride is under serval postings but as a intelligent person as you read the posting you see ""revenge"" all over them! Please disregard this bride and read the factual info, not all of them say it was the best , but they have only posted one time with thier experience. I have nothing but great thing to say about the Alexander Mansion, get your own opinion these forums can be very misleading. We all have heard of the show ""BRIDZILLA"", I believe there is one on this forum. Again, The Alexander Mansion was the best place I could have chosen and thier staff was wonderful!! Let me add when you sign a contact you should know what you are signing and you should do as you contracted, via payments, etc., and as I was told from the staff at the Alexander get everything in writing so you are not confused at what is to take place. I DO NOT recommend this place, save your money and go somewhere else. The staff there are very sweet, UNTIL the contract is signed then they turn evil. They were not helpful and disipointed me grately. I felt that I could not relax because I didn't feel that they had my best interest at heart. Outstanding Job! I cannot say ennough how wonderful the Alexander Mansion was, all the staff and people involved. We had a great time! OMG! I am going to sound like a child discribing her first trip to Disney World the fairytale come true! I had the most awesome time my wedding was in the evening and the setting was so romantic! I had there DJ and Jennifer was my coordinator, the girl knows her stuff! From the time I arrived to the time I left everything was taken care of, I mean everything! I thought that this was a perfect place to have my wedding now I have the memories of how perfect it actually was. The staff at the Alexander Mansion was amazing, my parents actually got to enjoy the wedding and receptions and did not have to do anything through out the event. Jennifer did such an outstanding job, didn't miss a beat! She did everything perfect all the way to the little fine details we had discussed at finalization appointment. She had me and my family laughing and having such a great time, nothing I ask of her was to much she was right there and very sweet to everyone, she work with the DJ and the DJ got the party going, I didn't think that my group would dance but the Alexander DJ proved me wrong! What a night I will remember this and be able to tell everyone what a wonderful place The Alexander Mansion was to have my wedding at! Staff members writing fabricated reviews over the customer experience at their own place of employment ? How unethical is this place in an attempt of posting false customer accounts to cover up the real customers who recieved poor customer service? Very unethical. This is a lovely place to have a wedding.... but be prepared to be treated like dirt! My sister's wedding was beautiful but the treatment she received by Miss Jennifer Brown was uncalled for. This place has a lot to learn about how to TACTFULLY treat a paying client. Brides beware! Bring your paperwork with you every time to go to this place and know that Miss Brown will yell at you and you will never be apologized to for it. If you talk to anyone at this establishment by phone get their name and write down the time you spoke with the person and all details. This is your best defense against being bullied by the owner and Miss Brown. I watched in HORROR as both the owner and Miss Brown yelled and be littled my sister infront of my family and the entire wedding party. My children were horrified and I was angered at the treatment of a paying customer. BESURE that you read the fine print on your contract!!!! They state that you will have to pay their attorneys fees if you should take them to court -- what kind of a place puts a statement like that in their contract?! A friend of mine contacted me to read the reviews that the Alexander Mansion was getting from what appears to be one bride who seemed to be very confused in her blog. It sounds crazy crazy..I had my wedding there and I know serveral people who recommended me to this facility, not just for a wedding but because the school banquet was held there and other one of my close friends had there sisters eighth grade dance there, the place is remarkable, the person mention below was the person I delt with almost 4 years ago and has been there for quite some time, my little sister is now getting married there and she has experience the same wonderful service as did I. I had her as my coordinator 4 years ago and she is nothing as this bride has indicated. Just wanted to share my opion which is very different from the blogs below. Pros: Great overall service!! more

This is a wonderful place to have your wedding, I could not have ask for a better experience and a more amazing time. My parents did not have to stress over anything they stayed with me and enjoyed the time before and during the wedding. I had thier DJ and thier floral package which turned out great! Our wedding party danced and had so much fun, we had used thier recommended photographer Duncan's Photography, he did an outstanding job on my pictures and the photo album he created for us was the best, it captured every moment perfectly. The Alexander staff was incredible, down to every last detail. The coordinator was wonderful and took care of everything. I just read the review posted below and was VERY shock to hear this bride was unhappy, because I met with Jennifer several times through out my planning, she did our cake appointment and answer all of our questions with alot of knowledge of the business, and not one time on anything was she ever rude, even when my mom forgot to make a payment she was very helpful and let us make arrangements. I would like to add that if anyone is considering The Alexander Mansion, please don't take the advice of ONE unhappy bride, who it looks like has posted several complaints under different names but go to the facility and as they showed me they have alot of cards and thank you notes that were addressed to Jennifer and her staff. Also, go to weddingwire and read the great reviews on the staff and The Alexander Mansion. As a bride who just had my wedding thier I would not wont anyone to believe that the place I got married at was nothing more than the best!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE: I had my wedding here and this place treated me terrible. My coordinator Jennifer Brown has a huge attitude and yelled at me when my wedding party was there and told me that I got the date of my rehearsal wrong and that she is right. When I asked for an apology for the way that I had been treated she said that I yelled at her which I did not, considering my ENTIRE family and friends were there as witnesses. & she said that I had problems and issues. & That she wasn't yelling at me, she was being ""stern"" with me. When I asked if I could be assigned a different coordinator she of course said that she was the Operations Manager so she will not allow me to get another coordinator. She said it would do no good for me to write a letter of complaint either since she reads all of the complaints/ and letters, I was just wasting my time. I think the Alexander Mansion needs to pay for her to take some classes in learning how to provide good Customer Service. This place is BAD BAD BAD in customer satisfaction and they don't care about anything other than getting paid and getting your wedding over with. After booking the alexander mansion over a year ago a friend told me about some bad reviews online. I did get a little concerened but never had any bad experiences with the staff. In fact it was the opposite. They were so friendly, and organized and I felt very comfortable with one of the most important days of my life in their hands. My mom told me not to worry about the reviews that usually people only go online to write a review if they are angry about something. She pointed out that they do hundreds of weddings and that when you deal with that many people that most likely you will not make everyone happy and that their are two sides to every story. At that moment I made a promise that if my experience was good I would tell the world so thats what I am doing. Everything was so amazing and my wedding cake and grooms cake was so incredibly beautiful even better than I had imagined. I felt so special on my wedding day. It was flawless! more

The event coordinator that i was assigned to for my wedding is unprofessional & has attitude. I had booked the DJ service w/ them but the very next day I called to cancel the DJ service only because I found out that my family had already booked a DJ service for me for a fraction of the price that the Alexander Mansion was going to charge me. I was yelled at and was given attitude when I called & asked for a refund on the DJ-they did give me a refund on it but she was VERY rude about it. I was told over the telephone the dates and times of my cake tasting, my rehearsal, and finalization appointment which I wrote down and repeated back to her to verify the dates. However, The rehearsal date and finanization date that they gave me were wrong. When I had my wedding party and family members arrive at the date of the reharsal the coordinator yelled at me because she told me that I got the date wrong. She explained that I cannot have my rehearsal before I have a finalization appointment which I was unaware of. Granted, the finalization appointment was written down on the contract but its actually worded that the date is the last date you can upgrade or add on additional services-But on the papers that they give you to read over; it says you can schedule your rehearsal anytime you want. Because of the error, I was yelled at by her & all of my family and wedding party heard her yell at me. When I called the following Monday; I spoke w/ her over the telephone & I told her I was going to write a letter complaining about how I was treated unless I get an apology; she instead said she is not apologizing for MY error nor is she apologizing for yelling at me. She told me I was making a big deal out of nothing. She preceded to yell at me again at this point telling me that I ""have problems"" & that she is being ""stern"" with me & she said that I was harrassing her & that I am not the only Natalie getting married at the Alexander mansion. This place is a beautiful place to get married in however the people of the Alexander mansion have horrible customer service & treat their customers very unprofessionally. The staff of the Alexander mansion are very unorganized. If you book this place for your wedding make sure that you get EVERYTHING IN WRITING. I WOULD NOT recommend the Alexander Mansion to any of my brides, mothers of the bride, my clients, collegues or anyone period. I am a member of several wedding organizations and I have to say that the Alexander Mansion is not professional or ethical. I have had several calls from the unprofessional coordinators that only care what they want to have happen. I was spoken to in a condescending manner, told to arrive an hour an a half after the contracted time, and set up ""my little horse and carriage thingy"". I called my client back and she cannot do what she wanted either. I was originally to ride the guests around for the reception and now I can only take the bride and groom for a short ride at the end. Something seroiusly needs to change with the management of this facility! If they speak to vendors this way what will they do to their brides?
