I can't even begin to tell you how horrible this place is. I put a dress on layaway as some brides will do before making the actual purchase or even getting it fitted (no special orders, right off the rack). I decided not to go with Alessandra's and I'm so glad I didn't. I came to the store, not to ask for my deposit back from the layaway but to get a dress for my mother using that deposit-store still keeps my money, and I as a customer still uses your venue/recommends you to others. Oh no, not Alessandra's! They honor nothing, especially their customers. They refused to let me use the deposit toward my mothers dress or refund my deposit but kept calling me not once but twice to come back and get the dress fitted. I don't even want the dress! So you keep my money and expect for me to return to get the wedding dress! Wow! Stay away from this place. They are no good. more

Well, I assumed it wasn't just me. To Paris: It has nothing to do with your size. I am a 4 and was treated terribly as well. Everything was perfect (mostly) until the owner stepped in. She tried to blame me for blood on the dress that no one saw but herself. Her seamstress told me she did not take the bust in and the owner accused me of losing inches off my bust in 3 days. Don't you think my bra would no longer fit? more

BIG MISTAKE.... the staff and owner Alessandra was rude. I felt Extremely uncomfortable. At first I was very excited to be working with Nina the sales rep. but after my first fitting the owner stepped in to assist me. Ugh what really bothered me was her speaking Italian to the other staff while they did my alterations. Second, I didn't care for her nonchalant attitude. I've tried to have a positive attitude during every visit but each time was no different because of the extremely awful staff. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. First, I thought it was a RACE ISSUE but that wasn't it at all, it was a body issue. NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR A BRIDE THAT'S A SIZE 12 PLUS..... THEY WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY! more

Horrible experience. When I was planning my wedding I walked out of this store because they were extremely pushy. A friend of mine asked me to stand up in her wedding and then bought her dress & picked out bridesmaids dresses from Alessandra Bridal. They allowed her to make us get sized & order the dresses nearly a year before the wedding date, which is way to soon! They talked the other girls into ordering dresses 2 sizes larger than they really needed, which would make the alteration charges that much more costly to size them back down. Then the wedding was called off and the bridal shop refused to allow any kind of refund. The dresses were expensive. They told me the dresses were already ordered and they claimed they couldn't call to stop the order. They also said it would be 3 months for the dresses to come in. After 3 months came & went I called to find out where the dresses were and they told me it would be nearly another 2 months before the expected arrival date of the order. Sounds to me like someone lied to make a big sale. I highly recommend going elsewhere. more

This is an exceptional salon. Very attentive staff with true expertise in body type, style and tailoring. I have purchased formal dresses from Birmingham to the Bloomfields, from Chicago and Tampa. I will attest that this boutique is world class. If you are not a demanding Bridezilla and offer patience and courtesy, the associates at Alessandra will bend-over backwards to help you find your perfect gown.\r The Brides I saw being fitted were treated like princesses. The mothers beamed in their own gowns. My own seamstress was helpful, reassuring, quick and precise. This is lovely store, you will not be disappointed. more

Alessandra was the third place I looked for my wedding dress. I found it here! The shop is small, so the staff gave me extra attention. They helped me only look for dresses within my budget, and were honest when I tried on dresses. The ladies even had a ""say yes to the dress"" moment when I found my gown! All of thier gowns are beautiful here. Would recommend to others! Pros: Nice staff more

I went shopping for my wedding dress for the first time...and the dress I was looking for was at Alessandra's so my mother and I headed up there...and little did we know we would have the greatest experience shopping for a dress!!! They brought me the dress I wanted along with about 6 more. I tried all of them on with great help from one of thier consultants her name was Sally...she kept me laughing and having a great time but was also very professional!! I felt like I was the complete center of attention!!! They were definitely willing to work with me as far as my budget goes. Found a great dress that was under my budget and found a great veil to go with it!! It was definitely a very pleasant and fun experience....isn't that what it should be when shopping for your wedding dress?? I would definitely recommend this shop to everyone!! My mother and I had a great experience!! Also...the moment my consultant Sally found out I was buying the gown...she immediately busted out into her You Found the Dress Dance!! Spotted an ad for Alessandra from a local wedding magazine. Thought I would go see it since it was near my house. I wasn't disappointed. Flavia provided the best, most personal attention. I felt like i was the only bride around even though the place was busy. Tried on a half a dozen dresses. Fell in love with a few of them. Since it was my first shopping trip after getting engaged, I tried other bridal shops, but kept thinking about my positive experience at Alessandra's and the second dress I tried on there. Went back a few days later and purchased it. Can't wait to see it when it comes in.\r \r If you want special, one-on-one treatment, go here. Dress selection is fantastic. What a wonderful experience I had shopping for my wedding dress here at Alessandra's. My consultant Sally made it fun and not stressful for me and my mother. I was amazed at the huge selection and variety of dresses right there in the store. Alessandra has been genuine and kind with me at all of my fittings. I was told initially when ordering my gown that Alessandra herself would be in charge of all my fittings and that is exactly what happened. My dress has been impeccably tailored and I feel as if I could never have received the service and knowledge at any other bridal shop. I loved Alessandra bridal! They go above and beyond to make sure you find the perfect dress for your perfect day! They will help you with any bridesmaid issues and are always willing to help you try on any dress. I tried on about 75 dresses there at 3 different times, everytime they were more then willing to help me no matter how many different dresses I wanted to try! Plus the ladies there are amazing! I visited Alessandra Bridal after looking at various bridal salons and still in search of the perfect dress. When I called to schedule an appointment they were helpful and I was able to get right in. The staff was very friendly upon arrival I had a consultantion with Flavia, she asked what I was looking for in a dress, my price range, then began to pull some off the racks. \r \r After trying on about 5 dresses, I found my perfect dress. Alessandra's staff was good at helping to add accessories with a veil and tiara, describing the bustle and making me feel like a princess. My mom had been with me and when I walked out of the room, she lost it. When I saw myself in the mirror, I knew that it was the one! I felt wonderful and knew that it was exactly what I was looking for. \r \r I have just recently ordered my dress and am excited to get it. The only thing that my dress didn't have , that I was looking for, were buttons down the back of the zipper; thankfully Alessandra's said they would be able to put buttons on for me. I am grateful for visiting the salon and am very excited about my upcoming wedding. I was a little apprehensive to go to Alessandra Bridal after reading some of the reviews written. Obviously, the customer who wrote this was mistaken. I made an appointment to view & try on Wedding gowns with My Family here in MI, as I am from KY. My Mother-in-Law highly recommened the place, as as we all know we seldom listen to our future Mother-in-Laws. However, they we're very accomadting with the appointment time I needed. I was impressed, hoping the service would be as wonderful as the phone appointment was. To say the least it was more than that, the entire staff at Alessandra's was super & so great! I went to Bridal stores in other areas around MI while here in town and did not receive the attention as I did at Alessandra's. I am a bigger gal & other places did not even have gowns in my size to try on or didn't even want to help me. Thank heaven Alessandra & her staff of professional consulatants came to my rescue, they made me feel like a million bucks, I have never felt more beautiful in my entire life as I did that day. If you truly want an exciting & stress free time in finding the perfect gown, definitely go to Alessandra's. They found me my perfect everything & even made special arrangements for me for my fittings for the same day I was in town from KY. How wonderful is that! The girls who work there are best for customer service and helped me every step of the way, I purchased my gown, plus my bridesmaids & mother's gown from there too. After finding the perfect gown & hp & veil the consultants & Alessandra herself celebrated with me through hugs, good wishes & pictures. And Sally did her special Bridal dance for me too! My picture is now is on their photo screen in the store, how magical is that, everyone who comes into the store sees how beautiful they made me look that day! I tried on about 30 dresses before going to Alessandra?s Bridal. It turned into a fun visit. Not only did they recommend an age appropriate dress to flatter my unflattering figure within my budget, they also advised on color, sizing and alterations. I feel more confident now and can?t wait to try it on after the alterations. I?m sure my son will be as proud of mom as she is of him. Pros: Great service more

My step mom got her wedding dress and her attendents dresses here and everything was great from the time we ordered until we picked the altered dresses up. No problems at all. When I got married it was the same way!! Everything has been wonderful. The owners have been great, the sales people really know what they are talking about too!! I have been there many of times and every time i go there i have a wonderful expierence. The staff is very helpful and always willing to work with you on everything. I was astonished by these negative reviews on citysearch. So when my fiend recommended this salon, I was a little apprehensive at first. Boy am I glad I didn't listen to these reviews. From the moment I went in to this salon, I was treated like a princess. The sales staff was knowledgable to what I was looking for and made my experience one to remember. They helped my mom pick her dress too! My bridesmaids found a dress they did not carry, they were very upfront about not being able to get the dress, but found a similiar one in their salon that my bridesmaids liked and did order. Once I started to go in for my fittings, I did mention the negative reviews to the owner. She was very interested in the feedback both good and bad. I believe you have to see for yourself and make your decision based on your experience. I am glad I went to this salon and will highly recommend them!!!! Pros: Friendly, knowledgable staff more

I went to Alessandra's after several recommendations from recent brides; my initial experience was very positive. They did not have the dress that I wanted, but they were willing to order it for, and they offered me a great price! I was still shopping around because this store was about a 40 minute drive, which is not convenient for fittings! However, they were offering the best deal so I called Alessandra's back to say that I was interested and gave them my bridesmaids dress selection. I left three messages with three different people over ten days, and I did not receive a call back about pricing, availability, policies etc. Then, I called ARENA BRIDAL GO THERE SAVE YOURSELF ANY HEADACHE!!! As soon as I ordered my dresses from Arena's, Alessandra's called and asked, "What was taking me so long to order my dress"\r HOW FREAKIN RUDE!!!! more

\r I went into this store with a positive attitude from day one. UNTIL Today was the day I was suppose to pick up my wedding dress. I had a 12:00 appointment, I showed up with my future husband a few minutes early, sat around then was finally called back to a dressing room. Then I was told that my dress was not ready because (the seamstress with a lot of years of experience pulled a string in my hem and most of my beading fell off). So back to waiting. Last Saturday I had two appointments one for myself and one for my daughter we showed up on time. I finally got waited on after and hour, my daughter 1.5 hrs later. They pretty much took walk-ins before they did my daughters final fitting. My daughters right shoulder of her dress kept falling down their suggestion was bridal tape for $8.00. I thought that they should have given it to me for free since the dress was not right. My right shoulder kept falling down also so they re-pinned me. My hem was pinned just right. Now back to today now my right shoulder sleeve/strap was finally right but, my left shoulder strap was falling down now. So they repinned it and were going to fix it press it and put it on a form and send me home. I was not comfortable about this and decided to try it on one more time. The hem was still messed up and seamtress blamed it on my train. I became upset especially after spending 2.5 hrs there when they told me 45 minutes, and my dress was still not right. The owners compromise was to give me my bra for half off ($25.00). My future husband was with me the whole time and told them that he/we were not going to pay for all the alterations because the dress still was not right. We were told we took ownership of the dress when one of their clerks put the dress in our car. So they decided to knock another $25.00 off. \r \r My advice to anyone going there is to keep on driving. Besides everything that I just written they also lie when it comes to pricing JUST KEEP DRIVING BY!!!!!\r more
