Unresponsive 5/16/2012

I contacted them based on some recommendation. My travel involved going to Singapore and then to India. I promptly sent an e-mail with all the details of my travel. Nobody called me. I called them and they said somebody will call me in 45 minutes. After 2-3 hours, I called them again. Talked to a person named Ramesh. He never received my e-mail so I had to explain my itinerary. Once he heard Singapore, he said, they don't deal with Singapore airlines, 'thank you' and hung up! I called them again and tried to talk to him. He said, send the detailed e-mail again with Attn: Ramesh in the title. Sent the e-mail. No response. This is my experience. Hope it is useful to others who are planning to deal with this company. more

Two thumbs up to Alanita Travel 10/17/2011

I needed to go home to Delhi the soonest. I went to Alanita Travel to book my flight for Delhi only to find out that my credit card was expired. I did not have any cash with me. I was so glad that Alanita Travel accepts check payments. It was my only chance to purchase a ticket back home. Two thumbs up to Alanita Travel. You saved my day. more

Our company has been transacting with Alanita Travel for over 4 years now. Alanita Travel is by far the best ticketing agency we've dealt with. Our bosses routinely require complex travel arrangements and Alanita gives us better fares than we can find anywhere on the internet. Just recently, we budgeted over $2500 for a scheduled business trip based on internet prices. Alanita was able to get the entire roundtrip ticket for only $1122. For a startup company like ours, that is the kind of savings that can really help us cost-cut our budget. Moreso, this agency accepts check payments. It is another plus factor why we stick it out with Alanita Travel. - Manish more

NEVER BOOK TICKETS WITH ALANITA TRAVELS 3/18/2011

If there was a negative rating, I would have given that. You got to be really really lucky to deal with guys and not burn your hands. They offer you the best price when you request a quote. But the headache starts once you confirm, irrespective of whose mistake any slight changes you make they charge $375/ticket + additional charges like fair difference etc... Am sure you might have read other reviews, expect for those 1 or 2 reviews am sure Alanita travels might have added those, every one has a bad review... Just think about it... more

I am booking my tickets through alanita travel for almost 6 years now. Before I book my tickets, I always compare the price with other agents and believe me alanita travel always offer the cheapest price. The one thing that I have noted is sometimes it takes like 4 hours for them to call you back. With the cost they offer I don't really care about the call back delay. Their agents are very helpful and cordial. Pros: Cheap price Cons: delayed response sometimes more

These guys are cheats, never buy tickets from them. I purchased a ticket that I had to unfortunately get canceled. I talked to the agent at Alanita who told me that for a certain fee, I can get complete refund. This information turned to be completely false as the airlines did not issue a complete refund and took out their own charges. Alanita made money by giving false information to me. When I tried contacting the agency, the agents were totally not helpful and did not provide a response to the false information. Don't ever buy tickets from these stupid agents. They are very bad with customer service. They did not refund my money when I cancel the ticket. They said I had to pay them commission it seems. One of the worst travel agent I ever seen. more

This travel agency is terrible. The service is bad and they make you call 50 times or more to get proper tickets and good seating. Time is money, so you are better off even if you book tickets with a more expensive agency. Pros: No pros whatsoever Cons: the worst travel agency ever more

DO NOT BUY TICKET FROM ALANITA TRAVEL 10/14/2008

I bought ticket from Alanita Travel from Chicago to Mumbai. When I called them for rescheduling they are asking for $375. And also not refunding my amount. They told me that I have to travel for that amount and they wont refund me my amount and also they wont adjust my amount if its cheaper than what I will travel next time. Pros: you will save 20-50$ Cons: They will take all your money more

avoid Alanita Travels if you expect customer service 1/28/2008

We called an agent and asked her to book a ticket from Boston to Delhi... she sent us an itenary, and we asked her 2 days later to change it for a different date. When we got the final ticket, it was booked from Boston to Hyderabad!! Pros: cheap (but for a reason - to screw you later) Cons: rude agents lack basic customer training and even ethics more

Unreliable Service & Poor Customer Service 8/28/2006

Recently we booked our flights with Alanita Travel because they quoted $54 less than Orbitz. I sent all the info they needed including credit card authorizations to them. They confirmed that everything is in order and ticket will be issued in few minutes. On their advise I removed the my infant as the infant ticket (in lap) was coming cheaper directly thru airline. Pros: Alittle lower price Cons: But, un-reliable service more
