Affordable Water

?When our old water softener system needed replacement a few weeks ago, we decided to take a comprehensive look at the various systems that are available here in Jacksonville. We had not been happy with the previous company?s service over the years.\r \r We invited sales representatives from 5 companies who have water softener systems available for residential use to explain their systems to us. After listening to all of them, we decided that Affordable Water Jax was the best value and company for us to use!!!\r \r They are a family owned business, run by Mark & Terri Kinder, and all of our interaction with them has been extremely positive! We learned that because of their outstanding service record, Affordable Water Jax earned the Angie?s List Super Service Award in 2014! They are also rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau! \r \r One of our very good long-time friends who we spoke with before deciding has been using their system for 23 years and highly recommended them. He also put one in his daughter?s home and in a small business he owned.\r \r Adam arrived promptly at the scheduled appointment time and presented us with the various alternatives. He was the only one who had a printed price schedule showing exactly what each system would cost. There was no high sales pressure at all. All of the others seemed to pull the numbers out of the air. First learned of Affordable at my dialysis clinic years ago, where clean, softened & RO water is a must, as are also dependability & quick service. Bought a softener from Affordable for our home about 1995, impressed with courtesy, promptness & quality of the softener. Now almost 20 years later it needed replacing, got a good price, quality softener again from Affordable, would not consider an off-the-shelf product from a big box store. Today the installer was right on time, courteous, and left our garage area clean, no mess or disposal problems. These are what Southerners call 'good people', would not go anywhere else. BTW dialysis clinics still use them. more

Affordable just installed a Water Softener and Reverse Osmosis System in our home. What a great experience. Everyone from the Sales staff to the Installers were friendly and professional. The water tastes great, looks great, and smells great.....huge improvement! We entertained several estimates and Affordable was reasonably priced and didn't attempt to pressure us into buying. The whole process was very easy and Affordable was very attentive to our Satisfaction throughout the entire experience. more

after 5 years, 3 charcoal packs at a hundred bucks a pop, water is 3 grains hard. Water in brine tank keeps dropping after each regeneration cycle... 5 times they came and attempted to fix it. and it's still broken..... Update, one more visit after registering a complaint with BBB, AW replaced brine filter that was completely clogged and also replaced Mineral at no charge, water is now totally soft. Thank you BBB and Affordable Water. more

Top Notch! My husband and I purchased a Water Softener and Reverse Osmosis System from Affordable Water in 1991. We still have those systems currently. We recently had a leak and I can not say enough about how Affordable Water took care of us. The leak happened after hours and their answering service put us in touch with the man on call right away. They sent Stuart out to our house and he was able to fix the leak quickly. He was very personable and helpful with any questions we had. I would absolutely recommend this company to everyone. I moved here over 10 years ago. Purchased a home with a water softener. I didn't know what it was. Never heard of hard water. I called the company it came from, but all I got was a call center. They were not very helpful or friendly. A friend from church told me about Affordable Water. Even though my system did not come from their company, they were able to service my unit and even help with my drinking water filter. I have been an Affordable Water customer for several years and have always been impressed with their operation. The knowledge level of their office and maintenance staffs are outstanding and they always provide excellent customer service. I have found that they are honest, dependable and extremely polite. When selecting my water softener I was not ?hard sold?, but rather given all the details of the equipment, a fair written estimate and was pleasantly surprised that how smooth the installation process went with no additional costs. Through the duration of owning my Affordable Water water softener, I have never been more pleased. The stafff at Affordable Water were extremely courteous and very helpful. They came out to my home, gave me a price on what my softener would cost including installation, and there were no hidden costs. I'm now enjoying all the perks of having soft water. Affordable Water originally installed my water softner when my house was built and has repaired the unit many times. When the repair man arrived today, he immediately told me that I needed many repairs that was not related to the problem. He said the cost would exceed $500. I felt as though he did not diagnose the problem in any way, but only wanted to sell me a new softner. I chose not to make the repairs, however, he charged me $67 for stopping by my house even though the dispatcher had already told me that he was working in my neighborhood today. This call did not meet my customer service expectations. Even though i have used Afordable Water for many years, I will look for an alternate service provider. more
