My Affordable Elegance experience was top notch! Super friendly staff, prompt, wonderful seamstress I couldnt have been happier!! My wedding dress turned out fabulously, and it was pressed perfect also! I tell all of my friends getting married about Affordable Elegance and they have the same experience that I had! I give it 5 stars, and agree~ Run! dont walk to check this place out!! more

I was so happy I found this bridal shop! I found the perfect dress for my wedding and they helped me put together everything - my veil and tiara, shoes and even the full slip for under my dress. The slip is a rental - which is great because I would never use something like that again! But it didn't stop there! they directed me to Connie at Floral Design to do my flowers and Rainbow Photography as my photographer- My mom lives out of town, so she would not able to help me- and she was so happy that this shop would take the time and effort to help me as I had no idea what or where to start. The ideas were great- They have an in store alteration person and the alterations done on my dress were perfect and so affordable! Everything was affordable. I would highly reccommend this shop as customer service is primo here and they made me feel like a princess! There are always two sides to every story- Unfortunately, Marcy's email went into our spam folder in my Yahoo email and we just came across it. Why her email went into the spam file- I can't answer. We have addressed the issue now that it has been brought to our attention. Marcy waited in our store as we finished the alterations on her dress-mainly in consideration to her that we did not want her to have to drive back to Coeur d alene- she lives in Spokane. We fit her while she waited. After finishing the alterations, we had her try the dress on for the last time- She said everything was fine and the fit was great. We took the dress off of her, pressed it in the back room and she left the store- saying nothing to us- This particular dress has at least 25 hooks and eyes under the main section of the dress to hold the dress in place-It is like a corset as the material is stretchy- If not all of the hooks were hooked when she put the dress on and was zipped up, this would cause the dress to not fit properly. I hooked all of those hooks when I put the dress on her in our store.- If she did not like the fit, she had every opportunity to say something then and did not- Pros: email is good Cons: email IS NOT reliable more

I bought my dress from Affordable Elegance. Overall the process was wonderful. But then we had several fittings for the alterations and I thought we finally got it right. Day of wedding - 30 minutes until pictures - we go to put my dress on and there is no eye hook for the top of the dress. Of course we don't have one ""handy"" - so we have to go without it! Also the alterations were not correct - my dress fit me horribly. I decided not to let it ruin my day and I went with it. I'm still unhappy with a lot of the pictures though. When I sent an email to let them know about the problem - they just ignored it. So that's why I decided to let everyone else know about it. A simple response even just acknowledging the problem would have helped. And now my pleasant experience at the beginning of the process is now remembered for the bad alterations at the end. Erika helped my mom and I find the perfect wedding dress! She was so helpful and gave us great ideas for our wedding- things I would have never thought about- She was patient and not pushy- we felt comfortable in this store- The other bridal shops we went to were pushy and sometimes rude. We were able to put everything on layaway, and even rent the underslip for my dress- Everything was under $1000- dress, bra, slip, shoes, tiara and veil!- and the dress we ordered also came with a free honeymoon. Our wedding went off with out a hitch, they made sure the dress was pressed and ready for me when I came to pick it up before my wedding day. I would highly reccommend this shop.
