The dentists at Accent Dental are so great. I have a huge fear of dentists, but the staff put me at ease and I got my cleaning, easy breezy.

I chose this dentist as it was closest to my home for my HMO. Beware as they loaded my treatments with what turned out to be wasteful "Local delivery antimicrobial" injections. Wh...

Beware! They just want your money! 4/23/2012

I chose this dentist as it was closest to my home for my HMO. Beware as they loaded my treatments with what turned out to be wasteful "Local delivery antimicrobial" injections. What would normally have cost approx $100 bucks for a cleaning turned into something I needed to take a loan out with to get. And oh by the way, I'm also in the military... (reservist) and the dentist I saw a week later said that it was bogus. All I wanted was a cleaning, and they're packing in whatever costs they can because they know I'll have to pay it (along with the bill they give the insurance company)! Stay away from this practice. Nice people though! They smile while they rip you off : ) P.S. Before some "Accent" dental spy comments on my review like they've obviously done with other reviews let me clarrify something. AFTER GOING TO ANOTHER DENTIST IT WAS LEARNED THAT THE INJECTIONS THEY WANTED TO GIVE ME WERE TOTALLY BOGUS! So don't try and degrade my dental hygiene! All I wanted was an cleaning! Not an advertisement for Chase bank's quick loans which, I kid you not, they told me about! Holy cow what a ripoff! I'll be paying more for my insurance plan so that I can go somewhere half-way honest. Obviously paying for the brick and mortar costs than building a geniune practice! more

Best Dental Office in Town 4/20/2012

I have been going to Accent Dental for a number of years. I am extremely satisfied with all aspects of their dental practice from making appointments, being seen immediately, friendly, easy to talk to, and reasonable pricing. I I highly recommend this dental office. more

I,ve been going to Accent Dental since 2005. These guys are clean, honest and provide great service. Very easy to get apointments, even on Saturday. I highly reccomend them to anyone living in the Pearland area. more

Easy Button 2/9/2012

Wow, What more can I say. Everywhere else I called was looking at two months to get an appointment. I got one at Accent Dental the next day. Dr Smith and his staff were fantastic, the office was clean and service was VERY professional. I had actually been diagnosed for a crown by another dentist and was seeking a second opinion. Dr Smith restored my tooth with a more conservative filling at half the cost of the previous dentist. Very Positive experience. I'll be going back. more

Pressure!!! 1/30/2012

Waited for my exam almost an hour then the dentist was in and out in under 5 minutes. Then they give me treatment plan and when I questioned the use of porcelain on a back tooth they said they would have the insurance lady do a predetermination . They insisted I go with the more expensive crown assuring me porcelains was cheaper I have two other crowns and no it's not cheaper it's more expemsive. I felt pressured as do others Im sure. I bet people who don't question and just do what ever they say are being over charged and have in necessary work done. I called back on the predetermination and guess what it was never done...... Makes me think! I won't be going back no more assembly line dental groups for me! more

If only the White House was this efficient 1/10/2012

My proceedure started on an urget basis due to severe pain. It concluded with a new bridge two weeks later. In all my visits with Accent Dental I have NEVER experienced anything negative. How do you improve perfect service. Its a shame the White House doesn't run with this level of efficiency. Dr Smith was Great. I seen allot of dentist over my life and this one rates in the top two. more

Best Dental Service in Pearland 12/21/2011

I began seeing Dr. Smith in late October and everytime i went in i was treated very proffessionally. The staff was very helpful and assisted me in every way they could. I had many teeth pulled and fixed and had no problems what so ever. They have helped me have a bueatiful smile and treated me with respect and integrity. I love the staff and highly recommend for all your dental needs. more

No integrity 12/1/2011

Accent Dental TRIED to do a root canal on my wife 11/30/2011. The dentist broke off his file deep in her tooth-gum in the root canal. He admitted he wouldn't leave the piece of file in his head, it could become infected because it broke before he could get all the root out. However they could go ahead and crown the tooth, it might be ok. When my wife said no to that, she wanted it out she was referred to a specialist that Accent Dental WILL NOT pay for, and tried to bill her over $700 for the botched job. more

Beautiful Building.. Horrible service 6/9/2011

Everything was geared toward an upsale of services not covered by insurance. They refused to do ANY work on my teeth until I got a $900.00... Yes.. NINE HUNDRED DOLLAR deep cleaning. When I grimaced at the price, they offered me several CREDIT applications so that I could put it on a payment plan. I can't believe that people need payment plans for teeth cleaning. Example of the hard upsale... "Your teeth look great, but if you don't get the deep cleaning, the bacteria will rot the root, and your teeth will crack apart. Schedule it soon before more damage occurs." (Oh by the way, its not covered by insurance, but we have a payment plan.) Also, the front desk had 3 people that were clueless on procedures, prices or schedules... unless it was a cosmetic service, which they will accept you (and your MONEY) on the spot. I went down to a Castle Dental, scheduled a deep clean for $200, and found a staff person that could help me with price, procedure, and schedule. AMAZING... all in one person. more
