Best

When i first saw their prices I was bit turned off. But I paid $4 for a mushroom slice and I was in heaven. It's not your run of the mill pizza. They put different kind sof cheese...

Worst

When the moon hits your eye.... like a big peee-zza pie..... That's amor-eeeee........ I love how colorful...

It's good but... 12/11/2003

After hearing about this place for a few years I finally got off my butt and ordred one. It was a good pizza. I found the spices and herbs they use to be initally interesting but after a few visits I got bored with it and continue my quest for the best pizza in LA. Abbot Pizza is not it. Try Johnnies NY Pizza around the block on Abbot Kinney. I think it's better. Pros: nice crust Cons: wierd spicies more

Splendalicious! 8/25/2003

Can I give Abbots an 11? I eat their pizza at least once a week, and order it with friends frequently. .. their delivery driver Glazio is a great, friendly guy, and the Schiffer Bros are characters beyond imitation. To Johnnie, Louie, and George - Keep it up guys, we love the stuff! BBQ Slices rock! Pros: quality ingredients, friendly service more

Bada Bing 8/23/2003

This place...in La! unbelievable! Getting rith to the point this place can go toe to toe with any pizzeria in THE BIG APPLE.. almost sad I gotta go back to New York! This place was suprising, flavorful and these guys are keepin it simple. As they all should be. Pros: home made, variety, attitude Cons: not in NYC, Never heard of it!, Did I say not in NYC more

a slice is nice 8/7/2003

yes, i'm an ex-new yorker and still i don't mid feta on a slice. abbot's has been doing it since before abott kinney was $$$$ and it's great to support a local, small business with great pizza. you get what you expect: interesting, good pizza, at a crowded counter shop. I you want candles and soft music, go elsewhere... Pros: cheap, great pizza, slices Cons: parking more

I'll pass 3/10/2003

Nice folks, lousy pizza. I guess the ambience is great if you're 23. The consistency of the crust is fine, but bland. The sauce? Bland. The toppings? Too little. Let's call Domino's Pros: nice staff, clean Cons: bad pizza more

Abbots pizza kicks @$$ 2/9/2003

I think their selection of pizza types was excellent. I also think it had a great atmosphere and I would go back there many more times. Pros: near beach, good atmosphere, good food Cons: crowded more

Pizza with pizzazz 2/7/2003

As a transplanted east coaster, hard to find pizza with that new york flair to it. Abbot's comes about the best to home witth either the ny style or their gourmet pies, especially the Athens Pie. Not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination, but what a refreshing and delightful experience it was when those first few bites were consumed..and has never waivered from that excellence time and tima again. Definitely beats any chain pizza...go ahead and try them...well worth the trip from anywhere in the LA area. Santa Monica location roomier and cleaner...but hey, it's the pizza yer after, not the ambience. more

Different 2/4/2003

This place was great... Interesting vibe and service! But these guys were commited to the pizza! That was all they sold and man they put everything you could think of into their product. All handmade and definitely top quality ingredients. A strong impression...quality beyond anything I would expect in LA and for that price Pros: inexpensive, fresh ingredients, fun people Cons: never heard of it!, neighborhood, need more room more

only chance for good pizza 1/2/2003

Having coming from the East Coast, where the word, ""Pizza"" really means something, I can tell you this is your only chance for good pizza on the West Side. While all other places we've tried (including those with promising names such as ""New York Pizza"", ""The Slice"", and ""North End Pizza"") have failed MISERABLY, Abbot's has the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce, the crust is excellent, and the selection of things to put on top is impressive. A must to try is their Gypsy pizza. Pros: crust, crust, crust more

Careful...It's HOT! 12/13/2002

I'm so glad I came across this small pizza joint (it can literally sit 10 people) during my summer internship at Venice, CA. I live about 20 minutes away, but I still go back once in a while. It is great pizza...nice, big slices (though thin, so you won't get TOO stuffed). Crust reminds me of those thin crackers that cost way too much that you eat with wine and cheese...the kind with the sesame seed. Go try it. Pros: BAGEL CRUST, VALUE, UNIQUE more

How could you vote for another? 11/25/2002

Inventive combos, fresh ingredients, and the best ""hot"" crust around. Always good. Go to the original on Abbott Kinney for the full experience (reservations do not apply) and be sure to leave a tip. more

Stinky-Sweet Pizza 11/14/2002

This pizza has a very unique appeal. It not only has great red sauce, but it also has garlic and pesto. The 3 brothers from New York did an excellent job with the different varieties of recipes. more

East Cost on the West Side 10/7/2002

Yummy, yummy! i loooooooove this pizza! My favorite is an EXTRA LARGE (which is not listed on the menu) with extra sauce, a sesame seed crust and half pepperoni! It is so huge and so filling! I go to the one on Pico and it is very convenient. Try it! Pros: Yummy, East Coast, Friendly more

outstanding!! 10/3/2002

The Pizza was one of the tastiest I've had. You can customize your pizza in a number of ways by choosing not only the toppings but what goes around the crust. I choose minced garlic and it was outstanding!! Get it to go. Eat it with friends and they'll all die to know where you got it! Pros: quality toppings, quality dough, Great sauce Cons: small interior, not enough seating, mostly to go place more

ooooooh my! 8/24/2002

The thin-crusted ones are so light and tasty that I cannot help but think that if I were a pizza, I'd want to be Abbot's Pizza. The place is super-chill and has a loyal clientel. They are nice people in there and their pizza is AMAZING! The cheese is just salty enough. The crust is perfect (thin or deep!). Pros: get beer across strt, low-maint place to be, yummmmmmm Cons: very small, not many seats more

NY wishes they had this! 7/11/2002

Why did it take Angelenos to figure out that bagels make a good crust? Spicy chicken and BBQ chicken bot rock! Positively addictive! more
