My water heater failed today after 10 years of service. My call to Rescue Rooter brought service technician Shon B. to my house. I explained to him I'm very hard of hearing and he was most patient with me and tried his best to communicate with me, and he did an excellent job with that. He checked the water heater and found the heating unit needed to be replaced. He presented his opinion on repairing it or just replacing the whole water heater. He explained the situation very effectively, and I knew from a previous conversation. a couple of years ago with Robert M., another Rescue Rooter technician who I've known for many years, that Shon B. was being was being accurate about the course of action. It was time for a new water heater. The important factor was the replacement possible the same day, and Shon assured me that he would have it done today. He picked up the new one, and did a excellent job of removing the old one and installing the new one. When he was done, he made sure the patio area was cleaned off of the old sludge that leak out of the old unit, and the work area was cleared of all the new packaging material. I had him come into the house to take care of the paperwork, and he took great strides in not bringing in any dirt or shoe prints from the job. He took care of filling out the extended warranty card for me. Shon was a pleasure to deal with, a fine young gentleman, and excellent technician. He provided an all around outstanding experience.
