TOOK TOO LONG 12/6/2013

I scheduled my basement to be finished and Bob told me it would take about 2 weeks. After the initial estimate, there were a few minor modifications-putting a closet around the water main and adding a window well cover. It took 7 weeks to get the job done. This is not acceptable and even though the work was good, I would not recommend them. more

They do fairly good work. However, review your invoice VERY carefully! They slip in a lot of line items that you're not aware of. Be very careful of these guys, they are not what they come of as. We got ripped off very quietly. \r more

Very pleased 8/3/2011

I was very pleased with the number of projects that I had Andy on call do for me. From a small jobs as recaulking the bath,hooking up the ice maker,dishwasher etc. to a large project of doing a complete wood floor in my Kitchen, hallway,& living room. The service was excellent, again on time no issues. I will and countiune to recomened there company to friends and co workers. more

All about customer service 7/14/2011

I have used Andy OnCall for a long time. I have tried a couple other handymen, but they did not measure up to Andy OnCall. I had them make a repair to a reclining chair, but it broke again. Still, they were very nice. Also, the person I speak with over the phone is fabulous. She is all about customer service and she is great about getting back in touch. I would use them again. more

Knowledge, and professionalism 7/12/2011

Excellent craftsmanship combined with superior professionalism directly describes Andy On Call. I had the company build a 3 1/2 foot high, 32 feet long stone porch on the front of my house. They also completed the flooring on my stone shower which my previous contractor was unable to make level. Lastly, Andy On Call installed a garbage disposal which needed to have electricity connected to the disposal. I had the fortune to have a tremendous experience with the same craftsman for all three jobs, Pete. Pete did a great job and represented the company with class, knowledge, and professionalism. more

Service is consistently excellent 7/8/2011

I've called Andy on Call since 2006 and continue to use them because the service is consistently excellent for all services. 2 weeks ago, my auto pilot on my gas stove wouldn't stop beeping and I smelled gas. I called AOC in desparation. Within 10 min of my call, Bob (the owner) called me. He reassured me I was in no danger, while he was on the phone with me he went on line and looked up the problem and gave me best advice. He was excactly right and all is well. The outstanding part -- he spent 20 min of his Saturday morning on the phone with me. No bill or mention of money, no judgment for what I did to cause the problem. I received professional service in a manner that I felt he really cared about my safety, relief of frustration and angst, and getting the problem resolved. These things are fodder for loyalty. He's got mine. And I'm telling all my friends -- in the area and outside of it! Bob, you rock! Thank you sooo much!! more

I have used Andy OnCall numerous times when I have a home job that I can't do. They do what they say and say what they do!! Very professional and trustworthy people who do exactly what you need them to do. Like I said, I have used them and I will use them again in the future. more

Helped me remodel my kitchen 6/28/2011

Andy on call helped me remodel my kitchen. Drywall, tile backsplash, finish carpentry, wallpaper application, painting. I was the general contractor for my project and couldnt have done it (and come in under my budget) without Andy on call. very happy. more

Assisted us quickly and efficiently 6/23/2011

My husband and I purchased a new home this year and were taken advantage of by a shady contractor. I called Andy On Call and explained what happened to us and informed them of the time restraint our family was under. Bob and team jumped in with both feet and assisted us quickly and efficiently. I rely on ANDY ON CALL for all my house repair needs and do not hesitate to call them when something goes wrong that is beyond my abilities, which are limited to say the least. Their people do good work and explain the situation to me so I know what to expect. I trust them enough to leave them on their own while I am at work. Their charges are fair. I highly recommend them. more

Bob remembers by names. He is prompt in sending some one to give you an estimate and sees that the job is finished promptly to your satisfation. Charges are very reasonable. He calls back to find out wihether the work was carried out to your entire satisfaction. Job is done at your convenience. more

I would definitely recommend Andy On Call 6/9/2011

I just had some plumbing work done on my apartment by Andy On Call and I was very impressed with the work and how smoothly the entire process went. Bob, the owner, was very helpful on the phone and the plumber went so far as to explain to me what to do in the future if anything broke or seemed off. He was very professional. It turned out I had a lot more wrong with my pipes than anticipated; he had to stay longer than planned, but did so with no extra charge. The plumber made sure I was happy with all of the work and was very thorough. Bob even followed up with me on how the work went. I would definitely recommend Andy On Call. more

Horrible experience! 3/16/2011

Rip Off Alert: The owner, Bob Steinmetz, cannot and will not resolve problems stemming from poor craftsmanship of his contractors. We hired AOC to build a shower & after I signed the invoice, we discovered it leaked, it was constructed of inferior products, the shower valve was installed upside down, our custom shower pan was scratched and gouged, the shower door was installed crooked, we had no hot water, very little water pressure, and many other issues. They were not skilled enough to make the necessary repairs and corrections after 3 months, we fired them and requested a refund as stated in their guarantee. But they refused. Their efforts to fix the problem included trying to cover up the leak, offering to stand in the shower with an umbrella, and spending hours staring at the shower scratching their heads. After 3 inspections by NARI contractors we had to tear out the shower and start all over, & because they have an arbitration contract only (which is a joke), we are out $5,000. more
