AAMCO of Jacksonville seemed to know what they were talking about. They treated me fairly, followed up, and seemed to be genuinely concerned about whether my car was working properly. more

Thoroughly satisfied. 7/20/2012

I tore up my transmission, I only had one gear left, and I had it towed in to AAMCO Transmission and Auto Service. They took care of the whole thing. They told me exactly what they were going to do step by step, including a couple of possibilities. They did everything they said, after I agreed to it, and I had my transmission the next day. I turned it in Thursday, and I was driving it Friday afternoon. I can't expect better, plus I got a warranty. I just need to bring it in once a year around the anniversary, and it will be good for another year. It was my first time using AAMCO Transmission, and I am very satisfied with the work. I didn't get one drop of oil on my driveway. They do other types of work as well, so I intend on bringing any problems back to them. I am thoroughly satisfied with what I got so far. more

THe owner and staff were straight forward, helpful and courteous. The owner even called me a few days later to see if all was well. RARE in todays world 7/1/2012

THe team on Atlantic Blvd. were just great. I appreciated their straight forward approach. Ford had tried to screw me on prices....you guys were much more fair and reasonable, earning my business. more

Honest! 5/30/2012

My air condition started making a noise. Arlington area AAMCO was unable to get the air conditioner to act up again and even had me drive the technician around to see if we could recreate the discrepancy. It never recurred. Although a number of manhours were involved in attempting to troubleshoot this problem, they did not charge me. (It may have been a leaf lodged in the system.) It would have been easy for them to replace something (or pretend to) and say, "We fixed it, it was such-and-such component, that will be $175." This is my new garage. more

Will go there again 5/23/2012

Went there for a clutch job. They had told me my truck was miss firing, which it's not, but the guy didn't try and sell me plugs and wires after I told him my truck wasn't miss firing. ( just changed plugs and wires) so I thought that was odd..... But no hidden fees they treated me with respect and a semi up front quote. I paid a little bit more for worn hardware but that's to be expected. So over I will go there again. Honest shop, which is hard to find. RESPONSE FROM AAMCO Transmissions & Auto Service: We advised customer that the truck was shaking and misfiring at idle. There were no codes present in the computer, so we told him it MIGHT need plugs and wires. He advised us that he had changed same recently and had not noticed the misfire. more

Absolutely the best.. 4/26/2012

I brought my SUV in on a Saturday recently because of issues with my transmission. An hour later (on a Saturday no less) the gentleman at Aamco called me to let me know the damages and told me exactly how much it would cost for repair. I was thoroughly impressed with the competency, speed and unmatched customer service of these guys. Aamco is an incredible value and worth every penny. My family has done alot of business with Aamco over the years and will continue to do so. more

2000 Maxima Transmission Rebuild 4/12/2012

The rebuild went very smooth. After picking vehicle up and driving it; she did not shift as smoothly as I anticipated that it would. I took her back and the service was impeccable. They made the necessary adjustments/repairs and the car drives and shifts effortlessly. Thanks to the entire staff at AAMCO; Mr. Miller, Seth, and the guys. Professional, on time, and reasonably priced. 3/19/2012

A friend of mine recommended AAMCO on Atlantic boulevard of Jacksonville when I mentioned that I needed some work done on my car. I needed the transmission rebuilt in my Acura CL, which I consider a major job. I took a chance with AAMCO, since I had never used them before, and I am very satisfied with the results. The people at AAMCO were very honest, and they had my vehicle back to me on time. And when I picked the car up, it was very clean. Their facility is clean, as well, and that is important to me. I recommend AAMCO not just for transmissions, but for everything. After my good experience, I sent my friend there, and she had an equally good experience. I should mention, too, that they have very reasonable prices. I am very pleased with their service. more

Informative and Say what they will do 3/8/2012

I unfortunately had to replace a transmission on a 1998 Town & Country. Expecting the worst, I took it to Aamco. Although I paid more than I wanted to (who wants to pay for a repair?), I felt everyone was up front and honest about what was needed and I felt that they were trying to do whatever possible to avoid any unecessary expense. more
