Personal and immediate attention 9/26/2013

It was the immediate attention given to me when I came to the shop at the very last minute very concerned about my car. The young man took the time to make sure what the problem was, and it turned out it was not the problem I thought it was. I was able to bring the car in the next morning to be serviced. more

James, Billy and the Staff at A Helping Hand Automotive are True Professionals. I have had majior issues with all 4 of my cars in the past year. Each time the issue was diagnosed, explained, estimated and repaired on budget in a timely fashion. These folks are honest and dependable. A hard find in today's world. If you need car maintaince or repair this is where you need to go. more

Okay, so I called a few places in order to see what it would cost to install a steering pump and also get an oil change on my car, a 2000 Nissan Maxima. Now I know my car is old, and that the installation fee shouldn't cost that much, but I got OUTRAGEOUS prices, ranging from 150.00-396.00 (dealer price). I had bought the steering pump, and I just couldn't figure that one out. So I was frustrated. Frustrated enough to thumb through the phone book to look for places and match prices. And that's when I found A Helping Hand Automotive. On a whim, I called, expecting to hear the same outrageous price quotes, but Helping Hand was different. They gave me a VERY reasonable price for what I wanted, and I was completely satisfied. Not only that, but they also washed and cleaned my car, something that hadn't been done for 3 years, absolutely FREE! I have 2 other cars to be serviced, and when it comes time for them, A Helping Hand Automotive definitely has my business HANDS DOWN, NO QUESTION. Extremely reasonable prices, extremely nice guys. If you happen to go there, be sure to ask for Bill!! more

Truthfulness, trustworthiness . 8/13/2013

I recently took my van (her name is Daisy) back to A Helpjng Hand because I was pretty sure she needed brakes. I could only afford either front or back brakes. Both Billy and James questioned me about needing brakes and true to what I know about them, they let me know that I did not need brakes at all but tires instead! They don't even sell tires (unless you want them to order them for you). They went over and beyond, stayed on track eith the time they said they'd be done and even rotated my dangerous tires without being asked or paid for that. They treat me like they would want someone to treat their wives, mother or sister. They are truthful and trustworthy. more

A suggestion: Work load and timetables change. An automatic update system on the status of a customer's car via text or email will limit the amount of phone calls required for you. There are "off the counter" systems for small businesses that you could add to the computer systems in each bay. The tech could just point and click on the mouse as the job goes through the stages of repair. Maybe 5 texts max: Parts ordered, car in bay, car completed, car ready for p/u and a text for call us we have additional repairs. Hope this helps. more

I have been using them for years. They have been so good to help me repair my car at the most reasonable way. They have kept my 2001 vehicle on the road. The people are very nice and caring. I have recommended them to a lot of people and the ones that have used them also have been very happy. more
